hello all!.....hope ya ok?

im fine..im now 22 weeks pg and feeling heavy!...im convinced this baby is gonna be bigger than my dd was - 9lb 1oz. (fingers cross its not!! )

Well dd is doing great and is loving her preschool....she wants to go 7 days a week!!

Went in for my 20 weeks scan, i wanted to find out what i was having but Dp didnt want to...couldnt tell as the cord was between its legs!! !!!....also the placenta is touching my cervix so gotta go back at 34 weeks to see if its had moved!! Also was in severe pain last week due to a loose pelvic joint on my bum! - i thought it was sciatica. Feeling much happier now as was putting up with it for over a month till i went to see my physiotherapist who was fab!...now ive gotta do exercises to tone up my back and my bum too.

Hello everyone!

I completed the 5 mile charity walk on sunday in about 1 hour and 20 mins! Me and dh raised almost £500 between us. We had a group of about 22 of us and most of them had a Toby t shirt on.
I have uploaded a pic of us before we started on my profile thing so you can all see me before serious sweating!!!! Yuk!!

Hope you are all doing ok

Biglips - I cant believe you are 22 weeks already, just shows how time flies.

Still hoping to go on holiday this year to finish the holiday we missed last year.

I cannot believe that it is coming up to a year since we lost Tobs x

My lime tree is doing well (well it is still alive!)

biglips · 14/05/2008 10:35

Hello all,

How is everyone?

Still need to get some pics on here of the kittens they are getting big now!

cazzybabs · 04/06/2008 19:49

Hi jbadgirl - had a nosey through your walk photos on facebook - glad it all went well.

biglips - is your dd excited?

grace is ok - she is such a monkey. she get completely over excited when people which is very embarrassing - she climbs on them, shouts, falls out with Isabelle..I am sure it is all for attention but god it is hard work.

They had there sports day races at school in between downpours on Tuesday - it was sooo funny. Grace stopped before the finishing line and so lost!

I have made her a clothkits dress (proud] with some help from my mum! she does look cute in it.

jbadgirl · 10/06/2008 16:48

Tobys stone has been fitted now, I have put a pic on my profile if anyone wants to see.

Glad its there now and everyone knows its for Toby x

Hope all are well,

cazzybabs · 12/06/2008 10:24

It is lovely, How are you doing? How is work? I still think often at Toby.

maisiemog · 12/06/2008 23:12

Hiiii! Jbad, I was just looking at your profile and Tobes, I still think of him too.
Well done on the walk and I'm glad you have the stone and something significant to visit.
Did you and your DH get any more feedback about what you could do if you want to have another baby? I think I remember you mentioned something about going to a geneticist.
I've been in most of the past week because Alf had a tummy thing, which required us to be near a loo. He didn't really eat much for three days, but is now picking up.
I was laughing about Gracie, she is such a character, I'm sure she would get on very well with Alfie - he is very excited by visitors as well. We have a sports thingy at the end of the month and Alfie will probably run the wrong way - he is daft as a brush and doesn't listen to much I say (don't blame him really)
My mum used to make me clothkits things as well, that is such a blast from the past! Have you got any piccies of your creation?
I have to make DP some cycling short type thingies - hope he keeps his tracksuit on over them. [screwed up in distaste face] and after making a few tops for Alfie, I might actually make ME something!!
A lot of those tunic tops look pretty simple to make, and I would rather they were a bit more 'tailored', they make me look like a heffalump - don't think smocks and big boobs really 'go'.
Does anyone else sew?

cazzybabs · 13/06/2008 17:51

I am not sure I can do anything more advanced than clothkis although I am tempted by their adult skirts. I am also trying to learn to knit - but I do keep dropping stiches. Everyone keeps expecting me to be knitting a jumper already - I m clearly a really rubbish knitter.

Big boobs are a PITA = tight tops and you all look all book, loose tops and you look fat. grghhhhh

Wonder how biglips is getting on?

oh dear the ddsa are playing schools and Grace may have to go and see the headmaster.

jbadgirl · 13/06/2008 21:19

Maisie - we have seen the genetisist and he said that if i fall pregnant then we have to ring and tell them so they can arrange dating scan. At 12 weeks they would do a cvs test which i think takes blood from the placenta or the fluid to test the genes for AGS. It would take a couple of weeks to get the results and then we could make a decision depending on them.
Its quite a loong time and I would be 14 weeks which is normally past the time when you tell people. Dh and i havent really discussed this yet as we are not really thinking about more kids just yet. We did say that we would wait about a year or so until we are ready. When we start to seriously think about trying for another we will talk in detail about all options.

I know it will be an uncertain time for 14 weeks and if we were to be told the news of it having the syndrome it would be devastating. Toby was a lovely boy and we wouldnt have changed anything, but we didnt know about the syndrome and going through it again knowing about would definately be very difficult.

We are so glad that we have each other especially as we are nearly up to the year anniversary, cannot believe it has been that long but still in our thoughts everyday.

