Charlie999, I have bought the crib and cotbed mattresses for ds. Thought that money spent now a better investment than paying for those helmets if head shape really goes awry. I have seen them on ebay if you're happy with second user things.
So far ds head is a lovely shape and no flat bits at all even though he has worn a bit of a thin patch in his hair.

Bumper, sorry to hear of your troubles. The right place for you and babybumper will be found and I bet it will be even better than where you are at present.

Badzelda - it's the Anita underwired nursing bra. My friend recommended them, but as they only go up to an E cup I was out of luck.

vole3 · 21/08/2007 17:58

Sorry Charlie999, might have helped if i'd put in the link www.sleepcurve.com/

daisyandbabybootoo · 21/08/2007 18:14

Developmental milestones here . DD can keep her head up all the time now, suddenly she just feels stronger somehow, and trying to stand up when on my lap is the best and funniest thing. I can't get her to sit...she goes stiff as a board and howls in a real boo hoo hoo fashion if I don't help her to stand up...bless!

I don't remember DS doing that this soon.....but maybe he did!

I'm going to give her formula tonight as I need to stockpile my supply of BM for letting MIL babysit. How much should I be feeding an 11 week old?

Thanks Vole - will look later.

Daisy - DD is on 7oz every 4 hours!

Seansgirl · 21/08/2007 18:21

That shit news Bumper! just what you don't need, hope you find something soon.

A bitch slap for each child gets my vote Foxy, some people have no fucking manners - she must have been raised in the gutters! LOL at TAs clap comment - perhaps the woman was a true pikey!

TALLULAHBELLE · 21/08/2007 20:05

Daisy - my book suggests approx 150 ml per kilo of body weight for each 24 hr period for babies under 3 months. So I guess you need to work out how many feeds she takes a day & how many feeds you need to leave. I find whenever I express for a sitter that DD guzzles the lot & looks for more - so I try to leave an extra bottle plus one of those wee cartons of ready made formula for absolute emergencies. You can always freeze the extra EBM if not used. HTH

trendaverter · 21/08/2007 20:13

I have pigged out on bad food for 3 days now

IT MUST STOP NOW

foxybrown · 21/08/2007 20:16

Thanks for the words of support lovely ladies!

Daisy, my DS2 is also being a horror. Trouble is he is a fantastic little actor - can do tears and snot and everything, so I'm never sure if he is truely upset.

Do people get their children dressed in the morning? DD2 just gets a bib, possibly a cardi and hey, ready to go!(Over her babygro, obviously!

DP seems to have forgotten to come home.

trendaverter · 21/08/2007 20:17

Hey Foxy,
Yes I do dress him in the morning, partly because I have the bloody clothes, may as well wear them, partly as I guess I do have a bit of PFB-ness about me

Seansgirl · 21/08/2007 20:18

aaaww TA live for the moment! Don't feel bad about it, just enjoy until you can be bothered.

This is how unfit I am - i get tired just doing Boogie Beebies in the mornings with DD and I am bursting out of skirts that were always 'big' on me I was a 18/20 and now i am a 20/22 . D Day is looming nearer.......SW probbaly on 11th sept!

trendaverter · 21/08/2007 20:19

SG I am a similar size, let's shift it together!

Seansgirl · 21/08/2007 20:20

Blimey Foxy you're posh! DS gets a blanket over his long sleeve body suit whilst hes in his soft chair and gets dressed after me and DD. Call the social bad mother am i!!

Seansgirl · 21/08/2007 20:22

I'd love to TA I was only saying to DH this evening how my knees are giving me jip! Either that or we could swap clothes

Seansgirl · 21/08/2007 20:23

Talking of food I'm going to watch Jamie Oliver and slurp some vino!

trace2 · 21/08/2007 20:32

hi all thank you for your goood wishers!
chloe is hopefully coming home tomorrow again with no full answers, but atleast not wrong ones. we have had to learn cpr once more and also how to put diasapan in to her bum to try and bring her round from a fit and phone 999, its getting more scary now than ever. they have a plan drawn up with what happens next but now refering her to nearst childrens hospital.

foxybrown · 21/08/2007 20:34

Oh Trace, am happy for you that she is coming home tomorrow, but it much be such a stressful time for you. I hope you, and she, are bearing up OK x

annobal · 21/08/2007 20:35

Trace, I'm so sorry that you still don't have any answers. It's good though that there is a plan and that she is referred. Is the Children's hospital a good one? Thinking of you and Chloe and hope you get some answers (and that Chloe gets better) really soon

trace2 · 21/08/2007 20:42

to tell truth i am drained so is dh and jack, but we have to be there for her, dh is stopping on a night as he can not cope with jack when hes stressed, the childrens hospital is in sheffield and yes its a very good one, but we will have to travel, also barnsley have gave us an open door where when shes having a fit we phone up give her meds and shes seen straight away

Seansgirl · 21/08/2007 20:46

Oh Trace, I'm glad shes coming home it must be so stressful for you all, it sounds like Chloe is getting the care that she needs I hope they find some answers soon it must be terrible not knowing. Love and hugs to you all xxxx

Seansgirl · 21/08/2007 20:58

Night night all am off to read my book and get some much needed sleep xx

daisyandbabybootoo · 21/08/2007 20:59

Oh Trace, the poor wee thing, and you too . It must be very draining for all of you. I've heard great things about Sheffield children's hospital though(a friends DS was treated there) so you'll be in good hands. I hope you get some answers soon. {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}

My Dd is being a wee bugger tonight. She's just shouting and every time I go in her room she laughs and giggles. I think she's just not ready for bed. Gave her some formula and she took 6ozs, spat quite a bit of it up and was looking for boob 10 minutes later. She seems to regard everything that comes in a bottle as a mid-meal snack which does nothing to dent her appetite. I'm going to let her shout for a bit and see if she can settle herself.

DS has been (reasonably) well behaved today apart from being stroppy in Tesco. But I can't blame him for getting fed up at me taking 10 mins to decide which packet of prawns to buy.

Hey SG...how are you doing hese days....are you feeling better about the world?

Tallulah, how is the BF going now....are you finding it any easier?

daisyandbabybootoo · 21/08/2007 21:02

I only dress her if we are either her babygro is wet in the morning, she spits up on herself or we are going out or getting visitors.

DS didn't really get dressed at all today. He was in the t-shirt he wore yesterday and slept in last night, and he'd put some shorts on himself this morning. I only realised ashe was getting ready for bed that he's been commando all day. he also went out with no socks on! What a shameless hussy I am!

bugger, she's crying now!

Seansgirl · 21/08/2007 21:04

Hey Daisy, yes I think I'm feeling a bit more human again thanks. I've just sent you an email BW. Night again x

sputnik · 21/08/2007 21:21

Trace, glad you'll be getting Chloe home again and that she sounds like she is getting good care. I really hope you can get some answers soon and can move forward. Don't forget to take care of yourself too, love to you and your family x

sputnik · 21/08/2007 21:26

Daisy, I'm glad I'm not the only one rather lax about dressing their children. Baby Sputnik gets changed once a day at the moment, following his regular up-the-back poo. And it's too hot here anyway for anything much more elaborate than a romper.
