CONGRATULATIONS CAZZYBABS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AND CAZZY'S DH AND LITTLE EVELYN!!
WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ANOTHER LITTLE GIRL - CAN'T HAVE TOO MANY GIRLS YOU KNOW!!
I was about to go to bed and checked over on the due December thread.
I hope the girls had a lovely time, splashing around in the birthing pool

MerryBiglipsmas · 16/12/2007 10:48

Many congrats to Cazzybabs xxxxxxx

Maisie - About ALfie and porridge...if that didnt surprised you then it was him being naughty!.....you just have to give him a warning or naughty chair/step/whatever or however you discipline him. good luck

My darling DD is wearing me down abit as she starting the ignoring bit too. Ive invented the naughty chair as i used to put her in the bedroom but theres too many toys in there so naughty chair from now on and seems to works well. Ill count to 3 (as ive always had done) and most of the time i only get to 2.

DD had been really naughty lately as in the shop she kepts on running off all the time so i warned her and she did it again twice after that. i came home and put her straight to bed. She did it again yesterday and i put her to bed for bed as its was late at night.

But she had been knackered lately everytime i pick her up from school but she wont go asleep in her bedroom.

Oh and weve bought a massager seat to go over the swivel chair last sunday worth £150.00......by Friday it was broke!! DD had been playing on the swivel chair and snapped the wire!...i do hope it will be fixed!

So girls....this is what ive invented this week - REINS AND NAUGHTY CHAIR

maisiemog · 16/12/2007 13:28

Tell me about it Biglips! Do you think they get worse when they start nursery? I think Alfie is going to be soooo tired, he might be a bit of a zombie baby.
At the moment he has good days and bad days - the bad days are when he jumps and jumps and jumps and.... and doesn't seem to hear anything I say. I find it really difficult to communicate with him: he doesn't answer anything I ask him about.
Then he has days of being just as lovely as always.
It seems quite difficult to find information on developmental stages for three year olds, so I am finding it difficult to establish whether this is developmental. It's like it's his hormones.

KathH · 16/12/2007 21:13

Masiemog - Alfie sounds so like Moley. Some days he can be the most gorgeous lovely little boy and then some days he's just a monster. I seem to remember from dd1, dd2 and ds1 that this is perfectly normal . Mind you compared to dd1 who's almost 15 he's an absolute angel!

KathH · 16/12/2007 21:17

gosh, I'm so dim - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cazzybabs

geogteach · 19/12/2007 13:08

Congratulations Cazzy! See i'm late as ever.
think all these 3 year olds are high as kites, we're stuck in today as DS1 is ill, geog is being a devil, first thing he said today was whose house are we going to? He has finally dropped his nap, knew that was too good to last!

maisiemog · 20/12/2007 23:50

I knoooow, they are just wheeeeeeeeeee!
I had Alfie over at ELC today where he was crashed into by a bigger boy in a pedal car, who shouted 'that's mine' and tried to grab a plastic cooking implement from Alfie (who looked confused). I can't wait to see the scraps when he starts nursery.
That was good going for Lgeog to have a nap. I had to drop Alf's about a year ago, or put up with him until about 11pm - not happening.

geogteach · 21/12/2007 20:24

Are any of these tots turning into comedians? Geog cracks me up, yesterday we were shopping and his trousers were falling down (a common occurance), he shouts ' my trousers are falling down', I pull them up, he says ' phew, that was close', where did he hear that? He has also started telling jokes, that he has heard from DS1, but geog has all the comic turning that his brother just doesn't.
Today we went to the panto, I think geog ate more maltezers than he has had so far in his life, just to keep him still.
happy christmas everyone, hope they all get what they want from santa