Hope you are all well and enjoyed the in frequent hot weather!! x x

IslaAndMomma · 15/06/2008 08:30

hi all.... i havent been on here since DD was 1 ish so not sure if you will remember the name or not (was amazed i could remember login details!). its really lovely to see all the names again - had a quick scan through messages but will go back through properly in a bit...

i came on to post for advice on how to tell DD about her rabbit dying . has anyone else had to break the news about a family pet? sadly my gran also passed away on friday. we dont live near family so i dont have to say anything to her for a while about her gran - but she will be asking questions about her rabbit any minute.

something go tin our garden either thurs night or friday in the day. there wasnt a lot to find - and that means she cant help to bury him, etc or say goodbye.

i dont want to say he ran away or anything cos she will get upset looking for him and will not understand why he would run away - we only had him for a year but DD loved him loads and used to play together in garden...

any help greatly appreciated.

i will try not to be a stranger anymore

IslaAndMomma · 15/06/2008 09:03

jbadgirl - i was so sorry to hear about toby. i must say i think you are amazing . the stone is beautiful.

cazzybabs · 16/06/2008 09:55

I would be honest about th rabbit dying. Could you plant something to remember him by? There is also the Mog book about Mog dying.

cazzybabs · 16/06/2008 09:56

Oh and I am very sorry about your Granny. And hello again!

IslaAndMomma · 16/06/2008 20:12

thanks.

oh i hope i did the right thing in the end. we were in two minds what to tell her and when she asked i was on the spot a bit... i told her that he has got out of the garden. i sadi that he had been gone a few days and would have made lots of rabbit friends and was probably living somewhere like the country park near our home (fields and fields of tall grass, etc)... we explained that rabbit normally live places like that and run free and play with other rabbits... we told her how much he loved her and that it wasnt becasue of anything she had done.

she just accepted it. later the same day, i met a friend and she told him the we had lost our rabbit but he was happy wherever he was and had made rabbit friends - and that now she can get a new rabbit, a black one like her friend!!

she was looking for him tonight when she got home which was really sad to watch - but then she said "he is probably a long way away and cant hear me through the grass - can we get some fish"...

i havent said anything about gran - funeral on monday so will break the news at the weekend when we're at my mum's...

biglips · 20/06/2008 11:13

Isla - the problem with Rabbits that they only got a 2 seconds memory as once they run off..they cant remember how to get back home. Happened to my mums 2 dwarfs rabbits..one was a boy keeps on hopping off out of the run and the other was a girl who stays in and was a goody shoe but one day..both were gone, we still dont know where they gone.

Well im 28 weeks now and cant wait to have this baby as feeling heavy achy in my fanjo again. Cant wait to have my body back! and esp when i see friends now who had their babies.

The other day, me and tweenie were waiting for a bus at a bus stop for ages, suddenly tweenie said "Wheres that bleeding bus!!" ..(thats my Mother as she say "bleeding" alot when she is annoyed so will have to wait till she is back off her hols to tell her), and yesterday she said "OMG!" .....i heard her best friend saying that in Tweenies bedroom as she came to ours for the afternoon this week but tweenie was being a stroppy brat child . It was the first time she had a friend from her preschool to ours but would not share the toys......its a god-sent that i only live around the corner from the playgroup where they had fun for 1.5 hours.

Funeral went well... told Isla the day before at my mum's. She didnt (and still doesnt) really understand. She asks lots of questions still almost a month on.

We are getting fish for Isla (I thought she would like another rabiit or gineau pig). Got a tank and its all set up to get some!

Haha, also why do kids pick the most inappropriate place and time thought to say out loud something they heard you say weeks before... Isla told my mum the other day that my car is crap... and told DP that he is a lazy bugger

jbadgirl · 01/08/2008 19:14

Well guys its the first anniversary of Toby. Had an ok day really just spent some time reliving this time last year. Unfortunately we were stuck on a plane trying to get home hoping that the news we had earlier that day was some stupid joke. It didnt sink in really until we got home and saw him the next day. Some part of me didnt believe it until I saw with my own eyes.
Having a bbq tmrw with friends and family to remember him in true style with a few drinkys too!!
Have printed off loads of pics of him and us to stick around the fence for people to see and remember.
Although today has brought back many of the events last year we generally try to remember the happy times that we shared with Toby.

Please everyone cross their fingers for dry weather tomorrow down in Chichester where we are as I dont want the pics to smudge and try and fit a fair few people into our pretty untidy house!!!

Hope you are all ok x

Ps the lime tree is doing alright too, no limes yet though but no more leaves have fallen off!!

KathH · 02/08/2008 16:52

Jbadgirl - I dont get the chance to come on here a lot these days but I think of you & Toby. Glad you're trying to remember the happy times as he always came over as a really smiley little boy. Hope the weather's kind to you today - we're having a bbq as well so will raise a glass to you & Toby

biglips · 04/08/2008 12:12

isla - glad the funeral went well.

Jbad - 1 year... gosh hadnt it flown by?? Hope you had a lovely BBQ and lots of drinkies! . Have you been feeding the lime tree with plant foods?? as maybe thats why no limes.
