I have glasses

It is really weird - they have wide arms so I have a blind spot each side. I have gotten used to an unframed world too, so it is the getting used to it again. No pleasing some people

Frizbe - I completely forgot to send you a cheque Can I do a bank transfer instead if you send me the details?

Any help here too please ladies?www.mumsnet.com/Talk/1800/423038?stamp=071113191428

Flame · 13/11/2007 19:56

Frizbe · 13/11/2007 20:15

Hello, CSWS I've added what we do, but I reckon everyone else has covered it!

Flame for new glasses, will send you details so you can transfer, it should be in on Thur, I'll get it in post asap.

gwer, no forgot entirely what I was going to post.....

Frizbe · 13/11/2007 20:26

MRM PMSL re the dalek potty

Jas · 13/11/2007 20:41

new glasses.
CSWS - I've read your other thread. NQC gives good advice on this one. Attention to injured child, take dd away, and for repeat offences, go home She sill learn/grow out of it eventually. I am that it was thought worth a special word with you.Sounds totally normal to me.

I'v had a busy day.Started fairlybadly when I found my bike has been stolen. alongwith all ds' ball pit balls. Ended badly when I went to tidy up and found that p has given lots of ds' toys to the charity shop during his decluttering today

In between we got lots done, and had quite a good day.

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/11/2007 20:45

I thought that was a mistype at first, but now realise that it's a pointed omission of d before the p!

for theft.

Chloe55 · 13/11/2007 20:46

Your bike was stolen?

I'm hoping someone will steal my car, have had it unlocked for weeks now as it is totally knackered but no such luck

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/11/2007 20:48

Be careful what you wish for Chloe - you may find that your insurance company won't pay out if it is left unlocked.

Chloe55 · 13/11/2007 20:55

I am scrapping it anyway CSWS - I wouldn't get a penny for it!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/11/2007 20:59

Ah right .

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/11/2007 21:00

Actually, have you thought about offering it (for parts) on freecycle? Might save you the hassle of getting rid of it yourself.

Chloe55 · 13/11/2007 21:03

That's not a bad idea - dh reckons we might get £50 for scrap though. I seem to remember someone telling me that you have to pay to scrap your car now though, not the otherway round - anyone know if this is the case?

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/11/2007 21:09

I'd heard that too Chloe, but don't know if it's true or not. Guess the easiest thing is to phone your local scrapyard and ask.

UniS · 13/11/2007 21:10

Friz- if you want a copy of rapidough I have one that has sat unplayed in teh cupboard for at least 2 years since it was given to us. CAn look at how much it costs to post if you want one.
JoFan- shoes of here, tho I dont; sweat it if a guest doesn;t , it just mildly annoys me. i hgues we are just being a bit Japanesse. Out door shoes live in the porch, slippers in the house, garden shoes live by back door (boy has both slippers and garden shoes). Teh porch does look very Japanesse as it a big jumble of shoes all over teh floor most of the time. Used to make me smile in Tokyo to see 100s of pairs of shoes out side a sports hall. always manged to find my own again tho.
All OK at chez uni, boy v grumpy this avro as he didn;t nap mid afternoon, just spent 30 mins in cot chattering. Had our first tear free leaving in creche today, he just wanted to get on a play with teh trains. CAme back to find him happily circling the playground on a trike, report from a playworker that hes been calling her by name ( sort of nayo for naomi) and then he snaffled all teh remaining cucumber from snack time on his way out the door.

Any bright ideas from you guys on getting messages about the importance of talking with preschool children across to illiterate parents? Our surestarts centre theme next year, not sure how to get info to those families who REALLY need it. Slightly preaching teh converted with those families who use the centre. Plenty in the area who don;t.

Flame · 13/11/2007 21:10

We had to pay to scrap the old peugeot (?sp)

P giving away toys - were they much loved and played with ones?

Thieves - please tell me the balls were in a bag.....

Thanks MRM - didn't update the stock list

OP posts:
Jas · 13/11/2007 21:40

The missing d was actually a typo It isn't his fault about the bike or balls (which were in two bags as new) The toys were mostly second hand, but I get really cross when he does things like that without checking with me first. He assumes ds doesn't play with them but isn't here to see if he does or not.

I am extremely stressed and permanently on the verge of a breakdown at the moment, so he is treading on eggshells around me. I got apologies and chocolate

I had infected exzema on my lags a few years ago Frizbe.Itwas nasty. I hope the abs clear it up.

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/11/2007 21:48

Worth starting a thread on your illiterate parents project UniS - there are a few people who spring to mind who would be bound to have some good ideas on that sort of thing.

Jas. When I feel on the verge of a breakdown, I get very snappy, so dh picks fights with me. Apologies and chocolate sound great, and it's good to hear that your dp is not all bad . Is there anything we can do to help with your stress levels?

Didn't I have infected eczema some time recently?
[memory like sieve as so used to eczema on hands]

Flame · 13/11/2007 22:00

I don't know if I like my glasses

No point in putting a picture on here because I don't want honesty - if you all hate em I have spent £150 on comedy glasses

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 13/11/2007 22:04

But that's very selfish. If they are comedy glasses then you could at least give us a laugh .

Flame · 13/11/2007 22:07

flame - if you just got 2 mastermind invites from me then accept one and reject the other, as they are the same! I got an error message whilst it was sending and then it appeared twice in my list.

mustrunmore · 14/11/2007 08:52

I want to see the glasses

Just realised I could've bought a skeleton hoody with the money dh spent on the toilet seat Saw a cute fleece version in Asda, ds2's size!

big hurry; off to playgroup as ds1 is hoping they will sing happy birthday to him as its this week. And the house looks like shit. I went to collect atent from freecycle last nigft, then to asda. Dh gave me time t osort out some stuff before I went (xmas and bday pressies etc), but then obv did nothing while I was out. It grates on me when I know it needs doing. Have also got my firnds hoover here on a trial run as she got a new one. But haventy had time to try it yet. Dh doesnt want it because he loves Henry so much. But it just doesnt suck well enough anymore. Sory, very inane rambling...

Flame · 14/11/2007 11:18

Glasses are up.

Positive comments this morning, but I still feel like i am in comedy glasses.

Better do a thread in style too because I told them I would show them when they came.