maisiemog · 21/12/2007 22:53

He sounds like quite a little character.
Where do they get this stuff from! I don't know where Alfie learns his swear words either . He was looking out of the window the other day and he said to DP 'Look Daddy, at the bloody building site!'
DP didn't want to draw attention to the word, so he just kind of swiftly, moved on to another topic.
That'll be what he says on his first day at nursery. 'Look at all the bloody toys Mummy''
He tells me I am a 'Little red riding hood' and tells DP that I was a 'smellybum'. Hmmm!
That trousers falling thing - we have that a lot. It was worse when Alfie was smaller, but even now, I won't buy anything that doesn't have an adjustable waist, otherwise Alfie spend the day hoisting up his breeks. The worst time is when he is on cheeky bicycle, his bum totally hangs out, and I have to hurriedly cover him up.
What's the weather like where everyone is?
We have had horrid haw-frost on the pavements: nasty, slippery frost, and it's been sooo cold! Today was cloudy and a bit wet and I was really pleased. Tonight there was tiny snow - I must look outside and see what's happening now.
What presents are you getting for the small people?

KathH · 23/12/2007 20:25

Moley has a garage, a bob the builder scooter and a thomas laptop and then other crap lovely presents like dvds etc. He's very very excited. DH went upstairs and rang the house phone from his mobile and prentended to be Santa. What's everyone doing at Christmas? For the first time in 4 yrs DH has Christmas Day off - he realised the other day he's never seen Moley open his presents. I've got the 6 of us, my mum, my sister, brother in law and nephew coming for the day. Have been doing loads of cleaning. DH has no idea about these things. He came into the hallway today while I was hoovering and said but I dont understand why we have to have clean stairs for Christmas Day

cazzybabs · 25/12/2007 23:30

Soory - kept meaning to post and didn't...yes another girl . She has slept all day, so may not sleep tonight. dd2 is very taken with her and keeps kissing and hugging her, although I ended up in hosiptal for a week and that reallt unsettled her and she needed lots of cuddles when I came out and keeps waking up in the night. She still a bit difficult when it comes to bedtime.

Here are some photos:
www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=23048&id=529306696

Anyway - we have all had a good Xmas. Grace was very into to it and came down at 3am to tell us that Santa had been with her presents. She got a dolly from us and spent a long time cuddling it. We then went to church where Grace sang away in a manger very loudly and out of tune. Then came home and ate a large lunch - my mum cooked it - we had 23 for lunch! Anway I am full and tired!

maisiemog · 01/01/2008 12:50

Hope you aren't too tired Cazzy, and had a good Chrissie with your extra 'present'.
I couldn't see the piccies on Facebook, so I added you as a friend - don't know if that will work, because I have been on Facebook about three times since signing up.
We have had a really busy time, driving between family gatherings, shopping in the sales AND trying to find a mouse!!
We got back quite late on Wednesday night last week and there was a scratching under the bed, it was really freaking me out, but we couldn't find anything when we pulled up the mattress. Mind you we have a jungle of storage boxes, so it probably jumped in one of them?
Alfie was too tired to stay awake any longer so we had to put up with it for the whole night. Horrible!
Since then we have been pulling the flat apart to find it or its nest! No real signs since last Thursday, so hopefully it has headed back to the mousy hills.
Too many toys now, so thinking it's time for a clearout and a trip to the local Oxfam.
Hope everyone had a good holiday.
Jbad? How are you are your DP? What have you two been up to this Christmas?

KathH · 01/01/2008 21:20

Masiemog - we found a mouse in our office at work a few weeks ago - it had left quite a few little presents on my desk.

Moley has obviously overdosed on the Muppet Christmas Carol as he thinks he's Mr Scrooge and keeps going round saying "Bah humbug"

Jbadgirl - have thought a lot about you & Toby over Christmas.

