mmmm so do I go and open another bottle of wine, just finished a glass from last night?? (realise Flame may not be the best person to ask right now)

Frizbe · 15/07/2007 20:58

have another glass, hic

TheOrderOfThePhoenix · 15/07/2007 21:00

You like my Harry Potter name?

I've just opened my 2nd lager friz so get another glass and join me. Cheers!!!!!!!

Frizbe · 15/07/2007 21:27

I'm happily on my 2nd Phoenix, lol at your new name

Sad news about Misdee's dh though hope he gets the help he needs very soon.

Oh Flame update on my friend I was on about, her nerve is squashed, not severed, so she's in a leg brace and crutches, until it decides to un crush, could be 6mths +, yikes for her.....she's having to look into getting an automatic car to get about/move into the hospital she's supposed to start work at in Aug for the time being, as otherwise she can't get there and back quickly or easily enough to keep her job

Frizbe · 15/07/2007 21:41

I can hear thunder!

Frizbe · 15/07/2007 21:43

so I check the storm data thingy that someone posted on here a long time ago, and there's a storm starting just here! one lightening strike so far

FlameDelacour · 15/07/2007 21:45

Oh no Friz!!!

And no, no for drunken texts!! Only

OP posts:
TheOrderOfThePhoenix · 15/07/2007 21:55

See i go off and do something else and people turn up

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/07/2007 22:15

I'm still here Phoenix.

Oh and I forgot to say that my period managed to turn up one minute before we were leaving for church, so better at least than turning up during the service.

Poor dd now seems to have a real barking cough. Given medised but she's still barking every few mins .

KelBelle · 15/07/2007 22:21

Friz - we had a storm at 6am this morning, it's very muggy tonight so may get another one.

CSWS - glad the christening went well. Cant wait to see some pictures!!

My back and back of legs are really hurting today after my 7 hours of gardening yesterday. A friend of mine took a load of rubbish to the tip for me today and my garden is looking lovely. I'm very proud of it although more to do yet. (if my back ever recovers)

So I'm planning my 30th birthday bbq this week, have started to get some bits in now, my sister is going to do balloons etc. Should be good fun. Just need to get this blooming mediation out of the way on Tuesday

Frizbe · 15/07/2007 22:21

Oh no CSWS, my dd had that last week, but pharmacist reckoned it was down to her 2nd mumps jabs you have my sympathies

Phoenix

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/07/2007 22:26

Hmmm, don't know what our excuse is then Friz! How long did it last in your dd, and did you find anything that helped?

Frizbe · 15/07/2007 22:39

Sadly no CSWS.....nurofen and calpol, although she did have the horrible throat to suggest it was the vaccine too....just mix n matched the two for 4 days until it went away, the last day of coughing was the day we met flame, she fixed after that...hope you get some sleep honey {{Hugs}} I'm off to bed now.

mustrunmore · 16/07/2007 07:41

Right, I've just caught up on the thread without my glasses, so its been a bit of a squint-scan! All I can ermeber is that vsws had a good event, Phoenix did RFL in mud, and Flame was pissed again

The boys loved our friends suprise 40th last night; ds1 dancing till 10pm, and the dj commented on his good taste in requests He also managed to consume 5 muffins and a slice of birthday cake Ds2 just stuffed himself on bahjis and naan!

I am kanckered.

Oh, and we have a new kitche ntable and charis; did I tell you??!! Courtsey of our neighbour, whose FIL bought her a new set!

FlameDelacour · 16/07/2007 07:47

I'm going to catch up properly in a minute, just wanted to tell you that a man is appearing at court on Friday charged with Steve's murder.

It seems to be something to do with a disgruntled customer he'd had words with (possibly for hitting on his girlfriend).

