Agree Chloe you look great

MRM for washing machine, but yay for new one and freecycle peeps taking the old one away

Jas for dh and you arguing.....men never take critiques well though do they?

Mmm chance of thunder and hail said the radio just now, and my washing is in the garden again

Kel for your new fella! oooh how exciting, my poor dh is still recovering from double whammy of the snip followed by a stinking cold, he's not quite right at the mo bless.

CSWS ta for the cheese scone, was yummy hope the teeth aren't too bad today?
I'm a naughty mummy and have put dd2 into nursery today as of next week, they'll be on flexi fridays as well, as we should be getting the shop opened by the end of next week, argh! ordered all shop fittings yesterday, will be delivered next monday, should be fitted by wed, which gives us Thur and some of friday to stock it, then open Saturday at latest
and on that note, hello to everyone else, sorry have only skimmed the thread, but think I got the main gist, Phoenix, sorry but not time to look at photos today! gotta get accoutns and vat return in, boooooo

Flame, hope the self assesement thing went ok? {{Hugs}}

Ohhh and off loaded my loft contents to my Auntie last night for cousin to pick through! everything upto 1 year old gone

Chloe55 · 25/09/2007 15:37

Oh, just in case you were interested, I'm not pg this month either. Thought I had better check as joining up at the gym for a full year tomorrow (works out cheaper) but needed to make sure it wouldn't be a waste of time first. I'm on day 31 this month and no period or period symptoms yet so God only knows what my cycle is

Very excited for you and your shop Friz - we'll have to bob over one day and buy something!

mustrunmore · 25/09/2007 16:24

Now the hob is knackered What will the third disaster be?!

Flamesparrow · 25/09/2007 16:35

Tis p*ssin down on my washing - will that do for your third? (Or is that rubbing it in that I have clean clothes? )

@ gym membership.

Yay for shop Friz! Had you had the idea floating about for a while before you told us, or do you just make decisions like this and jump straight in?!!?

DS had his pneumovax today, and we got to see the reeeeeeeeeally nice HV/Nurse (dunno what she is) - she was really surprised that I wasn't still b/feeding (think I shattered all her lentil weaving illusions), but was so nice about me and the jabs delaying - she actually went to cross out the MMR section on his book saying that I didn't need it left there as I wasn't doing it No arguing with me or trying to tell me that I was a terrible mother. I explained that he will have it, when I am ready, and she was fine, told me to just call and book it when I wanted. She heard my radio ad too I miss that being played

DS is being loooooooooovely today. Well, so is DD really - she gave me a cuddle just now to take all my bad feelings away (I said "arse" on seeing the washing - hence my bad feelings )

mustrunmore · 25/09/2007 16:43

Well, I'll have clean clothes on Saturday And nappies Anyway, never mind your washing, we've just got drenched coming home! And the boys were only in their little indian shirts that my friend brought them back!

Jas · 25/09/2007 20:26

Will you count my non-working heating as the third breakdown?

We didn't get rained on It bucketed down at 3 as always, but I picked them all up at 4 today.

I'm very impressed at the speed of the shop opening, too.

nobhead dp just about sums things up here Chloe I daren't say anything as I will have to get my post deleted, but he came home early and is being very nice to me tonight, so a few home truths may have helped.

mustrunmore · 25/09/2007 20:53

Ooo, tell me! email me! I love a bit of gossip I'll try and think of some in exchange! I' sure you didnt say any worse than what I say/how I treat dh all the time

Argghh! Why id it that as soon as we more or less sort ds1's bedtime out, ds2 now decides he doesnt like the whole concept of going in his cot?

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/09/2007 21:01

Yes does all sound scarily quick Frizbe - good luck though.

Talking of putting dd into nursery, does anyone know anything about the funding of nursery/pre-school places at 3 (or whenever it is). Am looking at a Montessori nursery associated with a school that we are considering, but have no idea whether we have to fund it all, or whether the govmnt pays a bit. Don't know whether their funding of places is for any school, or only selected state ones.

Chloe - me neither this month, but no awol period here - was here exactly when expected. Good luck to us both for next month.

In what way exactly is the hob knackered? Can't remember if you have gas one or electric? Are you just mentioning Indian shirts to rub in how crap dh is for not getting any when he went there?

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/09/2007 21:02

Don't you dare email her without emailing me as well!!!

mustrunmore · 25/09/2007 21:07

You get 12.5 hrs a week at aged 3. If its a private nursery rather than a school one, you just have some paperwork to do.

Yes I am , Mrcsws

Hob is gas, but its the electric starter switch thats knackered. Hence we have to keep it off at the mains(else its permanently trying to light!), which is right behind a fitted unit

mustrunmore · 25/09/2007 21:08

Oh, and we cant just replace the starter, because its a sealed unit, of course

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/09/2007 21:14

What so they'll pay the proportion of the fees that covers 12.5 hours, regardless of how expensive the nursery is? I hadn't expected that - thought maybe there would be a fixed contribution if anything! Fab.

