Flame, I remember finding out loads about my Gran at the Crem too seems to be a theme! {{{Hugs}}} for today anyway, hope your feeling better after a good blub {{{hugs}}}}

Jas, thanks for that, I can't believe I billed it as a day off I've spent most of it on the chuffing phone to various distributors, along with attempting to entertain the dd's also managed to do the ironing (the stuff that I couldn't get away with not doing)
I got told off at swimming with dd2, as was 10 mins late, (along with another 2 mums!) so we held up the class I would have been ontime, but got there, got dd2 out of buggy, then realised my swimsuit wasn't in the bag, so had to leg it home again, find suit on floor by door fallen out of bag, and leg it back again
Oh and the friggin shop fit company just get better and better at messing my life up, will explain more tomorrow, as you must all be sick of me whinging!!

Can anyone give me ideas for what to get dd1 for her 4th birthday, she has a bike and playhouse already!

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/10/2007 22:08

Anyone wanna come stay for a couple of days in half term week? DH leaves for Peru on the Wedns, so will be all on my own from then, and happy to have company.

Flamesparrow · 10/10/2007 22:19

Aww, as nice as that sounds I can't Ashes are being placed with my Gran in Wales sometime soon and I want to be able to go (didn't for my gran) - can't stretch to several trips

(I did snigger a little bit at the swimming costume saga - reminded me of when I went with Psycho when her DS2 and DD were toddlers... got them changed, went to get me changed - and pulled out a black lycra vest top instead of my cossie Luckily the swimming pool has a shop that sells costumes!!!)

OP posts:
Frizombie · 10/10/2007 22:49

maybe I should have brought one too thinking about it mind you they only had horrible ones on the racking, so rather glad I legged it home

CSWS would love to come and stay, but think I'd better stay and run the shop after all this effort

Jas · 11/10/2007 07:30

csws- dolls pram
I may be up for a visit durng half term one day. Not sure what we are doing yet.

Parentsevening sounds positive, Flame, but did the tescher not already know about the AS concerns?
Funerals seem to be a place for findng out all kinds of things about people. I remember loads of stuff I didn't know about my grandad that I heard for the first time at the church.

Frizbe - Scooter? Polly Pocket set? Ummm...

DD2 was up being sick in the night so all plans for today are cancelled. I don't feel too bad at the moment (Went to bed at 9)

Flamesparrow · 11/10/2007 07:45

I seem to have the cold back again DD has a horrible cough, DS's eyes are all pink

Yup, the teacher knew about the AS but only in passing (2 seconds one morning to tell her not to change her book without notice), we had a proper talk last nigth.

Got to do oodles of work today, find my lounge this morning, and then I have DD's friend for the afternoon which I could reeeeeeeeeeeeally do without. It'd be better if I had somewhere to take them, but Thursdays are always nothing to do days.

No idea for present ideas.

mustrunmore · 11/10/2007 08:16

Just asked ds1 what he'd like if he was a 4yr old girl.....
a pull back and go Snotrod
an empty treasure box
a mommy Make Me Better doll
Bindeez
So there you go. Ideas sorted

Flame, thats really sad, but also incredibly interesting. I'm sooo guilty of forgettingthat elderly relatives have had whole lives and all sorts happening to them I was about 20 before I realised that my Nan used to be a really wild version of me!

Csws, I'd like to come and see you! It's haveto be the start ofthe week though, as my Dad is back from Borneo and coming here from the airport on the Thursday very early and then he's going home so my Mum can arrive on the Friday! So that'd mean we could only do the Wednesday, assuming Mrcsws leaves early that sday, else we'd be encroaching. Oh, and I'd have to carry 2 carseats on the train Is there anywhere we could meet for a day out, so I could get the train and not have to bring seats? Er, not Willows before you mention that... still not done it by bus, as it looks like a terrible journey!
I'd rather be in Peru with Mrcsws though

MrCSWS · 11/10/2007 08:23

mrm

I am leaving on wed morning, so you won't be encroaching. If it was your friends who are now in Brazil (i have got that right, haven't I), I think you would rather be with me in the second stop (I am in Sao Paulo for the second week)

All

Am still lurking and keeping up...

mustrunmore · 11/10/2007 08:38

Take me!!!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2007 12:50

Jas - if it's a baby lies flat pram then no, thank you, as she already has one, but if it's a baby sits in push chair, then yes please.

