daisy - i got told off today 4 not drinking enough as bf - what do u typicaly drink in a day? - dont divulge the alcohol tho!

bumperlicious · 20/08/2007 21:43

SG, hope you are ok. Have emailed BTW.

Daisy, are you suggesting we swap DC's ?!

TA can you remind me the make and model of your satnav, as I said DH said "find out the model and I'll do some research" - so predictable!

JBM, what could we do to make a meet up easier? What worries you about it? Is is getting there? Or meeting new people?

bumperlicious · 20/08/2007 21:44

JBM i read somewhere that when BF you should drink 3litres a day.

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 21:52

LOL Bumper, but you have no DC to swap ...or are you trying to get rid of DH?

JBM...I drink too much tea and diet coke and not enough water...and only drink wine after DD is in bed.

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 22:01

I meant older DCs obviously.

Evening all

JBM - I'm just the same - no need to explain as I know where you're coming from! Shall we sort something out between us and go on 29th?

I've bought some clothes from DD off this site and have been really pleased with the quality - perfect for her as she's in them such a short time - and MNetters sell them for fixed price rather than paying too much on e-bay.

Off to feed DD - Goodnight x

sputnik · 20/08/2007 22:05

That's a bummer Seansgirl, hope you're ok. I was still bleeding after 12 weeks with DD, turned out theree was some stuff left inside and I had to go and get it scraped out. no infection though.

Wonder how Trace and Chloe got on today with the MRI

riabutterflew · 20/08/2007 22:08

I think you're funny TA, perfectly normal conversation if you ask me!

justbeme · 20/08/2007 22:13

I went to the physio today (sp?) and she said not to drink caffeine/squash/juice and she couldnt believe how little i drank and ate in a day - (and my diet isnt v good).
god, so that leaves water and herbal teas (Yuk)

Lucy's screaming, so going to go and pacify her - looks like it might be one of THOSE nights!

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 22:14

Ria...did you get my friend request on facebook? you have to say yes you'll be my friend or I can't see your photos and vice versa....unless of course you don't want to be my friend....boo hoo hoo

Chloe update

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 20/08/2007 22:20

Hullo all

Was also just wondering about Trace and Chloe? I've just sent her a message on Facebook!
Also - How's your friend Bumper? Must be a day for her today!?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 20/08/2007 22:23

oooh and I've booked the skiing holiday!! Woohooo - am excited

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 22:23

JBM....FWIW, tiktok, one of the BF gurus on here has said that the amount you drink doesn't impact on the quality of your BM.....

It's the same with food AFAIK, although it will affect you if your diet is poor (and mine has been recently). Babe gets all the nutrients and you get with whatever's left over....which makes sense from an evolutionary point of view.

I have coeliac disease which means my iron and calcium absorption can be affected. I'd had the odd bit of gluten when PG with no obvious ill effects so I've been a bit blahse (sp?) and have been eating all sorts of wheat based products recently. I woke up this morning with itchy spots all over my ears and forehead which is one of the ways my symptoms manifest. So, it's back to basics on the gluten free diet for me and extra calcium (which may make dieting tricky, but I suppose it's better to be healthy and chubby than ill and thin).

Thanks for asking DKMA. I think she is doing ok. Sounds like she had a better experience than at the EPU. It's been pretty shit but she is pretty strong. She wants to try again straight away, I really hope things work out for her next time. There are lots of other girls on her thread going through the same thing at the same time It's so sad that this is happening to so many people.

bumperlicious · 20/08/2007 22:28

Right off to do last feed. DD is on milk duty tonight! (Bet she sleeps through for him )

Seansgirl · 20/08/2007 22:37

Sorry to hear about your friend Bumper, it is so unfair and very sad, at least she has the support of the others on her thread.

I've emailed you back BW. Right bath for me in salt water to help things along and then bed I'm on the 2am shift

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 22:38

I'm off too...DD not settling tonight at all. I can hear her snuffling and moving about, but don't want to go in as she will only want boob and it is really sore to feed her at the moment!

Oh, before I go...another DS cracker for you.....
He was asking about SIL and the twins and said "she can't give booby to two babies". I explained that it was possible, but that she was going to give them their milk from a bottle so BIL could help. I went on to explain that he was only BF for a few weeks cos I struggled to get him to latch on properly, to which he replied "yeah mum, I didn't like the taste of your nipples and they looked like big spots and were scary" DH nearly crashed the car he was laughing so much

Haven't been on facebook yet, will do that now.

FWIW I think SW is the best diet (or as good as they get), also it seems V generous for BF, I had trouble fitting all the H/Es in on those two days I managed to stick to it. I did lose about a stone before PG though (and the same 1/2 stone several times!) And you can have SW chips and brown sauce!

Nightx

riabutterflew · 20/08/2007 22:40

lol daisy. out of the mouths of babes...

justbeme · 20/08/2007 22:40

Thanks Daisy!
Well looks like im gonna be on the "all night long shift" cos lucys still crying!! ahhh - Night all X

riabutterflew · 20/08/2007 22:55

little baggins is actually asleep, but you have my sympathy jbm, as that has been my day - all day.

We are having a FULL day out tomorrow (hospital for Dh, school uniform shopping and tea at MILS) and I'm dreading it as you can't spend the whole time out with your boobs hanging out can you?

We (at 8 weeks) are just crossing over to 3-6months stuff, but he is so long and y mum can bear to see his little toes near the end of the babygros.

I am thinking of getting some re-usable nappies for DS2 for nighttime instead of pullups. Any recommendations for bigger sizes for overnight use?

riabutterflew · 20/08/2007 22:56

bugger, what I actually meant to put was, my facebook is being maintained, so I will catch up when I can. Of course I'll be your friend daisy

trendaverter · 21/08/2007 06:48

Bumper - it's a Navman N40i.
I really like it so far.

BTW your DD is gorgeous, did love the bow!

trendaverter · 21/08/2007 08:59

Am I the only person that is up early and bored in these here parts?
