I rather like them flame. And can I just say aaaaaaaaah at the pic of B in her school uniform - makes her look so grown up!

mrm - how was the dentist in the end?

mustrunmore · 14/11/2007 14:01

Jas, I was htniknig about you on the bus. Hope you didnt think i was ignoring you because I didnt comment before we left the house this morning. Come and escpe over here next weeek.

Flame, will he fit into 12-18 H+M tops by December? Or is that pushing it, even for him?! Oh, and the Thomas was the freaky one.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/11/2007 15:43

It seems that dd is making up for having no nap yesterday. She's been asleep since 1:15 . Off to wake her up I think, as need her to be in bed at 8 ready for reflexology woman!

Flame · 14/11/2007 17:16

Yes he will - 18-24 swamp him

Thanks for looking for Thomas

Jas · 14/11/2007 17:38

Could I come to you on Tuesday or Thursday pm mrm?

Flame - I think you aren't sure because the new glasses are so different. They do suit your face shape better than the old ones, and once you are used to them I'm sure you will like them.

Ds is asleep. I've tried to keep him up toa aviod the nightmare night times we've been having, bu have to spend an hour with him in the buggy between school clubs brownies and home, and no way to keep him awake. I'm going to wake him up and feed him now. No idea what tonight will be like.

I have pictures of shed-with-roof on my camera (at least there is actual work being done with all this stress). It still isn't finished, but the majority of it is done, and he is moving bak inside tomorrow.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/11/2007 20:23

Someone (everyone!) send me some mastermind challenges to do after my reflexology will you?

Jas - I read your post and thought for a moment that you had had dp sleeping in the shed .

Flame · 14/11/2007 20:25

I'm hoping to get masterminding when I am caught up on work. Wanting to chat but I haven't taken any of it in.

Exhausted. Been at Psycho's all evening, rushing round all day, and DS has gone to bed sounding very rattley

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/11/2007 20:26

Blimey mrm - have you seen how much that garage is going for?!

Frizbe · 14/11/2007 20:51

Oh I'm so crap at mastermind will send you one tomorrow CSWS too humilated by my last score against you!

Flame sure glasses look great hon, sometimes things take getting used to

MRM Happy Birthday to DS1 for this week! when is it, Thur, Fri? did he get sung to?

{{{Hugs}}} Jas, what can we do to help?

Uni, thanks for the offer, but it was CSWS we were trying to recommend stuff to! but she already has it!! sure someone will take you up on the offer though?

Night from hell last night, spent on matress on floor by dd2, up every hour/half hour crying....combi of poorly and those back 4 teeth on the go I think she's been manky all day today too, however has currently gone to bed and seems to be getting better/is too knackered to cry at the mo......also got up to dd1 having a nose bleed all over the place.....happy day off

Jas · 14/11/2007 20:52

@ dp sleeping in the shed. I'll let him put a door on it before I move him out

I hope you get the mastermind game csws. It took me ages to load it up.

Jas · 14/11/2007 20:56

Thanks Frizbe I'm ok mostly, but dp only has to do one little thing and it pushe me over the edge. Luckily he is working hard, and the wiring is finished so things are looking up.

for the bad night. I hope things are better tonight. You will be looking forward to going to work for a rest soon!

Frizbe · 14/11/2007 20:58

your probably right Jas

Glad your dp is getting the house sorted for you, a big relief I hope
Sorry about the bike and the balls sure bad karma will get them back.

mustrunmore · 14/11/2007 21:33

How much csws?I deleted it off my watchlist.

Flame; I'll keep them for you. There's 3 plain long sleeved tops of diff colours, a stripey one, plus the two that me and ds1 tie dyed. He still fits his, so he wants to do more for ds2!

