Gawd, I can't keep up with you lot tonight. My multi-tasking shkills are somewhat lacking these days.

I've just had my brother and SIL on the phone (they are the black sheep of the family, they were both pissed as farts as usual) and had to get DH to pretend he was stuck under the new dishwasher to get off the phone. she (SIL) makes my blood boil. I do not need her to tell me that my terminally ill mother is looking really thin, but it's no bad thing as she had a bit of weight to lose. No, bitch, she's losing weight cos she isn't eating because she's being eaten alive by cancer. Honestly Suddenly after nearly 2 years of letting my mum down by not turning up when they say they will and tapping her for money all the time, they have decided that maybe they can do some more to help my two sisters who basically care for my mum 24 hours a day. DH likened it to vultures circling.

sputnik · 14/09/2007 22:11

have to say that I am un-British enough now to think flannels are rather disgusting. Get a bidet!

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/09/2007 22:11

sorry needed a rant there.

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/09/2007 22:12

I hate when we go on hols - DH wonders why I pack a week in advance cos all u need to do is chuck a few things in a case an hour before u leave. Yeah that's fine if all u need to pack are yr own clothes cos smne else is taking care of the rest. When we arrive then its where's the towels, sunscreen, shower gel, do we have any insect repellant, paracetamol etc. Well did u pack any? Not f*in likely!

Once I thought I'd outwit him & just packed wee body shop bottles of toiletries, just enough for me for the week away. He used my shampoo up - silly me forgot to stash it- & I had to wash my hair in Fairy Liquid. Wouldn't mind but he's f*in bald !

foxybrown · 14/09/2007 22:12

Fucking hell Daisy for you.

That's horrible.

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/09/2007 22:14

Sorry Daisy - was so into my own rant missed that u really have smth to rant about.

sputnik · 14/09/2007 22:14

Sounds like you could've done without that Daisy

loonylovegood · 14/09/2007 22:16

Daisy, that's shit! She sounds like a right cow! I bet you want to give her a good punch!

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/09/2007 22:17

holly, thanks for all those links. I think I'll order some from plushpants. Only a quid each more expensive than the MN classified add, and they're new.

Yes Sputnik, I'm still buying nappies The ones I have are mostly newborn and are getting a bit nippy on her, I have about 12 birth to potty ones, but want a few more so I'm not scrabbling about for them all the time....
Right off to try and catch up a bit and call my sister to have a good bitch about SIL

riabutterflew · 14/09/2007 22:19

T, that's funny.

Oh daisy, families are awful sometimes and it's harder to deal with at times like this. If it's any consolation (but tell me to mind my own if you like) I'm sure your mum will see through them. Hope it hasn't upset you too much. (DHs famiily are BLOODY AWFUL, so much so that's he's lived with me so long and become almost socially acceptable that he doesn't fit in with them any more).

Which bit of Scotland are you from? COuld you get away with giving your SIL a glasgow kiss?

seriously though -

loonylovegood · 14/09/2007 22:20

I'm off too, need some rice crispies then bed!

Night lovely ladies, have a good old bitch daisy, it'll make you feel better!! xxx

riabutterflew · 14/09/2007 22:23

yes daisy, you are a nappyholic.

Nite all. Off to the forestry tomorrow with the GPs. Can't wait. Hope it's as good as I'm hoping it will be.

Don't have too much fun without me especially if you are hanig a "men are twunts" session

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/09/2007 22:24

LOL Tallulah, your rant made me laugh.

My brother is a real black sheep. WE don't call them or anything, but usually get one or two drunken phone calls a year. They owe me (well DS actually as it came from his bank account) £400 and have done for nearly four years. It's got to the point where I feel embarrased reminding them aboout it. DH, understandably, thinks I shouldn't even answer the phone if it's them. i really feel for my mum as she has three hard working sensible DDs and then a complete waster of a son. I cold go on and on about them.....but it just makes my blood pressure go sky high. i generally get by. by not thinking about them at all. Which is a bit sad really as he is my brother.

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/09/2007 22:27

cheers guys .

Ria, my mum has seen through them for a long time. So much so that even she doesn't call them and told him that she wasn't prepared to "lend" him any more money until he'd paid back what he owes her...

...and i couldn't possibly lower myself to a Glasgow kiss....we east coasters are generally more refined than that

Night all!

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/09/2007 22:30

Night all - hoping the LO's all sleep thru & the DH/DPs r all considerably less twunty in the morning. Hope springs eternal.

riabutterflew · 14/09/2007 22:59

just the once daisy - go on . it's all scottish to me!

Am glad you seem to be just cross and not too upset IYSWIM

really am going now as there's nothing left to eat...

Jpnathon Ross still has that weird beard - what's going on there then? quentin tarantino is a plonker. (I used to have a gorgeous fluffy pig on my desk at work - when I had a proper job, almost a career - called Tarantine. I won him in a grabber machine on Scarborough seafront!0

SAD GIT. GET A LIFE RIA!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/09/2007 23:32

2 weeks fluffles.jpg Why Fluffles should not be used on newborn babies ...the poor wee mite!

trendaverter · 15/09/2007 07:44

HAHAHAHAHA v funny though

I knew they were bulky but come on.... do you think her babygro will fit?

Jamantha · 15/09/2007 07:55

Well, it wasn't a great night. DD woke at 3.30, guzzled at my breasts like she'd not fed for a week, and then threw up all over her sleeping bag. I had to leave her crying while I went to get a clean bag off the laundry pile, then change and soothe her etc. But she just kept crying, so in the end I let her sleep on my tummy in my bed, and then when she was asleep rolled her over so she was lying next to me. Then we've been up since 6.30 and I'm now worn out. So she's having 10 minutes of cbeebies. DH says she shouldn't watch TV, but I reckon a little bit won't hurt too much. And when they have a song or music she gets SO excited, she obviously enjoys it. Might try to get her some music to listen to? Any suggestions?

Charlie999 · 15/09/2007 08:31

Morning

Sorry to hear your night wasn't too good Jamantha.

I think a bit of TV doesn't do them any harm. Have you got Sky - try channel 623 - my DD loves it and the bright colours / repetitive songs are stimulating for her.

I sing nursery rhymes to her all the time so she loves listening to them on the TV as well. I've also downloaded some onto the PC which I sing along to ...I'm a crap singer but she loves it!

Daisy - for you...hope you and your sister had a good moan ...sometimes I wish I had more than one sibling so I could whinge to one about the other

bumperlicious · 15/09/2007 08:39

Sorry you've had a crap night jamantha. I wouldn't worry too much about the TV, i think it's just the moving pictures they like. It's when they get old enough to demand hours of crappy kids TV that you have to worry! Not sure about music suggestions (DD and I listen to mika and queen) but we bought this which is really lovely.

bumperlicious · 15/09/2007 08:39

Btw, dd woke up really snuffly and I suck the snot out of her nose

trendaverter · 15/09/2007 08:48

Bumper
that image made me feel a bit queasy

Jamantha · 15/09/2007 08:49

Ew to snotty nose, but I guess you gotta do what's necessary.

We've got that CD. She finds the sleep one soothing, but seems non-plussed by the play one

daisyandbabybootoo · 15/09/2007 09:07

Eeeeeew bumper. I can quite honestly say that in the five+ years I have been a parent I have never sucked the snot out of my child's nose. I just put a twist in the corner of a tissue and have a dig around!

Bumper...This auction might be worth keeping an eye on for bargain nappies.
