No csws, i went back to work yesterday. So just 2 days back have stressed me no end

CountessPHOENIXula · 11/10/2007 20:54

Is it a bit weird that at nearly 9pm someone's knocking on our door collecting for deaf children?

UniSarah · 11/10/2007 20:54

Thank you. sorry bout teh spelling CSWS, V dyslexic, you'll get used to me :-)

for thoose who don't know- which is most of you. Boy is a running, chattering, shouting throwing sort of lttle chap, current obsessions- doors, tractors, cricket. We live in Devon with dh and a collection of unicycles and bikes. I run a bit , cycle withg a kiddie trailer a lot and am a mainly SAHM but do some work, lighting concerts etc when teh right project comes my way.

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2007 20:58

Ooh where in Devon US? I went to uni down there.

Flamesparrow · 11/10/2007 20:58

Ooh sounds good! My sister does theatre lighting, she did freelancing with pyros at one point but that stopped for some reason DS is a running, climbing, climbing, climbing, falling kind of boy, very much liking balls (he opts for rugby shaped over round now), licking puddles, drawing on walls ....

Yup, asperger's syndrome, but no, not watching (and have absolutely no idea what it is... apart from CSI I tend not to watch proper tv much lately).

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2007 21:00

You still watch X-Factor!
There's another series of America's Next Top Model running at the moment too you know - you really should watch it.

Flamesparrow · 11/10/2007 21:01

Forgot X Factor Not on this week

OP posts:
Frizombie · 11/10/2007 22:08

makes mental note to spell check self more often can't go upsetting CSWS now

Ello Uni, March thread is rather dead at the mo innit! spend lots of time talking to myself on it

Phoenix {{{hugs}}} re the work load, got loads of deliveries today from dhl at home, seems people have swapped to them instead of the post office......you'd better watch it, deutchse post would love to see Royal Mail go under

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2007 22:17

Cause that's going to help her feel less stressed isn't it Friz .

Frizombie · 11/10/2007 22:29

Ah but DHL would employ Phoenix and probably pay her more money

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2007 22:31
Grin
Frizombie · 11/10/2007 22:33

(yells)abandon the sinking ship Phoenix!

Jas · 12/10/2007 08:34

Welcome Sarah. I've lurked on your thread from time to time, as ds is a late Feb boy and I did think he'd be March at the end.

I suspect Phoenix's problem is the other people at work. It always was for me, anyway.
Feel free to come and moa a bit, though.

I'm still sick. Very, very sick I stayed up to watch tv (Graham Norton, but yes I did watch the Stephen Fry one too) and threw up 1/2 way through it.

I have to go out today, as I have errands that just cant be left any longer, so I'm going to drive into town (something Inever do normally). DS is goin to a first birthday party this pm, and as it will be mostly friends there, they will have him without me, so at least he's not missing out totally. He's going a bit mad due to lack of activity.

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/10/2007 08:49

for being sick.

mustrunmore · 12/10/2007 09:00

I assume it wasnt athe appreance of his ancestors that brought on the vomiting? Seriously, poor you. That bout I had last week was the worst in thw world. Very exorcist.

UniSarah; I cant type to save my life. Too busy trying to get it all out of my head quickly!

I didnt know that's where you went to uni csws!

Phoenix; sorry for such a dull question, but... if I get paid for some stuff on Sunday, when the best day to post the parcel, to avooid in getting lost in the abyss?(I do love you for being fab too, not just for being a postie!)

Think I can see a ds2 tooth; but it also looks just like an ulcer at the moment

Friz, dh is off to give in his second sample at the hopstial today; this one should give him the all clear! Hurray! Then we just need to find the time and the energy to have sex

And as dh is off today, I'm going to take a while to myself and rearrange my bits and bobs in the bedroom! I want to rearrange what's in what box etc, as more needs to get hidden away... I'm not looking so minimalist now. A friend saw our neighbour's house for the first time (which is the same as ours but mirror image) and commented how tidy her bedrooms were. Which implies that mines a shitheap Er, honest opininon please csws? Not that it matters; I'm not a very houseproud person, but I'm curious!

CountessPHOENIXula · 12/10/2007 09:36

Just been on my online banking to see how much wage i've got for last week, £67.07 very depressed now

My day is only gonna get worse too. They told us at work yesterday that there'll be no collections until around 4pm today cos all collection staff will come in as normal but be working for deliveries. So its good in a way cos it will clear a lot of the backlog from the strike but it means when we do start collections we'll get a full days mail from every box and post office which will be a lot

TBH mrm i just don't know. I don't think there will be a right time as there's a big backlog from the last lot of strikes and the next week ones are staggered i think so collections/deliveries are off 1 day, sorting are off another day etc. so just post em when you can and keep your fingers crossed they get there quickly.

CountessPHOENIXula · 12/10/2007 10:53

Have you all abandoned me cos i'm moaning?

Jas · 12/10/2007 11:46

Not yet

I managed to drag myself to the bank. I need ds to sleep so I can spend 10 minutes clearing up the worst of the mess downstairs, and then lie down.

DD1 got ds up and took him downstairs and sorted reskfast this morning, so I stayed in bed til 7.30 Apart from the 5 am wakeup for milk for ds

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/10/2007 12:51

Awww, bless her Jas.

Phoenix. Does it seem internally like the strikes are actually going to get you anywhere? Is there the option for you still to work when others are striking? My childminder's postie was still working the other day when the rest were all on strike.

mrm - from what I recall, the boys bedroom is a bit of a mess, but only in the way that you'd expect the bedroom of 2 young boys to be a mess IYSWIM. The rest looked fine.

Flamesparrow · 12/10/2007 15:29

What happened to the witchy spells?

for sickness and strikes.

I'm snotty

Oh dear; the boys' room is usually tidied before people come

Jas · 12/10/2007 19:35

It was very tidy when I came Did you see my kids room though. It s an embarrasment, even after I've tidied it up.
I only glanced in your room but don't remember thinking it was messy, so it is probably alot better than mine.

I'm starting to feel almost human. I've eaten crackers and water all day. I may be really daring and have an apple.

mustrunmore · 12/10/2007 19:47

Dont risk the apple!!! Not when you'e feeling better.
I got your pirate ship out of the loft. I lied; its not in 20 million pieces, only about 5 million Actually, the hull is made up, so you have to do railing bits, the masts/rigging etc, stickers on it, and the whole of the castle backdrop(assume thats all in sep bits, as the packet for that is sealed so I cant see it all specifically).I have a feeling the instructions make it look more complex than it is!
Forgot to ask though; do yo want the purple mossie net thing this visit?
