Morning all

Liath, sorry to hear about your cousin

nutty, hope Erin's ok and that you get a better night tonight

smb, hope T's OK

We had a better night - D woke up at 4 but was probably only up - nappy change by me and feed by dp - for a little over half an hour - I fell asleep and woke up at 6.30 as per alarm to find both dp and D fast asleep next to me on the bed. I moved D to his cot about 7 am where he stayed asleep until 8 while I put away clothes, read and ate breakfast and dp got himself ready for work. He hasn't taken a big feed this morning but I guess the 4 am feed was an extra one, and while I'd love to go back to him sleeping through until at least 6 am, pref 6.30/7, this was the least disruptive night feed I could imagine, we both still felt like we'd had a night's rest. I've calmed down about the D's health worries, sleep helped no doubt.

Talking of baby show, is anyone going to be at the London one at the end of the week? Probably wouldn't go just to go, it's not that easy to get to but might come to meet people if anyone's around to meet.

leakyR · 15/10/2007 10:05

Yes the MRI results have been put back a day, which isn't helping anyone's nerves.

leakyR · 15/10/2007 10:06

Ok really am going now

SharpMolarBear · 15/10/2007 10:15

we'll kick you off if we see you lurking!

Great news that Eva hasn't had another seizure since they reduced the meds - great that SIL has been able to BF too - hope they do the scan soon and that the rsults are favourable - Continuing to think and pray. xxxx NOW GO & DO SOME CLEANING!!!

@ your cousin having a stroke, Liath - only 30!! Really praying he is going to pull through ok, do post when you have any more info.

to pants nights NNNB and SMB Hoping it will be better tonight and they will both sleep well today (two are often linked, I find).

Yey to better night though, Elkie.

P consistantly wakes at 6am - I know I am so fortunate she is a good sleeper, but it is sooooooo early!!

My friend had her twins this morning at 2.33 and 2.46am respectively (forceps delivery, but out of the "lady hatch" ) Sooooo proud of her - They are identical twins boys - Hurrah!

LOL @ Mr Ele

Are you aure you are going to wait a couple of years for another, SMB!!!?

CaptainDippy · 15/10/2007 10:50

Should say sure

Idreamofbroomsticks · 15/10/2007 10:55

Morning, haven't posted for ages and took me a while to find you...what happened to the other thread - did someone say something norty?

GMM - how scary about C's choking incident. I have to say it scares the bebjeebers out of me too, so sticking with mostly mush here ATM (S isn't 6 months yet, so is really still too little for BLW anyway).

Leaky - so glad to hear that Eva is making good progress. I do keep thinking about her and wondering how she's doing.

Liath - so, so sad and shocking about your cousin. I hope she makes a full recovery.

SOL - I'm so glad you said what you did about feeling more bonded with K than with B. I feel exactly the same, so much more protective over S. I guess it's more to do with their ages (S is 5 months, E is 5 years) so I would naturally be more protective over a defenceless baby than a bolshy 5 yo. It's got nothing to do with love, as I love them both fiercely. I too had PND with E and E was a tricky baby which didn't help. We have been so much more relaxed with S and she is a really chilled-out little soul, so this has been a more enjoyable experience all round.

DH actually had the weekend off, so went to Legoland on Saturday, and I took E to see Angelina Ballerina at the theatre yesterday, so a nice family weekend was had by all!

SharpMolarBear · 15/10/2007 11:00

Glad you had a family weekend idob- sounds like it was much needed
Dippy, yes, definitely waiting should have said how lovely to be surounded by other people's babies!!

mammyjo · 15/10/2007 11:51

Morning all! Sending >> to all those who need them!

F actually slept from 10pm through to 5am That is the best night we have had in months. Very very grateful for a good few hours of unbroken sleep as I havent been getting much lately!

CD, congrats to your friend on her twin boys lol at lady hatch!

Liath, to hear about your cousin. So young, hoping she is improving xxxx

Leaky, still thinking of beautiful Eva Rose. Really lovely to hear that things are a little better, hoping for good results this week xxxx

IDOC, glad you had a lovely family weekend

SOL, I felt exactly the same as you too. Didnt bond well with ds at all. He was unwell shortly after birth, and was a generally grumpy baby who was really hard work. Ended up with pnd which was the last straw really. Totally different with F! Have developed an incredible bond with her from day 1. I feel guilty about it, but at the same time I have a wonderful close relationship with ds now, and that is what really counts I think

Feeling a bit miserable at the moment. I didnt really think about it, but my friend reckons it is because I am slowly stopping bf F. Could be due to hormones I suppose, but I dont know! In a way I would be glad if it that, at least it would give me a reason for feeling a bit low!

mammyjo · 15/10/2007 11:52

Good luck Pesha!!

elkiedee · 15/10/2007 11:58

Good luck Pesha.

mj, sorry to hear you're feeling a bit low. Maybe it's phasing out bf, maybe it's that you have some sleep to catch up on, maybe it's stress. How is the one day a week at work going?

SharpMolarBear · 15/10/2007 12:06

Eek to no hot water. Hope its back soon SMB.

Elkie, work is fine actually, despite me really not wanting to go back. The one day just seems to fly by! Didnt work any last week though as my parents were away so doing two this week (I know its not exactly much is it?!!).

Just feeling a bit down, kind of like the baby blues post birth. Hoping it buggers off soon! Am sure the tiredness is def not helping either though, elkie I am sure you are right there.
