I'm all for a good bit of fantasy and have no qualms about lying to have a bit of magic in a child's life.

From the very first Christmas we have talked about Santa coming, bringing presents (only some of the presents or it gets into the having to explain that Santa can't afford a wii at a very early age iyswim).

A throw back from my own Christmas is looking out of the window before bed on Xmas Eve and asking if they can hear bells... it is amazing how clearly a child can hear bells if mummy can (I was convinced for years after finding out about a lack of FC that my dad was shaking bells outside... it turns out he wasn't, I just believed enough to hear bells!).

I haven't emphasised the naughty/nice thing - it always seemed wrong to me that the evil little git at school still got presents .

I've told B all about Yule too, and will start with Emrys joining in this year. I leave Jesus to school and tv

DS is ill again - he now seems to have the cold that DD had at the weekend, and PsychoBoy2 has now (PB2's has turned into very nasty croup )

Apologies for my appalling mastermind playing last night . I was exhausted and the colours kept merging - really shouldn't play in that state but I am starting to think I will never be properly awake again!!!

Christmas - Little dude is getting mainly thomas and trains stuff.

I prefer decent wooden toys to lots of cheaper plastic, but I seem to be being overruled this year . We're trying to go for more books though to stop the mass of untouched toys!

From my sister B is getting Charlie and Lola Fuzzy Felts, Spiderman Box Set, and a disney board game. Emrys is getting two thomas books and his doll. They are getting Puff The Magic Dragon between them

Well, you all know what the boys re getting for xmas, as io've been on about my xmas shopping often enough Got my Dad to get his pressie for ds1 yesterday (that was the last thing unsorted), and he's gonig to be sooo excited. He's got him the Dinoco helicopter where Mater pops out.

EPPM - how scarey, I'd have been terrified, seems you handled it very calmly though. Hope your lo starts feeling better soon.

Not sure what we will do about FC. In-laws are highly religious of the Catholic type - I think, as I am an agnostic, that they think I am gonna put doubts about God etc in ds's mind, I won't but neither will I actively participate in Godly discussions I don't think. FC, however, I can't wait to put out the big boot footprints/jingle bells/leave a mince pie, brandy and carrot!

Got a thomas set! Managed to convince a guy on ebay to end the auction early. Spent £10 which was slightly more than I planned, but I think I'll be able to get B's cheaper so it will all balance out

Well, I didn't buy a test, coz guess what?....Came on just before I went shopping!! Well, I say I have come on - not really sure as had absolutely no period pains, no headache (which I normally get) and no PMT? Weird, oh well - my body is a bit weird at the mo.

Jusr realised; I didnt answer you about the dentist, did I? He had to have a filling Nothing wrong with our brushing, but where his enamel didnt form on hte back teeth, they'll always be weak and chip off Dentist now says it wasnt just from taking antibiotics whilst pg, it could also be if ds1 had the squits etc v badly as a baby, which I'm sure he prob did. He was very brave anyway; only complained once, about 'the hoover'.

11.30 to 12 is fine. It finishe 11.30, but the boys never beahave during the singing, so we always leabve a bit early Its just on the minin roundabout on thr main road by ours(well, in a church there, not just on the roundabout!)

Just remembered that I bought (identical) presents for 2 of my NCT group earlier in the year! They both have birthdays between Christmas and New Year though, so could always give them for that instead.

evening all!
Well- she's much better tonight! (thank goodness, DH and I were starting to get seriously frazzled)
Her temp has been fine, still coughing a bit, but mostly quiet.

She spent 2 hours screaming at dh this evening until I came home from work, then asked for an apple, and to go to bed Obviously was a 'good' thing though, as she went to sleep quickly, and by herself- YAY!

She has cried out a few times this evening, but settled herself each time.

At east something good has come out of her illness- she's forgotten to be scared by everything back to her old self methinks.
