I love this thread title

vole3 · 09/08/2007 06:06

Yep, I can carry on bf. Now I just have to solve the problem of how to get boobs out of bra in less than a minute as I can't get the clips undone and DS isn't exactly quiet whilst waiting.....

trendaverter · 09/08/2007 08:18

DS is SO in my good books

For the 2nd night in a row he slept from 10pm to 5.30am - only 15 mins before DH gets up for work anyway
[gloat emoticon]
Am very impressed with my little man. Still, about time I had some good news with him!

trendaverter · 09/08/2007 08:22

well I am off to Essex now...maybe see y'all later!

foxybrown · 09/08/2007 09:31

YAY!!!!

Tape test was passed, so no unwelcome visitors for ds2.

AND

DD2 slept from 10 til 5! am a hapy mommy today!

Holly - that could be me with 14 kids, if i started this 15 years earlier!

loonylovegood · 09/08/2007 09:44

Hey foxy!

The 14 kids went up to 16 by the time the show was finished! They were actually quite a sweet family (as far as god squad americans can be) and weren't sponging off the government like they would in this country! Good luck to them, not for me though, 2 is quite enough!

Glad you have no nasty visitors, phew for you!

foxybrown · 09/08/2007 09:48

hows life in the loony house today?

loonylovegood · 09/08/2007 09:55

Well, DD hasn't had a tantrum yet, which is a minor miracle! Going to take ds to be weighed in a sec, I'm sure he's put on loads of weight. He feeds all the sodding time and looks sort of chubby in the face.

Oh and I've got bloody tonsilitis again!

Are you being busy today?

TALLULAHBELLE · 09/08/2007 09:58

Hi everyone,

Got wee bit of catching up to do so will try to do it now as DD is actually sleeping -wonders never cease but I guess there's a first time for everything.

Feeling pretty shit as DH headed back to Oz yesterday & won't be back till Oct. Am missing him loads as is DD, am sure she was looking for him yesterday. Also bit nervous about how will cope alone, he has been a very hands on daddy & home during the day so & I have relied on him a lot - went 3 1/2 hours yesterday before realised LO needed a change . Take my hat off to those doing it alone permanently.

foxybrown · 09/08/2007 09:59

Ow! Sorry to hear that. Will they take your tonsils out?

DD is now 9.14, so has put on, but not as much as I'd expected given she's feeding all the time. But I can't complain if she's giving me 6 hours sleep. OK it was a one off, but at least I know she's capable of it now. Am sure the quality of my milk has improved too now that I am eating properly.

Just got the boys playing tennis at 1, then I think its an afternoon in the garden. Because I can't be arsed to do anything else!

How about you? How is the website going?

foxybrown · 09/08/2007 10:03

Oh T! Am sorry to hear that. Its no compensation, but we're here if you get lonely!

I did the first 10 months with DS1 alone and its really not so bad. You just get in to a groove together and its really quite nice!

Evenings are tough, though. That's when you need some conversation - even if its just to offload how shite your day has been, or to share something great. But we'll listen!

loonylovegood · 09/08/2007 10:03

I was supposed to have them out a few months ago, but got pg! I can't go back on the waiting list until I've stopped bfing. I'll just have to put up with getting tonsilitis every time I get tired for another year!

Oh Tallulah, you poor thing. That is a long time for him to be away. Do you have people nearby who can help you?

Right, I'm going to put on some mascara and go out! Byeeee!!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 09/08/2007 10:35

Thanks girls - my mum nearby but she's about to go back to work tues. Just unfortunate that DD has been a pretty demanding wee thing, not keen on naps or content unless feeding so has been hard to have ant time to myself even with 2 of us. Suppose will just have to let her scream from time to time so can have a shower, make tea etc. Neighbours will be chuffed !!!

Jamantha · 09/08/2007 11:51

Morning all - just been reading about sellotape and unwanted visitors etc - ew!

And silence is golden here about from the gentle whir of the laptop and tapping of keys. DD wore herself out with another mahoosive poo this morning and is now sleeping it off! So I've finally had a chance to write thank you letters to friends and family who sent lovely gifts when she was born.

And Tallulahbelle, I sypathise about having a demanding DD. (This nap this morning is very rare for my DD). But do come and let off steam, share your thoughts/worries/joys, have a natter here. I have DH to talk to in the evenings and I still rely on mumsnet to keep me (realtively) sane.

foxybrown · 09/08/2007 14:36

ahhh, its all to come!

andiem · 09/08/2007 14:45

foxybrown · 09/08/2007 14:59

Jamantha - you put me to shame! Thank you notes are something which remain nothing more than a good intention here. Am glad you are getting a break while DD naps.

Andiem - have a lovely break! Hope you get to relax. I love Cornwall, its a fantastic place.

Took DS2 to Dr to confirm no unwelcome visitors. Had Dr Oh So Handsome again . Nice.

annobal · 09/08/2007 16:17

Hi everyone,

Foxy am so of your sleep. DS3 seems to want to be awake and screaming for a good portion of the night for the last 5 nights (he was up last night from 5pm to 11pm (and he was awake most of the day) then 2 to 4.30 with wind. We eventually get it out and feed him but he'll only sleep on me despite my best intentions of putting him back to bed. Am trying the infacol tonight.

foxybrown · 09/08/2007 16:42

That's harsh Annobal! Hope you have a better night tonight.

Are you still up for the 16th? or is it the 29th? Or both?

Charlie999 · 09/08/2007 16:51

Hi everyone - I've had 2 days off MN as my mum has been here and its just taken AGES to catch up - we are such a chatty lot!

Forgotton most of what I meant to say already....

Bumper PMSL re message to JU - I saw the funny side .

TA Glad things are better, its amazing how different you can feel after a few hours sleep isn't it? Not ignoring you re Bluewater, just need to find your post again with the dates you're in Essex and then look at my calendar...got some stuff to take back to M&S so must go fairly soon...are you going to Hornimans on 29th?

Foxy - glad you have no worms! They are horrible and if present you would have all needed treating! I've seen similar crawling around my cats bum before now and its not nice!

Hope everyone else and their LOs OK - my routine is going to pot (DD now getting me up twice a night] and I MUST get it sorted as I'm knackered....could have quite easily fallen asleep coming home from London today.....but I was driving .

Charlie999 · 09/08/2007 16:54

oohh and after 9 and a half weeks, my DD has finally grown out of newborn clothes and size 1 nappies

AND

had ultrasound yesterday and all my bleeding was my internal CS scar bleeding ....lesson of the day...Do what you are told and don't do too much after a CS!

Don't know what happens now...will see GP next week

annobal · 09/08/2007 16:54

It is amazing how little sleep you can actually survive on - shame I look 10 years older

Def up for 16th and 29th. I won't be able to make it for 10.30 but should be okay for about 11.30 on 16th (boys have swimming at 9.15). You? I forgot about the acquarium and I think there is a dinosaur exhibition on there at the moment as well.

Charlie999 · 09/08/2007 16:55

Wish I had a Dr Oh So Handsome . I just have a "Dr. I'm a Shit GP"

Very good at doing huge posts aren't I...Sorry

loonylovegood · 09/08/2007 17:17

Hey dudes!

Oh dear charlie. Are you fixed now?

I can come on either day to the horniman, but can't do morning as if I get the train before 10 it costs 50 quid! If after 10 it is 30, so I can't really afford to do a morning visit!

I am just gonna put some of my homemade jewellery on the for sale boards, so have a look. It's quite nice, even if I do say so myself!

annobal · 09/08/2007 17:21

Poor you Charlie - what can they do about it?