Chloe - bras posted today, but second class (figured with the postal backlog delivery times would be a bit hit and miss anyway!), so should be with you sometime soon.

Talking of postal strikes, Phoenix hasn't been on here much the last few days. Are you striking from talking to us?!

Will pencil you in for Wedns then mrm, and have a think about how we get round the car seat problem.

Jas - would be perfect if you could come up on the Thurs, and we can hope for good weather so that the dc can make full use of the garden toys.

Others are still welcome too!

mustrunmore · 11/10/2007 17:06

Nah, she's having a few days sleep

You know, I'm sooo glad I dont have 3 kids. Its hard work

mustrunmore · 11/10/2007 17:23

Someone remind me what size Jas's ds feet are now?

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2007 17:57

5.5?

Frizombie · 11/10/2007 18:06

Mr CSWS am of you, would love to go to either or both of those places, think my dearest dh thinks they're too 'dangerous' though someone remind me why I married a stick in the mud again?

Thanks for the vague ideas girls gona have to do the sit down with a catalogue thing I think

Shop coming along, everyone managed to deliver everthing today and dd1 managed to have a huge paddy outside it even fetched the woman out of the store next door she was yelling that much, she didn't want to go home with Grandma has lost her doggy for the night due to this, I'm so not having behaviour like that!

Jas · 11/10/2007 18:17

5.5H Much as I would love to accept second hand shoes, I'm having to say no to lots of offers due to FAT FEET

Yes, it is a pram rather than a buggy. That can stay in the loft for now then.

Oooh, strict Frizbe

I still feel rubbish but have kept the sickness at bay (so far) I'm torn between going to bed at 8 and stayig up to watch Who Do You Think You Are.

mustrunmore · 11/10/2007 18:36

MrFriz is ridiculous

Oh well Jas, never mind!(bandage his feet so they thin out?!) Who's on Who Do You tonight? Did you seehte Stephen Fry one?

Frizombie · 11/10/2007 19:41

Oooh semi finals of the Restaurant tonight, whose watching??

UniSarah · 11/10/2007 20:00

How do you feb 06 parents feel about a gatecraher? I'm mum to a Mar 06 boy. looking for a slightly busyier thread to join.
speling not my strong point. long winded rambles about nothing much rather more my thing. I'm NOT in derbyshire or any of teh neighbouring countys.

CountessPHOENIXula · 11/10/2007 20:10

I'm still reading but feeling a bit stressed with work. So i've been coming home from work and chilling with a drink and letting dh hog the laptop for a while.

For anyone who's interested deliveries/collections are on strike again Tue 16th and Mon 22nd. It's hell at work

Hope everyone's ok

Flamesparrow · 11/10/2007 20:43

Come join us Uni We like long winded rambles, CSWS is a bit arsey about spelling but we just pat her on the head and ignore her.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2007 20:46

Hi UniSarah - threads don't come much busier than ours, and we are v good at rambling, so you should fit right in (as long as you can take the occasional spelling correction - am a bit of pedant , although Friz has got away with using the wrong version of your/you're for over 2 years, and I haven't stopped speaking to her yet ).

Friz - don't even know what The Restaurant is, so I guess that means I'm not watching!

Phoenix - have you still been at work then, even during the strike?

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2007 20:47

Excellent cross post flame!

CountessPHOENIXula · 11/10/2007 20:47

Flame is B's AS aspergers syndrome? R u watching Waterloo Road there's a pupil at the school with it. If you're not watching it its a bit late for me to tell u about it tho

Welcome UniSarah
