@BabyBird20 I found my LO did struggle at first and after 5 days no poop I bought some of the prune pouches. After one and a half over 3 days she eventually went.... I know find she has settled but only goes every 3 days compared to previously going every day and some times twice.
She doesn't seem in any discomfort and whilst now I can really tell when she's going, she doesn't seem to be straining particularly hard.

BabyBird20 · 22/12/2020 21:46

@Smiffette thank you, I'll try some of the prune pouches as he is definitely finding it difficult! I wonder if it might be the weetabix he loves for breakfast. He only has a half but it might block him up a bit. Hard to know! 😬😬

mrssunshinexxx · 23/12/2020 02:49

He's well cute @BabyBird20 !
Yes I would recommend it I got it second hand for £60 not sleepy head , the purflo version it's breathable and that's the one we had for first size I preferred the idea of the breathable mesh plus much much cheaper.
My LO is starting to struggle with her poo since the new born runny constant pop stopped she has only gone around every 10/11 days the GP was never concerned just said EBF babies can just take everything they need from the milk and have no waste now she's ok solids she is going once a week but it's a bit of a drama when she does I have to help her go but it isn't that hard at all when she does it looks soft I think it's more the feeling of what it feels like to push out a more solid pop and that feeling you get when you need to go it's very different to a wee

Hi all, I've posted periodically on here but not for a while. Dd was 6m on the 10th and have been BLW from a few days prior. Her bowel movements have gone mental, at one point she pooped 7 times in one day. Calmed down a bit now to an average of 3/4, but she used to only go once! Anyone else had this?
Also she's started pooping A lot every morning at 4am! Wtf is that about?

Also similar to someone down thread, we get a block of 4 hours followed by wake ups every 2 hours, it's killing me. She seems hungry each time she wakes so I feed her. How do you know whether to feed or not?

We had also transitioned into her own room, but I was bringing her back to my room after first wake up to feed then she'd spend rest of her night in next to me. But she's definitely outgrown it now (98th centile for height)

Mj2196 · 24/12/2020 19:20

@BabyBird20 poo has defiantly changed ,some days is usual runny somedays It’s hard and it falls out the nappy 🤣 can recommend the prune pouches lol. Has anyone found anything that works for rashes in the skin folds ? Babes got what I think is a sweat rash in most of his folds 😢

Merry Christmas to you ladies& babies from me and jj ! hope everyone can have some sort of normality x

Merry Christmas ladies!

The babies are looking so healthy and festive! I hope you all have a lovely day :)

It's constipation central here since we started solids. Small amounts coming through, but plenty left to come out!

UKtoSK · 26/12/2020 02:55

How was everyone’s Christmas Day? I thought Jia would still be too young to enjoy Christmas but she enjoyed opening presents more than I thought and loved all her new toys. The afternoon/evening was stressful with her refusing to nap and then waking up all evening but the morning was so much fun.

Christmas was lovely for us- isnt it so nice being able to live Christmas with a baby? I've always loved Christmas but to experience with our little one has made it feel extra special.

Has anyone felt the last couple of weeks to be a little tricky? Mine seems quite grumpy, he seems to whinge a lot. It's like he is frustrated he cant move / crawl and cant really play with things that well. I know hes in a developmental leap, due a growth spurt and could even be teething so none of that will be helping him. Just wondered if anyone has experienced similar or do I have a bit of a miserable baby on my hands!! Grin

Hope everyone had a lovely Xmas, we ended in A&E Christmas Eve as Freddie jerked his arm and wouldn't use it and wouldn't stop screaming. Everything ok though, funny how they stop crying as soon as you get in front of a doctor!
The babies look so cute in their festive gear, we had a very quiet day, had Buck's Fizz on the beach then just the three of us at home for the afternoon which made it feel a bit less Christmassy than normal.
Sorry to hear you've got a little grump @SRS1311 some days Freddie is the same but is usually to do with sleep or whether he's been out for a walk.
Hope your all keeping well in these terrible storms, Cornwall is getting battered!

mrssunshinexxx · 28/12/2020 00:40

Glad Freddie is ok ! @Cornishbumpkin that must of been very stressful.

Is anyone else considering number 2?
Does anyone know if I don't go back to work between another pregnancy would I qualify for any maternity pay 2nd time ? X

Smiffette · 28/12/2020 21:10

@Cornishbumpkin glad little Freddie is ok!

@mrssunshinexxx yes I'm planning on number two but want to be at work a 6-12 months before trying.
You would still get statutory maternity pay...depending on if you get occupational maternity pay in top from your employer you find that is less second time if the period they calculate that on falls during your current period of maternity leave.

Cornishbumpkin · 28/12/2020 21:51

Thanks ladies, was a very worrying morning but so glad he's ok.
Would love to be planning number 2 but don't want to have another baby during the pandemic as feel it's caused most of my mental health issues. Planning a big holiday in 2023 so will be trying after that. You trying for number 2 @mrssunshinexxx ?

mrssunshinexxx · 29/12/2020 08:01

@Cornishbumpkin I completely understand, personally I want a small gap and I think minimum by 10 months time things with covid will be better due to vaccine 🤞🤞

@Smiffette thanks for your reply, I've been trying to get my head around it but it says the below and impossible to work out as I'm not pregnant yet .. will be trying this cycle but it could take 1 month could take 12

We're onto 2d tooth cutting in over here she's been ok, a bit clingy but im taking full advantage of it.

@mrssunshinexxx yes we've discussed it, but it wont be till she starts nursery as we're in a 2bed apartment at the minute & plan on buying and moving in next 6month

UKtoSK · 31/12/2020 06:19

@Cornishbumpkin that must have been so frightening, glad he’s alright.

@mrssunshinexxx I can’t imagine anything worse than getting pregnant again right now 😂 I loved being pregnant but didn’t particularly enjoy it if that makes sense. Good luck! Actually we are not planning to ever have a second, but the in laws are already pressuring us about it 😒 never say never but 🤷🏼‍♀️

@SRS1311 we have exactly the same. First tooth nearly through but not quite. Sleep has gone haywire. Generally grumpy and whingey which is so out of character. It has slightly ruined the CHristmas period to be honest.
mrssunshinexxx · 31/12/2020 14:46

I guess everyone will feel very different on this subject @UKtoSK x

Zoey92 · 31/12/2020 21:19

Happy New year to all on the thread 😊

Cornishbumpkin · 31/12/2020 23:11

Happy new year ladies, you've made a tough year that much easier having you all on here! Thankyou Xx

Missgemini · 01/01/2021 00:48

Happy new year ladies!

A bit crazy, but we ended 2020 with LO starting to crawl yesterday (31st)! Not long distance. More like a few steps at a time! He's a completely different baby. Babbles and blows raspberries all day long!
I know many people hated 2020, but I have to say.... Best year ever because of my son!!!

Smiffette · 01/01/2021 11:22

That's great @Missgemini

Happy new year to you all!
2020 has been an amazing year having my baby girl, but I know it's not gone without it's challenges for many!

2021 can only get better

Busylizzie85 · 01/01/2021 13:02

Happy new year to everyone!
It's definitely been a hard year in many many ways but as others have said my little girl has made it so much better. Apart from this last couple of weeks as her teething is on another level with both her top teeth now slightly broken through, my god she is a grump 🤦🏻‍♀️😴😂

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope everyone had a nice first day of the year. I think we all did so well - Not in a million years could any of us guessed what would be in store for us when we got our positive tests at the end of 2019! Xx