HappyBiglipsYear · 01/01/2008 23:42

im just going to bed

Happy New Year everyone and thinking of Toby xx

cazzybabs · 02/01/2008 00:05

happy new yeat to you all. I also thought of you jbadgirl and toby.

grace thinks she is father christmas and keeps walking round the house saying ho ho ho i am father christmas.

maisiemog · 02/01/2008 00:41

Yay! I finally saw the piccies of Evelyn. She's lovely, lovely lovely! I'm so jeallous! Apart from the no sleep thing. Hope you are feeling OK Cazzy, don't overdo it! Lovely maternity leave though, stretching out in front of you. Nice walks with the baby and pram in the snow! On Thursday or Friday, according to the weather forecast.
Managed to start an online album, after being harangued by my relatives about the lack of piccies of Alf. So here are some reasonably up to date photos picasaweb.google.com/maisiemog
Still no sign of our camera, so I can't upload any of the Christmas stuff, which would be bang up to date. Oh well!
Still no sign of the mouse, ominous silence.
Yes and we had mouse prezzies too! How festive!
Alfie is singing 'Jingle bells baby, Jingle bells baby, Jingle bells all the way baby' not sure why??
He saw a trailer for that baby born 'reborn' thing - it's on Wednesday, must watch it looks very strange. He was a bit upset though, when they put the baby born in the oven to make it look more like a real baby.

jbadgirl · 04/01/2008 18:51

Hi All, we spent christmas round dh's mums house and went out for lunch in the local pub. Very hard day for all of us really but most of we found it hard to watch my nephew opening his pressies. Couldnt stop wondering what it would have been like with Toby still here and missed him so much.

Had a funeral to go to today of Tobys friend who died just before xmas. He was a month older and had problems too. The day was very hard and brought all those memories back of Tobys funeral.

Still seeing the councillor who is still helping me.

I am starting an nvq 4 in childcare on 10th Jan so I can eventually gain early years practitioner status (to improve quality of childcare) its exciting but daunting as I havent done "work" for about 9 years!!!
I am going to make sure that I do my assignments earlier than the night before they have to be handed in!!! oops!

We are also going to be doing the London to Brighton bike ride this year in memory of Toby and raising money for British heart foundation (which you have to) and probably some for the Snowdrop Trust who have helped us so much through Tobys life.

Now xmas is out the way (which im very glad about) I am going to finally sort out Tobys ashes. We are going to have them buried in the local churchyard which is 5 min walk away. Not that we are particularly religious but its close by and he can be watched over (by the cows in the field next door)!!!! The churchyard has the sun shining on it all day (if its out lol) which is a lovely idea for Tobys final resting place. We just need to decide what to have on the stone.

My lime tree is still going strong, not that I have tried cooking with any of the leaves yet but one day maybe......

I hope that everyone had a lovely Christmas and all the not so little ones anymore got all they wished for x

Biglips · 05/01/2008 12:18

jbad - aww....that be a lovely place to bury Tobys ashes as its not far from your doorstep, and i bet you are glad that the Xmas is out of the way as you got the worse out of the way. You are so brave!!..

And also the chilcare course will give you to concentrate on

And also that is soo lovely that you two are very involved with the Heart Society. Let me know where can i put some money towards it please!!

Good luck to all the little ones starting pre school this week.
Geog is back on tuesday and can't wait (neither can I), not sure what they'll make of his new dinosaurs meet robin hood game though which involves shooting his toy dinosaurs with a bow and arrow.

Biglips · 06/01/2008 22:25

oh yeah!!!

forgot about the others starting preschool this month - good luck all!!

My DD had been asking me when is her preschool is open and her face was like this when i told her its the Xmas hols. She is back tmrw and had been telling her Nin (my mum) that she is back tmrw with excitement!!!

She had been excellent over the hols BUT i cant wait till she goes back tmrw so i can have some peace

i saw my Nin (DD's great-ninny) on Boxing Day at my mums and she said that she doesnt know how i cope wiv DD as she is like a rocket all day (full of energy and never sits down!!!) i just said that i was used to it!