That's a bugger that it's trying to light permanently. Can you break it so that it doesn't try to light at all, and then just light it with a match?

mustrunmore · 25/09/2007 21:29

Well, we're going to have to light it with a match. But its a right hassle. I hate gas a t the best of times. Think I'll be steaming and roasting more! Its biannual skip day on Thursday though, so I'm keepimg fingers crossed that someone's lobbed in a hob, when I go and take our dead hoover(Dad gave it us to fix, but we couldn't)!!!!

I think you can have a your 12.5 wherever, sa long as they accept nursery vouchers, but dont quote me on it!

damewashalot · 25/09/2007 21:39

Hello!
you get 5 2-75 sessions at £6 ish last time I did preschool accounts not at whatever they cost so would have to top up, sorry!

Just passing through on my way to early night, will catch up when I get chance.

damewashalot · 25/09/2007 21:40

that was 2.75hr sessions @£6ish each

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/09/2007 21:52

Ah, thanks dame. That sounds more realistic. Think the prices I've got are per term, so I'll have to work out a comparison.

Your skip days come around quick mrm!

mustrunmore · 25/09/2007 21:53

Ah, ok. But it def doesnt have to be split into 5 lots of 2.75hrs. I could've claimed funding for the nursery ds1 was in before his 'proper' one if he'd stayed there instead, and that would've been 2 mornings totalling 12.5 hours.

mustrunmore · 25/09/2007 21:56

Dont they just! Gutted that I missed a double buggy the other day; wqsnt sure if someone had just left it while they opened their door or something; then saw the truck come round, realised it was skip day (up by nursery, not here), buggy had gone. Oh well!

Phoenix · 25/09/2007 23:15

Hi,

Not a clue about nursery funding

If you're sending out emails Jas i'll have one too

for broken hob mrm.

for no pregnancies. My period seems to have disappeared again after 3 months in a row of having one. Damn pcos.

I'm so pissed off with work, my arsehole employers/union have called 2 48 hour strikes for 5th-6th and 8th-9th Oct so basically it's a 4 day strike as its fri, sat, mon, tue. We've been told today it's unlikely that any talks will solve anything before these next strikes. Aaaaarrrggghhh.

Flamesparrow · 25/09/2007 23:40

me too me too (emails)

OP posts:
Jas · 26/09/2007 06:47

NO EMAILS

I told him I want to sell up and leave him as I am sick of broken promises and being let down.
I agreed ages ago to give him til Christmas to get thisplace habitable, and he's going so slow it just isn't hppening.

He looked like a kicked puppy and has been VERY nice since. No work as had dd2s friends hre fo her birthday yesterday though.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/09/2007 08:29

for more strikes.

Is his remorse likely to last long enough to get the job done Jas?

Chloe55 · 26/09/2007 08:45

When should we be applying for nursery funded places? So could I put ds into nursery 3 days a week and get 12.5hrs funded then? I always thought it was 2.75 hrs a day and you couldn't group them but glad to hear that's not correct!

Bloody dh has put some crappy spyware on this system and messed the whole thing up. The text is massive and it keeps shutting down on me - why can't men just bloody leave things alone?!!

Glad dh is sorting himself out Jas.

Yes, fingers crossed for next month CSWS

Frizbe · 26/09/2007 09:53

Chloe/CSWS yep, you can group the nursery places, so long as the place your using agree to it, example is my friend uses her's for monday 2 x sessions, wed 1 x session, friday 2 x sessions, think she pays for lunch on the 2 sessions together though. I use mine mon - fri mine at 8.45-11.45 as we're on a gov trial here in derbyshire for 3 hrs funded a day (wooo hooo, hope you all get it soon.)

Chloe, yep come on over in fact I should make it mandatory for you all to visit Shop is going fast, but needs to, the first lot of rent goes out on the 1st, so we're loosing money if we haven't got people coming in through the door gibber........Flame, this is the stuff dh has been ebaying for the last 3 years! but we just saw the shop and decided, stuff it, lets go for it.....if it doesn't work, at least we tried (and I have space in my loft and house again )

Jas, well I hope dh keeps his side of the bargin now then, I think sometimes men do need a reminder or two.......

MRM for your hob, blasted thing, you're welcome to mine when we take it out eventually, as when our oven packed up (anyone remember) I replaced it with a stainless one, but the hob is still white, so will need doing sometime, but I'm afraid not just yet......

Dh just called his exhaust fell off on the way to work this am is that the three for you all? or is that four?

Hi to everyone else, swimming here today ohhh and dd2 loved her extra nursery day yesterday so all good!

Frizbe · 26/09/2007 09:54

Oh Chloe no need to apply yet, at our place you let them know the term before you want to start the funded places (they have to be 3)