Jas; either day would be lovely. Just let me know. Er, do you remember my ds1 nursery times? I dont think I'll convince my neighbour to take him this time! It does take a chunk out of the afternoon by bus! I'm out 12.30 till 1.30 then 3 till 4. Unles you fancy getting the bus up there with us

Frizbe, the actual big day is Sunday, but the pary iFriday. Yep, he got sung to, and got a card and a storybook. Which is very nice, but very American, so I have to translate while reading! And also has the word 'stinky' in the title, so you can imagine the hilarity of that

mustrunmore · 14/11/2007 21:34

Jas, did I have something else for you apart from the gate? Or am I thinking of someone else?

mustrunmore · 14/11/2007 21:34

Ooo, and bring my napies! And be prepared to train me inthe use of them!

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/11/2007 22:07

7 mins to go and it's at £47 plus postage .

Come on Jas - done your mastermind.

DD has learned the word 'why'. Life's never going to be the same again is it?

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/11/2007 22:15

Oh, lots of people keep asking what they should get dd for Christmas, and one (who I think enjoys picking something herself) has asked what she shouldn't get her. Can anyone share ideas please - we have a very short list so far!

EachPeachPearMum · 14/11/2007 22:27

Hi everyone- sorry, no mning for a few nights- dd is still having sleep problems, and then to cap it she is poorly- last night started convulsing, dh phoned nhsdirect who called an ambulance crew- her temp was 40 . Got her temp down, and managed to keep it down most of today. dh and I slept (hahaha.... well curled up in a sleeping bag next to her bed) in turns last night, and she had a longish nap this afternoon.

Isn't sleeping well this evening- is taking an hour to fall asleep (and insists someone stays with her) then sleeps for an hour, then wakes again. Its dh's turn at the moment.

Nice glasses Flame!

EachPeachPearMum · 14/11/2007 22:37

re christmas... duplo, wooden train set, wooden dollshouse, wheelybug, play food/shop items, buggy for dolls/bears, tea set.

Dd's favourites this week are a stripey fish finger puppet (£2 for 8 from ikea) and 6 conkers of varying shapes sizes, which get 'cooked' in her pans, or fed to bear, or used as 'money' to shop with.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/11/2007 22:38

for convulsions EPPM. I know they're not supposed to, but dd has twice had stupidly high temps (highest recorded was 40.4) when getting new teeth through. Do you think it could be that?

EachPeachPearMum · 14/11/2007 22:41

For those of you with older children- do you have father christmas at your house? How did he get introduced?

I am unhappy introducing it due to the lie element, but don't want her to miss out on the magic of christmas as it were.

Dh and I are both atheist, so she won't get much advent build up as it were... and we're not big on commercialised excess either... might get away with saying nothing this year of course, but not sure what approach nursery will take.

EachPeachPearMum · 14/11/2007 22:43

Well- she had been at the docs with a cough that morning, and he though it was likely a virus.

She has got most of her teeth tbh- not sure when rest of her molars will come in - but now you've said that, she has been chomping on her hand quite a bit this week so maybe.

And yes- dr, and hv always discounted temperatures as teething, but she had a temp for every single one so far!

Jas · 14/11/2007 23:07

The problem with teeth and temps is that your dc haven't read the right books and aren't doing what they are told!
I hope things settle quickly EPPM.

I've done your mastermind (I think) csws, but as I was putting in the (I hope) solution to my next one it went offline. It took me ages to work out, and I bet it hasn't stored it.

I'm going down the no toys route as much as possible for presents. I'm asking for contributions to PWP season tickets, and dd1 wants to sponser the pony at our farm. I alays ask for clothes, too. Any role play/dressing up type stuff would be good as she will be getting into it more and more so you'll get good use out of it.

I'v never introduced FC to mine as such (They know all the men you see are dressed up) but they just absorb it by osmosis. Nursery will probbly have a visit, but mine have always been happy tht he is just a man dressed up to give presents from the nursery.
Their nan snuck outside their bedroom two years ago with sleigh bells and based on that, dd2 still believes. DD1 has never been sure, but I just tell her it is ok not to believe, but that lots of children do, and try and stop her from telling her friends.

EachPeachPearMum · 14/11/2007 23:14

whats PWP Jas?

LOL at the sleighbells.

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/11/2007 07:12

Paradise Wildlife Park.

Dressing up stuff is a good idea, as it still leaves plenty of scope for choice.
