she was with her DP and they had a pram, do presumably had a lo in there! I was minding my own business, and my children were beautifully behaved in there ( a bit of noisy talking and singing, but hey, nothing bad).

Perhaps because I looked like a bag of shite I was more self-conscious than usual!

Charlie, I don't think we need to worry too much about tummy time etc at this age. And anywhere they lie on their backs are pretty soft and cushioned. I never lay any of mine on their tummy and they have no trouble holding their heads up now!

Righto, off to tennis now. Back later!

Charlie999 · 21/08/2007 15:16

Thanks - blimey how does a first timer cope without MN - you girls are great for advice

trendaverter · 21/08/2007 15:18

Charlie don't make offers you don't mean

Charlie999 · 21/08/2007 15:23

TA - I do mean it. If he is a good dog, gets on with mine and I'm around when you go away, I'll have him. You've got my e-mail - e-mail me if you want!

trendaverter · 21/08/2007 15:23

define 'good dog'

Charlie999 · 21/08/2007 15:28

does what he's told - doesn't shit on my floor, doesn't chew my furniture, I can leave him to go shopping . Don't care about the rest, I have a 40kg lab fgs! Is he "intact"?

Charlie999 · 21/08/2007 15:29

oh, and I have a cat!

trendaverter · 21/08/2007 15:30

nope he's had his bits off. He comes with a cage... I have never left him alone with the run of the house as he has separation anxiety with ME but is ok with other people usually. So no damage, no.

Sent you a msg btw (facebook)

Charlie999 · 21/08/2007 15:35

yeah just replied. We used to use a crate for Barney, but got rid of it ages ago - and then lost a dining room table leg and door frame

justbeme · 21/08/2007 15:48

any one else not been out the house today or am I the only boring one here?
It hasnt stopped raining all day

annobal · 21/08/2007 15:50

hi everyone, sorry not been around for a while - out most days and going to bed early (yep ds3 still only doing 3-4 hours at best -1 hour at worst). Am very excited tho as i've just received my underwire feeding bras from figleaves .

DS definitely has a flat head on right side so i put something under that side so he can't lie on it.

Foxy - definitely rude and not very with it - apparently 4 is the new 3, doncha know

TALLULAHBELLE · 21/08/2007 15:51

Havent moved off my arse all day. Its not raining for once but dull & yucky & i'm feeling v lazy.

annobal · 21/08/2007 15:52

Horrible weather isn't it - we went swimming this morning but have been at home since then.

TALLULAHBELLE · 21/08/2007 16:01

Feel should get some fresh air, otherwise will just have more tea & the other half an aero I started earlier. MMM could go recycle the wine bottles - the empties are threatening to take over the kitchen. Shameful for a b/f mummy.

justbeme · 21/08/2007 16:03

Well Ive just finished the ironing - shit the pile just fell off the settee onto the floor!
and have made a pudding for tonight A la Nigella with the plums from the garden and soon I'll have to start on dinner using the potatoes from the garden {smug } or just call me barbara (good life!)

Charlie999 · 21/08/2007 16:04

We've been in all day - DD is still in her babygro from last night . Bloody weather

BadZelda · 21/08/2007 16:05

Hey Annobal: did you say UNDERWIRE feeding bras? Where?!!? God I hate the 'milking halters' as I have taken to calling them...off to figleaves now to check them out.

Also: how do you manage swimming with a baby? If I go with DD1 she clings to me like a little monkey. Def. wouldn't be safe with both of them. Do you leave the boys in a creche and swim with baby? or vice versa?

BadZelda · 21/08/2007 16:07

Horrible isn't it. DD1 is off at softplay with my friend, so just me and matilda this arvo...supposed to be writing so I am 'researching' by reading a book about serial killers and eating choccy biccies.

annobal · 21/08/2007 16:08

lol zelda, nothing as complicated, i can't put ds3 in creche until he's 3 mths so stuck with lounge for the moment. ds1 has lessons so i drop him off at the pool and watch from the lounge.

will find link...

annobal · 21/08/2007 16:11

this one
and this one. Haven't tried them on yet but will let you know what they're like.

annobal · 21/08/2007 16:12

Charlie, DS is also still in babygro from last night, and I've been out of the house

daisyandbabybootoo · 21/08/2007 16:38

Shite bumper that really sucks. I hope you find something soon. Could you try for a house with bit of a garden maybe?

Annobal i got really excited about underwired bras, and one of them even goes up to my size, but I think I've spent enogh on nursing bras.....about £150 at the last count . No wonder I'm bloody skint all the time!

Foxy, am that someone would do that, as its none of their bloody business. Your DCs sound really well behaved as well. She'd have more reason to frown at my one than your 3 older ones. I actually shouted at him in Tesco today "Cameron will you just stop shouting" at the top of my voice. Got some funny looks for that, I can tell you!

On diets, I was looking at the tesco e-diets thing and it said my target weight was 8st 11lbs. I haven't been that light since I was about 23 . It's going to be a long hard road to get down to that size I can tell you, that's nearly 3.5 stone!!!!

bumperlicious · 21/08/2007 16:49

hi all, just been to all the letting agents. nothing! crap time of year, plus with all the floods lots of people have had to move what a crock of shit! plus it's going to screw us financially for a while, what with rent & deposit crossover, plus the letting agents fees, moving van etc. arghhhh! v upset. sorry, i'm making a big deal out of it.

sputnik · 21/08/2007 16:56

What a pain Bumper

20% discount at figleaves with code COSMO chicks

annobal · 21/08/2007 17:27

Bumper, I'm so sorry - I missed your earlier post. What a pain. Have you found anything you like?

Daisy, I'm too scared to get on the scales. I did buy a pain au raison at the gym today and gave it to the kids for pudding though .

Just tried my bras on - they're fine as far as nursing bras go - only problem is that they are nylon and I'm a bit of a cotton gal. Think I will keep them though - one has a little button that you can move from one side to the other to remind you which side you last fed from