CAZZY - i cant see the photos of your DD3!! .......waaaaiiillllllll!!!!!!

maisiemog · 08/01/2008 11:07

Biglips, I applied to be Cazzy's facebook friend and she did a magic spell, so I can see the photos now.
Alfie has his first day (with me) on Monday, it's only for an hour, to put my fears at ease. I'm OK now, but I know I will be nervous handing over Alfie's welfare to (qualified) strangers. He is looking forward to it.
Jbad, that studying sounds an excellent idea - I bet you get top marks! I can see you sitting there at 3am trying to finish your assignment.
The local churchyard sounds really nice. I go through one of our local cemeteries pretty frequently and I'm not religious, but it doesn't really matter. I think you bring your own beliefs, and experiences to the place. I'm glad he will be near the cows, he will like that.
Let me know how to sponsor you? Are you super-fit now?
Hi Geog! How is littlegeog?
I'm still finding Alfie is a little bit of a Jekyll and Hyde and can just flip over into 'hitting mummy with a stick' boy from being perfectly happy.

jbadgirl · 11/01/2008 20:55

Spoke to the vicar today and we are going to see the stone mason tomorrow. All is getting sorted now. I think it will take a little while but at least we got the ball rolling.

No im not super fit or just fit yet. I have been going to the gym a few times but need to get into it more. I spose i have been easing myself in gently!!! Or thats my excuse.

I will let you know when and if I get into the london to brighton and if you want to sponsor me we can sort something out x

maisiemog · 12/01/2008 12:00

Jbad, tell me about it! It is hard to get going when the weather is so poo!
I like walking, but it has been pretty wet for the past week. I do have an exercise bike, but I think it's faulty . No I must drag it out and have a pedal. DP complains because it's quite noisy and he can't hear the TV.
I have put up our Christmas photos, but I can't remember the link, it's the same as the last link, but is called Alfie Christmas or something.
My poor old dad fell over today and is going to the A&E to make sure his ribs are OK. There is quite a hoar frost on the pavement today, and he slipped on the front path.
Well, we are about to brave the elements and go for a walk - it makes me cough because the air is so cold. Might be getting my first cold of the Winter, but trying to do a salt water gargle to see if it stops it. Fingers crossed.
How is everyone getting on??
We take Alfie to his introduction thing on Tuesday at 1pm, just for an hour at the nursery (accompanied).

cazzybabs · 14/01/2008 19:48

Grace has started at her new nursery too - she loves...especially because she has a unifotm and book bag like her big sister. They have mentiomnned her speech and are asking us to get a SALT to come and look at hrt . Poor old grace - no hair, wide feet that no shoes she likes fit and poor speech!

still - she does love "her" Evie still....

maisiemog · 16/01/2008 18:45

Well, that's day two for Alfie. He loves it, which was what I expected. He has spent the past three months telling me to 'sit on the floor Mummy and play with the fire engine' and suchlike stuff.
Yesterday we went along at 1pm and I filled out some forms, then they asked me to go away for half and hour, to see how he coped. So I told him 'I'm just going to the shops. I won't be long' and he said 'I'll just stay here'. So that was that.
He had a massive tantrum because he didn't want to go with me, when I came back. Mind you, I would have given him a bit more warning, but the nursery assistant seems a bit hurried, nice, but hurried.
Today, I took Alfie and she practically chucked-me out. 'Bye!' as the door slammed in my face, so they obviously think he can start for the full session immediately.
The nusery teacher seems a lot more laid-back, so I will have a chat with her on Friday, to see if she is happy with him etc...
I have managed to negotiate 4 days, with a Thursday off, because I work Sunday, it means I would only have Saturday as a full day with him. So he's off tomorrow, which is just as well, because I felt a bit emotional this afternoon when I went to pick him up. I didn't say anything, but I just felt a bit thing.
Cazzy, how are you getting on with Evie? Are you tired-out?
Do you think Grace needs a salt? Why do you think they are recommending one?
She is beautiful anyway, with her lovely wispy hair, and I've got wide feet too, it's a sign of good health. She is a smart little cookie, and has pretty much been first to hit all the milestones out of our lot, so I'm sure she is just fine.
