Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes, brain haemorrhages (sp!!?) can be hereditary; but not in all circs & I guess cos FIL's father's was caused by the attack, iti s just an unhappy coincidence ....I am no Dr either btw - Just holding your family close in thoughts & prayers, runny.

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2007 11:27

Katy - What can I say!!? I am magic ....

Hoping my Boss leaves Laptop in office so I can chat to you guys (& get colour requests for the Doidys....) while working this PM.....

12.15 not sure id be so happy with that! W're going on hol on 7th july with all dp's family (wish me luck!!) and i had to write aforementioned stupid begging letter to get permission to take dd out of school would understand if she was taking exams or something but its end of term, year 1 she's not gonna miss much.

Have considered fenugreek but things seemed to pick up abit so didnt but may go get some now, thanks for reminder.

Bum, dippy said something I was going to respond to but cant think what now

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2007 11:30

On the carpet!!? Oh dear - I hope he is just teasing you, Luce! I haven't Toilet Trained a boy either (girls only in this house, apart from DH of course.....) Guess sticker charts / marble jars & lots of toy car incentives are needed .......??

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2007 11:32

Ha! Ha! Pesha's going crazy!!!

runnyhabbit · 27/06/2007 11:34

Katy - know what you mean, but I think its more the thought of history repeating itself.

Have just spoken to dh about it, and he's going to talk to his mum, to try and get fil to agree.

This is going to sound awful, but if he doesn't want to do anything, or get checked out properly (he's talking about going back to work this week fgs!) I think dh will use emotional blackmail. Dh never knew his grandad, and he doesn't want the same to happen to J and W.

Luce - pmsl at ds Could with tips too, as we are starting to train J (he's started pointing to his bum when he's poo'd)

Sorry not very helpful really. HAVE TO GO COLLECT THE little darling from playschool now, will try and think of some more constructive advice for you!

Pesha · 27/06/2007 11:39

PMSL @ "sour faced old b*&^ch She sounds like she'd be the Life & soul of the Party!! LOL @ your "tactless x-posts" too - where woudl we be without you, Pesha!!?

Need to start thinking about feeding the middle child & getting her ready to spend the PM at my friend's while I'm working.....

Pesha · 27/06/2007 12:50

Talking of the SFOB she was in the class at nathans school visit the other day, bent down to one of the children and gave me a full view of her black lacey thong Yak! I DID NOT need to see that! Now is it just me but if I'm going anywhere where I know I'll be bending down with the dc like at soft play I make sure first that I'm not wearing arse/pants flashing trousers or have a top long enough to cover my arse (which at present means very long!), you'd think as a teacher she'd have thought of that wouldn't you?!

Or maybe it was on purpose, there were alot of dads there and she is Miss C not Mrs

Haven't read more than the odd post because of time, but I did see runny's - how terrible. I don't know what to say, but I do send love.

Feel very out of the loop, and am now completely unable to keep on top of posts, as there are just so many. But I did want to say thank you all so much for advice re G taking a bottle of EBM; we did the Cold Turkey thing, with me taking DS1 out and DP indoors with G, and slowly it worked. Now he will take a small feed with no probs - hooray! We are only intending to give him one small bottle a day, but it does mean that I have a little freedom back - useful as am about to start back at part of my job

Otherwise, all is okay here. DS1 still doesn't like the baby crying but has improved a lot in terms of his reactions (although babies at Mother & Toddler are another thing - sigh). He is quite tantrummy at the mo' but then he is only a baby still himself, really (was two at the start of Feb), and a new baby (leaving aside his issues with the crying) is a lot to deal with. I think it is probably just dawning on the older children that our babies are here to stay rather than here for a visit So am going with it, trying to pretend I don't notice he is biting the carpet because I won't produce a second ice lolly, and biting my tongue Poor lamb - it must be hard being two.

Hope everything is well with you all. I do try to read the longer posts, as they clearly aren't just localised chat, but I am still hopelessly out of touch. I do send love, though xx

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2007 13:45

LOL @ you and your SFOB talk Pesha - @ the black lacy thong - yak yak yak!!

Well I am at work, Boss has left the Laptop & Phoebe is still asleep - woke up when I transferred her from crib to car seat; but fell asleep in the car & is still fasto ..... ...... She'll most definitely be a ravenous beast when she wakes up!! Have a warmed up bottle of EBM all ready ........

You're not going to believe it, but someone came in this morning and bought a load of Doidy Cups!! So sadly, there's only 3 in stock here atm - I've just put in an order for more & they'll be here this time next week - The good thing is, I've been able to order the colours people wanted cos of this!! Is everyone ok if I send the 3 cups we do have in stock to "first come, first served"? ..... Pesha was 1st to contact me about cups so I'll pop one in the post for you later on today ...... There's a choice between mint green (1) & purple (2) - I'm guessing you'll want the mint green one as you've got a wee boy?? Let me know .....

I'll post the colours I've ordered in a sec & you can email me to let know what colours you would like .......

Hope this makes sense ..... I am not making any sense to myself right now .....

Anyway - Hello Bugmum! Good to "see" you sweetie - Don't worry about keeping up, just post when you can - Glad you are doing ok!!

Just to let you all know, Ellie's been climbing fences in her skirt & flip flops this morning!!

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2007 13:56

Nutty (Purple)

Pesha · 27/06/2007 14:44

Dippy - mint green would be fabtastic thankyou Although if anyone wants theirs (okay why does 'theirs' look completely wrong? It's not is it?![need sleep emoticon]) in a hurry I'm happy to wait abit.

Is anyone planning on BLW their LOs? I was reading up on it the other day and it all just makes so much sense to me and answers some of the things I was confused about by waiting till 6 months. I'm not silly enough to say it's definitely what I'm going to do cos who knows how ds2 will be but I'd really like to give it a go. Got quite excited by it all actually But then i always love the weaning stage!

Oh and just wanted to say that my chav score was only 29% so anyone who thought I was chavvy

Pesha · 27/06/2007 14:45

Oh and YAY at being first at something!!!!!!!

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2007 14:55

I did BLW with DD2 & it worked fantastically - definite recommendation from Camp Dippy! Hey - it was ellie as well - I refuse to take all the blame!!

AngeG · 27/06/2007 15:34

Hello anyone around?

AngeG · 27/06/2007 15:40

No I'm all on my own

Pesha · 27/06/2007 15:48

I'm here but I'm going - dp has just taken all 3 los to see his nan and grandad so I'm off to bed for uninterrupted sleep without a baby imn my armpit!! Knowing my luck will not be able to sleep now!

Dippy - fab that you've done BLW - you will have to give me tips! My hvs do a weaning visit at 12 weeks so may need to talk to you about it before then so I am prepared for it, am expecting them to maybe not be completely supportive so want to be able to argue my case effectively and let them see its not just some crazy fad ive read about on the internet!!

Right off to bed! Although am in very cheery mood at mo so seriously expecting not be able to sleep but praying i can. If not its housework PLEASE let me sleep!!!!

AngeG · 27/06/2007 15:50

Oh just seen your message Dippy.

Wish I could have had a purple cup [only cos it's my fav colour] instead can I have sparkly pink and red please? You're a star

AngeG · 27/06/2007 15:51

Have a great sleep Pesha.
