justbeme · 18/09/2007 13:52

how did it go jamantha?
and how did u manage 2 get some money back TA?

bumperlicious · 18/09/2007 13:55

Glad you got some money back TA.

Ooh, I forgot to say I'm up for secret santa too, but I think it should be gifts for us rather than babies seeing as no-one will buy us prezzies any more just prezzies for the babies

Jamantha · 18/09/2007 13:58

Agree with pressies for us Bumper [selfish smiley]

Interview didn't happen . The central office that had arranged it with me and had arranged for an interviewer to go in didn't tell the HR dept at my site. So the interviewer turned up and was told she wasn't needed and went away, then I turned up and was told I hadn't been expected. So we had a couple of hours visiting and then got the bus back home. Am waiting to here what happens next.

loonylovegood · 18/09/2007 14:10

OP posts:

sputnik · 18/09/2007 14:13

God I hate living here sometimes! Went to the office of the school in the next town to enroll DD yesterday, they said no, we need a piece of paper from old school saying she can move.

Right, drive back, go to school they don't have an office it's back in the other town, at a different school. Drive back and get there in nick of time, lodge my request, come back tomorrow for the piece of paper they say.

Went there this morning and turns out I don't need it for preschool, go back to first office they say. So turns out I could've done the whole thing yesterday in the first place I went, instead of wasting 2 mornings and gallons of petrol, grrr. Bloody Italians could not organise a piss up in a brewery.

Anyway, we are off tomorrow for 5 days holiday, hopefully I will have time to recover.

Jamantha · 18/09/2007 14:13

Do a big one if you wish, Holly, but why?

Jamantha · 18/09/2007 14:15

Sounds like a right PITA, Sputnik. But havea nice holiday.

sputnik · 18/09/2007 14:16

why woohoo Holly?

loonylovegood · 18/09/2007 14:21

Sorry, I do a woohoo and bugger off! Ds pooed!

I am entitled to the £500 maternity grant. It'll be in my account tomorrow! Hooray! I honestly didn't think I'd get it, but I did!

What a PITA sputnik! Sounds like a nightmare. Hope it gets sorted.

Also a PITA for you and your job Jamantha!

Glad you got some money back TA, good for you! It always pays to cause a stink!

Just got a massive box of nappies! It's like christmas!

trendaverter · 18/09/2007 14:24

well done Holly! HOW?!
I want one

cloth nappy girls - I have found the perfect nappy (but not if you are on a budget)

sputnik · 18/09/2007 14:24

Congratulations!

sputnik · 18/09/2007 14:25

Spill the beans TA?

Jamantha · 18/09/2007 14:26

Entitled to £500 because DS pooed?

Seriously, well done!

bumperlicious · 18/09/2007 14:26

that's great news holly, whacha gonna buy?

Grr, took some ebm out of the freezer to defrost and it must've had a hole in it coz it's leaked everywhere

trendaverter · 18/09/2007 14:29

swaddlebees organic velour nappy

it's a bit weird looking and fits a bit funny, but DS is pisser of the century and nothing holds it in, well they do but after 2 hours the nappy is sodden wet and so is he

Not with this - it's super trim, it was on for 3 hours, and when I took it off half of it was dry!

you can buy here

andiem · 18/09/2007 14:30

fab news holly

bumper you are so good I haven't expressed once yet am vv lazy at it

foxybrown · 18/09/2007 14:30

Woohoo indeed! Result, Holly!

Bumper, the bags you use aren't Avent are they?

Sputnik, ARSE for you. Enjoy your hols.

Seansgirl, mytwocents, Doggus, catsuitgirl: where are they now?

loonylovegood · 18/09/2007 14:38

Gonna buy a car!!

Foxy I was thinking the same thing yesterday. I was mentally preparing a list of people we haven't heard from in a while. Catsuitgirl is the worrying one. SHe hasn't even been since her baby was born. I really hope nothing is wrong. I think daisy CATed her a while back.

I'll email doggus and SG and MTC if I have her email.

bumperlicious · 18/09/2007 14:39

Lansinoh foxy. Andie, it only because DH does the express feeds and gives me a break that I do it!

Foxy, catsuit girl was originally pg with twins wasn't she...I was thinking about her last night actually. Seansgirl was around quite recently.

If anyone is out there lurking but can't be bothered to catch up, don't let it put you off, come on in!

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/09/2007 14:43

I think flame sells those as well TA...looked but too expensive on my purse, and DD does such delicate little wees so don't know if I can justify

BTW, did anyone see my link about the free sample pack of "Bambo" bamboo disposables? I put one on DD last night and after 14 hours (I know , but I didn't have time to sort her out before the school run then she fell asleep and I was loathe to wake her) it still looked like it could take some more wee, and didn't have that nasty chemical smell that normal dispos do...will be buying some for future use as they are better on the environment, apparently)

Woohoo indeed holly...i got that with DS, but it was only £250 in those days...I doubt we would qualify now. Now when DP complains about your nappy habit you have a ready made excuse.

Sputnik...Italian beauraucracy sounds crap...but hey, you have a climate instead of just "weather"

loonylovegood · 18/09/2007 14:48

I found a website selling really cheap swaddlebees. I'll see if I can find it.

In my special box of nappies I just got I have 15 bambineos, 3 wraps, 3 boosters, a roll of liners and a wet bag. All brand new for £100! So that should last ds until potty training.

I've used those nappies before daisy. I really liked them, apart from the colour! Not too good for bigger children though as they are not very stretchy.

I'm gonna look on ebay now for a car!

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/09/2007 14:50

I had an e-mail from SG a few weeks ago. she said that she is finding it hectic with DD and new DS and rarely finds time to be on. Best way to get hold of her is her mobile.

Funnily enough I was just thinking of her this morning so will test later.

I've e-mailed catsuitgirl and catted her too but nothing. It is really worrying. she lost a twin early on in her pregnancy and later on I think was suffering from blood pressure(?) probs. Her last post said that she was being induced on her due date...and nada since.

Mytwocents was internetless (she used to post from work) at home and last heard of when she texted to say she had moved and would be back on board once she got internet set up at home.

There are loads of others who have disappeared.......RedFraggle and Twiga amongst others. Lilkel has also been quiet.

....

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/09/2007 14:51

holly is there nothing you wouldn't buy on ebay?
