Hello everyone, been a few days, have not attemoted to keep up as so many posts.

DS is 6 now, he had a Halloween aprty on Saturday, it was fab! Had his parents evening tonight and am sooooo chuffed with what his teachers said, they said that he is doing well in the academic sense but that he really behaves himself and tries really hard which is all we asked for so everything else is a bonus

DD has been giving me a hard time lately, she is going through a phase of testing me and so it has been hard work with me pulling my hair out.

I'm doing a baby massage course at the mo with Leo and he is loving it. Do recommend it if you get the chance, not only does he get one on one time with Mummy, but Mummy gets to have a coffee without having to wipe a bum or reform a Transfomer or read a Charlie Lola book half way through - fab!

liath · 18/10/2007 07:09

I vote for the pink footmuff!

Gosh, I'd love a 2 million house budget in Edinburgh. DH has a cousin who's in finance, it really is a different world. He lent us his New York pad for a holiday once - a real taste of how the other half live !

Not much happening here, dd has a stinking cold and it was freezing overnight & I've just realised I forgot to bring my geraniums in - hope they survuved.

SharpMolarBear · 18/10/2007 07:33

Morning!

NorthernLurker · 18/10/2007 07:44

Pink is definately ahead.
Good luck with the Geraniums Liath - I always leave mine outside (too lazy to do otherwise) but the garden is v sheltered.

SharpMolarBear · 18/10/2007 08:45

MurderousMaveta · 18/10/2007 08:52

got arms full of wriggly baby so can´t type much just wanted to say hi!

NL I´d go for pink too btw..

geordiemacmummy · 18/10/2007 09:58

Morning!!

Another vote for pink here NL.

It was soooo frosty here this morning!!

I dont know whether anyone is interested but I have a code for Photobox that gives you 2 for 1 on all gifts, including mugs, mousemats and calenders. We are ordering 10 calenders with pictures of Charlie for the aunties and granparents (and great grandparents). I know its a bit cheesy but normally we all exchange boxes of biscuits and other such rubbish. Anyways, for 10 it was going to be about £125, but the 2 for 1 means its £65 which includes courier. I think is great. Its really easy to upload picures - and its always next day delivery!

Let me know if anyone is interested.

elkiedee · 18/10/2007 10:23

Thanks NL, in fact I finally found Aquatots classes too, which are run through Greenwich Leisure, an organisation which has taken over running a lot of London boroughs' Leisure Services. The advantage is that you can book online. I've booked Danny on to a course on Fridays in the middle of the day, it's a few miles away in Tower Hamlets but it should work out and the price is quite reasonable.

NL, I'd probably choose blue if it was me choosing but it's not, I think that you should choose the colour that you emotionally want, so go for pink!

That calendar idea sounds like a good one gmm, I might be interested into looking into it further, especially for dp's mum who isn't online or anything, unlike mine.

CaptainDippy · 18/10/2007 10:50

Morning - feeling a bit full of cold and tired here, but ok enough - cough is horrid, yuk. Not sure whethr DD2 has actually gone down for her nap or not

There are Grassroots assignments in my area, but the page isn't loading properly and I can accept any of them. Going to go and try and 'phone them ....

CaptainDippy · 18/10/2007 10:52

Sorted! Doing my 1st assignment today - hurrah!

geordiemacmummy · 18/10/2007 10:59

oooggs · 18/10/2007 11:24

mammyjo · 18/10/2007 11:41

Morning all. Oooggs, is having mil over a good thing or not?!! Mine would NOT be a welcome visitor!!

Maveta, glad your boss is ok. Good luck to her for the section next week.

CD, good luck for your first assignment! Hope it goes ok for you

GMM, I would be interested in the calendar thing. Fab idea for christmas pressies. My mum would love that!

See you all later xx

geordiemacmummy · 18/10/2007 12:19

Infact if anyone is going to place an order let me know and I can refer them, and I get some free pics too!

NorthernLurker · 18/10/2007 13:24

Hi
Had pretty successful morning - got foormuff - pink! Thanks for the votes. I just love it - it looks lovely but more to the point is v v cosy - good as it was freezing here today. Also went to TKMAXX and got next size up grobag so we're all set for winter now

Elkie - glad you got sorted with swimming - I loved the aquatots website.

CD - good luck with the assignment - sounds exciting!

nappynuttynormabutty · 18/10/2007 13:30

Ok forgot most of what I was going to say cos I caught up at 9am, then forgot to post .

Glad you got the footmuff NL. That reminds me I must get dh to attach ours, it looks a bit complicated for my simple brain!

LO is finally asleep . I've almost finished writing xmas cards and have started wrapping presents. ILs have decided they will be coming for xmas (I first asked about a year ago and they've ummmed and ahhhed about it since - they better hadn't change their minds now!). My parents will be staying here and ILs in a hotel so not too bad but have to figure out how we're all going to fit for xmas dinner!!!

NorthernLurker · 18/10/2007 13:58

Got the woman in the shop to fit mine It did look a bit fiddly

CaptainDippy · 18/10/2007 14:02

@ you andy our organisation for Christmas, NNNB! I haven't even given it a thought yet .....

Assignment done, now filling in the questionaire thingy - anyone else doing Grassroots finding their website painfully slow!!!!?

Dysoning to do and then buzzing into town to do a few bit, then picking up the girls, then off to NCT Quiz Night - madness!!!!!

SharpMolarBear · 18/10/2007 14:15

Hi everyone
Quick question - what do you consider reasonable for ebay at the moment? I won a couple of things a while ago and haven't received them yet - one was payment received on the 12th (was a cheque so strike will delay both ways) the other was Paypal, paid for on the 7th. Starting to feel it's been a while but maybe being unreasonable, what do you all think?

OP posts:
nappynuttynormabutty · 18/10/2007 14:21

Only organised cos I have to be - have to have my family's stuff sorted by mid-nov and dh's family's sorted by end of nov!

SMB - Can you email the sellers and find out when they were sent the items and if they know how much their area was affected by the strikes (e.g. Liverpool was v bad as they had unofficial strikes as well as official ones). If you had an idea of how long it was taking stuff to get through it might give you a better idea.

SharpMolarBear · 18/10/2007 14:33

yeah, I'll do that
One was my baby nest, the other was some crinkly books. Would be good if they arrived before he starts school

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 18/10/2007 14:53

SMB, I won something on ebay as well on the 9th and paid the same day by Paypal. I haven't received it yet either which is a pain. It was a rain cover for the car set which I could have done with on Tueday!!! I have emailed the ebay shop, but have heard nothing

SharpMolarBear · 18/10/2007 14:55

looks like it's not just me then. It's just usually I get stuff the next day almost! Suppose there is a backlog in the post office as well. Hope your rain cover turns up before the next rainy day!