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 16/07/2007 07:54

But I guess you'll have to hope its a 'good' outcome, if there is such a thing in cases of murder.
Dh had a friend that was in the same class at school, who became a bouncer. Another classmate went to the club, wanted to goet in, the bouncer friend couldnt let him in for a very legitimate reson. So the other 'friend' said 'yeah, fair enough' went to shake his hand, but had a razor blade concealed, and slit him belly to nose straight up He had hundreds of stitches. This was a few years ago; dh doesnt have those friends now!

FlameDelacour · 16/07/2007 08:04

One of the bouncers I used to work with got involved in a scuffle trying to do his job, the guy fell and hit his head (drunken falling, not being pushed, he was the most gentle guy in the world, only made a good bouncer because he was HUGE), and the bouncer ended up facing charges Thankfully it was ruled in his favour.

Thanks for some nice cheery stories to start the day with .

FlameDelacour · 16/07/2007 08:43

Pleasure

I'm glad the christening went well, and that the period came before

2 grumpy kids here. Ds2 has yet another bout of conjunctivitis so we're off to the Dr's in half an hour. It's in the very early stages and once his eye is cleaned up you can't see it so I'm hoping they'll still prescribe him.

Ds came into our room at 5.15 and when we sent him back to bed he started to shout and stamp his feet which in turn woke ds2. We should have called him Rumplestiltskin the amount of stamping he does!!!

Once we've been to the Dr's, it's butchers and bakers and then back to get ds2 to bed. I think we're in for a day of storms, both indoors and out today

Forgot to say well doen Pg on the RFL.

What did you get your friend MRM in the end?

Frizbe · 16/07/2007 09:33

Candlestick makers as well Macca dd2 is of the Rumplestiltskin mode here

Flame, sorry, forgot to say about Steve when flicking through the other day, glad they have someone though, hope the outcome is the right one Blokes n booze eh....mind you women can be as bad.....
I think there should be more coffee shops open later in this country! Went into Borders in Bournemouth the other night, to hail a bookstore without the kids in tow, and stuffin Starbucks had already shut at 8pm when the shop was open till 9!!! not fair, sob.
Have fun at dd's concert

MRM for new chairs, great that ds2 eats Bahjis, not sure if dd2 would here, mind you she did eat only stuffing balls for tea the other night, about 3 of them (we were out and the rest of the roast dinner was apparently unappealing)

CSWS, how did dd sleep last night?

So I'd better get my ass in gear and do some work, right?

Chloe55 · 16/07/2007 11:52

You beat me on the Race For Life PG I did it in 49mins, I was kinda glad it was that slippy and muddy it made it impossible to run because I had a hangover from hell, I was nearly sick on the way there - had to keep getting my brother to pull over and stop - must admit the walk definitely sorted me out though, loads of people were falling over all over the place - that alone kept my spirits up!!

Had a great reunion with my friends on sat night - I was absolutely hammered though, in fact so much so that we ended up in a strip club at 4am - my friend bought a bottle of champagne and after a sip I had to leave the club because I could no longer communicate with anyone - DH says I fell out of bed twice too I still feel rough today!

Glad the do went well CSWS and glad your period at least waited until you had left the church before starting

I hope the outcome for Steve goes well Flame.

Go for the job Frizbe, it definitely pays to feel like your job is meaningful.

Hope you are feeling better today Jas

Hi to everyone else!

TheOrderOfThePhoenix · 16/07/2007 12:00

Sounds like a good night chloe did u do the morning rfl? I did afternoon. The ground was horrible wasn't it my trainers and trousers were brown by the end

Chloe55 · 16/07/2007 12:07

Afternoon - although I thought it was at 4pm, I was still in my pjs at 1.45pm!!! My bro had to come and pick me up (because I was in no fit state to drive) we got there for 2.40pm and joined the walkers. There were massive puddles - how anyone ran it is beyond me, I'd have been terrified of falling and twisting my ankle or something! We did run the final stretch though, I thought I would slap it in front of all those people watching

Frizbe · 16/07/2007 16:46

well done for you running the final bit Chloe, in fact well done for doing it at all after that skinful, hats off to you
