Pack for going away tomorrow? Where to? Can't be for long if you're back for Sat night!

Are the postmen striking today? We had no post, and either lots of people have forgotten by birthday, or there is a big pile of cards waiting to be delivered!

mustrunmore · 02/08/2007 17:42

The strike will explain my lack of macca pacca delivery! i'm sure no ones forgotten you csws

Phoenix · 02/08/2007 18:09

Yes we're on strike today. Deliveries and collections that is. But this ones fallen on my day off again so i still get paid

Phoenix · 02/08/2007 18:11

I'm gonna try ds with In The Night Garden now (after sitting through 3 teletubbies) to see if he'll sit still and watch it then at least it'll be a small change from watching TT all the bloody time

Flamestorm · 02/08/2007 18:23

Yup - waiting for stock

Hurrah for MRM's trek through London - you'll love it really, you know you will

Jas · 02/08/2007 18:48

I'm taking the dds to my parents, staying one night and leaving them there So I have to pack their stuff, and overnight for me and ds.

DS likes in the night garden. He doesn't move when it is on It's nearly finished I think, so I'll put him to bed and sort out the dds stuff for tomorrow.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/08/2007 19:22

Off out tonight for a posh birthday dinner btw, so won't be around.

Jas · 02/08/2007 19:31

Have fun

KelBelle · 02/08/2007 21:33

Thanks for the offer ladies but I reckon you will have a LOT more fun without me and DS on Sat. I would rather come on my own too and enjoy myself rather than chase DS round all evening and him moaning because there are no other kids there. Perhaps when you arrange meet up with the kids I can come too.

You were talking of your LO's talking the other day and DS says loads now. I told him yesterday a bucket of water was heavy and he said "HEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVY" he says mum, dad, bubba, cat, wowo (dog), birdeez, bist and tiggs (my mums cats), nanna, no, yay, fissssshhhhh, duck, quack quack, hipppppoooooooooo - cant remember any others but these are off top my my head.

On the down side, he still does not eat enough!!!

Flamestorm · 02/08/2007 22:03

Oodles of words!!!

Just back from Le Grande Cirque - oodles of spinning oriental teeny people

Jas · 03/08/2007 07:35

I'm off now. I see you all tomorrow

Jas · 03/08/2007 07:35

I'm off now. I see you all tomorrow

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/08/2007 07:38

Have fun .

Any vague idea of when you're planning to arrive tomorrow?

Frizbe · 03/08/2007 10:01

Did you have a great dinner CSWS
I shan't be staying for sunday lunch, have to be at sil's for 11am, as she's booked us for lunch somewhere at 12.30pm so reckon I need to leave yours at 9am so will have to lay off drinking tooo much later in the evening stop me at 11 will ya ladies!! and please feed me water before I crash out

Hi ellenrose!

Dame, how did the scan go?

Hello Macca! still got a houseful?

Flame, for spinning people

MRM, you'll have fun taking flame to waterloo I hope you've not got your passports (would hate to plant ideas in your head about hopping on the train for a whizz to france)

Jas, fingers x'd you get your passports back in time, I've just got a surprise birthday prezzie through the post today and two cards, all held up due to Phoenix!! sure the priority stuff like passports will be whizzing through in time though.

So we did inland seaside at Matlock yesterday (did I mention already?) park, 2p arcades and 50p a go bob builder rides etc, oh and ice cream, kids loved it! Today its off to see the Twennies make an apperance at a shopping centre Starbucks for me I think, whilst ss helps me wrestle with the younger two

Frizbe · 03/08/2007 10:02

Flame, oh no pipsqueeke has lost her bump

Flamestorm · 03/08/2007 10:11

Do I know pipsqueeke?

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/08/2007 14:24

Oh no Friz - off to find thread. (flame - it's beanie lady we talked about before).

Yes dinner was lovely thank you. Couldn't make up my mind what to have for dessert, so had a 'surprise plate of little puddings'. Too many to list here, but will make your mouths water by telling you all about them tomorrow!

My ITNG goodies just arrived for complaining about the competition on here. I love MOM .

Pile of birthday cards arrived today for me too Friz .

FlameFlamingo · 03/08/2007 20:26

I'm here!!!

Train set off 20 mins late. Called Boy to check which station my connecting train went from - I was convinced it was St Pancras... he said Blackfriars. My sister had also decided to check and called to say King's Cross or London Bridge!!!

With the aid of a very large map at Waterloo I decided on London Bridge, and then a nice man pointed me in the direction of how to get there!

2boysmacca · 03/08/2007 21:01

Well have a fantastic night tomorrow. I want to see some photos. Can someone pour me a large g&t and I can be there in spirit if not body!!!! Enjoy xx

mustrunmore · 03/08/2007 22:31

So I'm escorting you to waterloo via london Bridge??

I'm knackered already; out with the boys in london from 8.45am till 9pm!

Er, do I need to be very precise about my arrival time? I'm thinking of getting a train about 1.30pm, so WGC about 2 and a quick mill in the shops? Is that ok or too early? I can easily mill for longer!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/08/2007 22:38

at the length of your day out. What did you see?

Time sounds fine to me. Think we'll prob have lunch out tomorrow, and then get dd down for a nap, and dh will most likely come and pick you up. Shall we not set a definite time now, but keep it as sometime between 2:30 and 3:30, and then confer during the afternoon?

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/08/2007 22:40

You'd all lol at us btw. The 3 of us all sat in the same room, all on laptops, with glasses of wine, the TV on, and ignoring each other totally .

Phoenix · 03/08/2007 22:45

Me and chloe will be leaving around 2.30 so if the roads are clear that should make our arrival around 5.30ish does that sound about right?

FlameFlamingo · 03/08/2007 22:48

You can escort me as far or as little as you wish my dearest

Phoenix · 03/08/2007 22:51

Oooops i've nearly finished a bottle of wine.

dh has took off to bed without saying goodnight
