I dislike baby poo. Intensely.

Sexonknackeredlegs · 28/06/2007 11:33

Blimey, how many posts! Have tried to catch up, but am really just running in to ask a very selfish question.

Are any of you who have other dc's, taking your new baby to any classes, like music etc.

I haven't as yet, and am holding off until B is at school full time which will be from the begninning of November.

Do you think I am depriving K????

CD, thanks for the explanation of BLW btw. I have never heard of it, so will need to look at the links.

Pinions, really glad things are brighter for you hun. Need to be more conistent with B and the omega 3, and she didn't have any yesterday - naughty mummy!

Cannot remember a bloody thing!

Hope the jabs have gone ok and there are no side effects. I thnk the only thing I found was K was not as hungry for about 24 hours.

Dh has suggested I might like to go to a Spa hotel for a night, so have a break from everything! V tempted.

Right, need to run as K is asleep, and I have a million things to do!

xx

Kneehighinnappies · 28/06/2007 11:35

Morning
Hope we all had lovely dreams of moon cups and fairy hammocks, went to bed last night and was pmsl @ those terms why such cute fluffy names I'll never know.
I like DH's term for tampax "wadding".

Runny i am with you what is a doidy cup? are we missing out on something?

And can someone please explain how a moon cup works I can't seem to picture how it would go.

I want to sell my wedding dress, does anyone want it?
It is a size 12 ivory and comes with 3 ring pittiecoat(sp?) and matching wrap (never worn)
I will give you a good price as I neeeeed the space, may even chuck in the shoes if they are the right size.
here is the dress

If no one wants it I will stick it on the for sale page.

Katy44 · 28/06/2007 11:37

KHIN, just wanted to say I love the dress!
Better not buy it though as DH might be a bit put out

Katy44 · 28/06/2007 11:39

SOKL I'm taking T to as much as i can, everyone seems to be 1st timers, think parents of 2 have too much other stuff to do!
Can only think of 1 little girl who has an older brother
Think September will be good as she'll prob. be old enough to get something out of it

CaptainDippy · 28/06/2007 11:40

Awwww, your dress is v.pretty KH - unfortunately, I am already married & have no need for it!! do you want to buy mine!!? Explaination for Doidy Cups in one of my posts below .....

SOKL - GO FOR IT - with the Spa - deifnitely - you'd be MAD not too ..... Also waiting til Nov is absolutely fine for baby activities .... K is not missing out - she's too young to care / remember anyway. My DD1 was only one of my children who got to do any "exclusive" activities - One of the downers of having too many Pre-School children - logistics are a nightmare & it costs a bloody fortune - enjoy your exclusive time with K once B is full-time at school .... definitely one of the perks of bigger age gaps!!

CaptainDippy · 28/06/2007 11:43

Right, going to go & do stuff before DD1 gets back from Toddler Group ....

Maybe "see" you later ........

leakyR · 28/06/2007 11:45

SOKL apart from baby group and baby massage both run by HVs locally we're not doing much.

Going to start swimming next week. Not formal classes but with some girls from baby group. Also considering rhythm time starting September, have heard good things about it.

I've read at this age everything is new and interesting to babies, so don't feel like you're depriving them if not doing loads of activities.

nuttygirl · 28/06/2007 11:46

Nice dress KHIN! again already got one here!!!

sokl - I don't think K is missing out at all. All the people at my M&B group are 1st timers AFAIK.Also with having B it's not like she's the only child IYSWIM. I go to M&B so that Erin gets to see other children, if we already had a LO I wouldn't think it was that important. Does that make sense????

Erin not feeding too badly today but her poo is a bit harder...is that normal when taking gaviscon? I gave her some cool boiled water today, is that ok do you think?

Katy44 · 28/06/2007 11:47

November
How did I read September??
Right, going to prepare tea while T is asleep in his bouncy chair

Kneehighinnappies · 28/06/2007 11:49

I took the DT's down to baby rhym time with dd1 and even thought there were only little babies there dd1 loved it she was standing in the middle of the cirlce doing all the actions and singing. Mind you dd1 is too young to care about being stuck with babies.

maveta · 28/06/2007 11:49

Sokl - if it´s any consolation, the million baby activities on offer in the UK just are unheard of over here. So if K is deprived, so are the entire nation of Spanish children! TBH I think these groups are probably great fun but seem to be as much for getting parents out and about doing things as for the babies. I will just have to depend on my lo seeing his cousins once a week to socialise him and otherwise we´ll have our own activities days of painting/ singing/ whatever.

I still don´t particularly play with N, I think just bunging him in the pram or baby bjorn and letting him look at the world and absorb it all is plenty stimulation. And the 15 mins a day he is in his bouncer he´s normally pretty entertained by the radio and me dancing like a loon whenever I pass in front of him Still has little or no interest in his baby gym, his favourite activity is sleeping and I am encouraging him to maximise his potential

leakyR · 28/06/2007 11:51

I know too much adult gaviscon can make you a bit constipated so the infant stuff might have an effect on Erin's poo.

Think cooled boiled water is the right thing to give a bottle fed baby.

CaptainDippy · 28/06/2007 12:06

LOL @ "maximise his potential!! Abso-poser-lutely!!

right, need to make older girls lunch, then pack them off to nursery & enjoy some P & I time - going to see a friend and her 13m old boy & then off to get rid of our old car ....

AngeG · 28/06/2007 12:10

Hello all

Have just caught up, took me ages, wow you lot talk so much sometimes.

PMSL at the moon cup/fairy hammock talk Have considered a moon cup...not sure though, someone would have to convince me.

Hope all those with jabs today went ok.

KneeHigh - dress is gorgeous, no need for it atm...unless DH continues to be an ar*e

BLW intrigues me read bits of aitch's blog when pg.

SOKL - not doing anything with Izzy at all...just stuff with Jake think I will come September if I can fit it around J's pre-school.

Can't remember anything else. Off to soft play with a friend this afternoon...going stir crazy today.

AngeG · 28/06/2007 12:12

Just remembered SOKL - yes you must go for Spa break...it'll do you the world of good...can I come to?

Sexonknackeredlegs · 28/06/2007 13:18

Me again.

Glad I am not alone in not taking K to any groups as yet. Just think it will be much easier later. Could start things now, but come September when B is doing a mix of am and pm at big school it means dragging her along to the classes which may be a bit dull for her.

Ange, fancy a night off then????

Katy44 · 28/06/2007 13:21

Katy44 · 28/06/2007 13:29

thanks cd
bleurgh
got a huge glass of water, might have some dry toast

Sexonknackeredlegs · 28/06/2007 14:08

Oh Katy, what a nightmare. Hope you are ok.

K seems to be hungry all the time (sorry Katy!!) Just gave her a 6 ounce bottle which she necked. I put a piece of flapjack in my mouth and she started stuffing her hand in her mouth and is now crying!! FFS she is only 10 weeks!!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 28/06/2007 14:11

Nutty, meant to say that I do what Oogs does re making the bottles. I put together 5 x 6 ounce bottles of cooled boiled water, add the powder when feeding time and K has it at room temperature. Easy!
