Kayzed- Apologies but I had a little giggle at Chili weeing on you.

Blos- The pictures are lovely, I can see where both you boys get their good looks from your husband is quite hunky.
Your friends house sounds fabulous, It?s a house I always dreamed about having.
I used to meet quite regulary with a group of mums I met at aquanatal when preg with DD and even though I still see them at playgroup once a week I don?t tend to see them any other time as they are sahm and im I work. I miss meeting up with them.

Im glad im not the only one who has a terror in their 3 yr old. DD has been impossible the last few weeks. MIL put it down to jelousy again now that DS is starting to walk about etc and get more attention. She cries and whines over anything and has temper fits of throwing and hitting. Yesterday she was playing in her room with James while I got dressed, I could here them giggling etc and then some repetitive banging then James cries and I go and see whats wrong to find him surrounded by books. I asked her what he was crying for and she says ?I was just throwing books at him? Poor thing. Its as if she has a split personality.

Today looks cloudy here. Its been lovely the last few days and DS and I have been out the garden mostly. He loves DD?s trampoline and climbs up on it to bounce and we have to walk around the garden so he can kick the football. DD on the other hand stayed in the house because she was ?fed up? of being outside.

Twinkle- You really don?t have to leave us. Some mumsnetters really can be bitches. We would miss you. Great pic of him sleeping btw.

Afternoon girls.

I did twelve lengths this lunchtime. I spend more time in the shower afterwards though than in the actual pool. Still, getting better slowly.

We had a nice weekend. One major incident, for those of you easily grossed out, please don't read any more:

Joey playing in the garden with no nappy on (beginnings of potty training). Kayley also crawling around the garden. Both are awfully quiet while DH and I contemplate how quiet they are. Kayley suddenly makes a 'yeuch' noise. Joey had pooed. Kayley had crawled in it. And, evidently from her hands and mouth, eaten some... Both dumped in bath, mouth washed out under loud protest... Decking cleaned and hosed down.

Yeuch!

Duely noted to keep a closer watch on Joey on his not-supposed-to-poo-today-he-pooed-yesterday days.

KZ you party girl you! I went to Ibiza once, but avoided all the busfuls of party people. I know, I'm a dryballs. Too tired...
Tis a lovely island if you ever get to see it in the daytime!

Twinkle, Aiden is gorgeous! Great photos!!
I haven't read those threads, but I know what some posters are like, and I avoid those kind of threads. Stick with us missus!!

Lysette, haven't tried calendula cream, have you? Only thing that seems to work for Kayley is 2.5% steriod cream, but that can't be used for very long or very often, as it can cause long term damage. Must do a google on calendula, thanks.

Bloss, what a fab day!!!

Have a good evening girls

Annie

TheGoddessBlossom · 13/08/2007 19:22

gorge photos TM.

Thise with eczema, a girlfriend swears by a particular cream prescribed by the doc for her LOs, I'll get the name of it and post it........

I have to baby sit tomorrow, so no Historic Warwick for me, am very disappointed and so sorry.

JeanieG · 13/08/2007 21:07

Evenings people,

I never get to play on my computer much any more it drives me mad.

Anyway, DP is coming along for the ride tomorrow. I think he was either feeling left out or doesn't believe that I will manage to get all the way there on my own. Cheek!! Saves me from driving anyway.

Does anyone know what the weather forecast is for tomorrow? I'm hoping it'll be good.

DP and I are also off to Amsterdam on Wed for (get this) 3 whole days on our own!!! That is a first. I can't bloody wait. I'm havin a proper busy week this week. DS and DD1 are delighted as they are going to spend the time staying with my friend and Abbey is off to PIL's so she will be treated like royalty for the whole time.

I'm very excited about tomorrow but also a little nervous. Saddo hey?

Right am off to have a mooch about on MN. Speak later

everyone have a great time today! i too am disappointed not to be there, but jacob has a nice runny head cold from teeth which he has given to me and i am now developing an attractive barking cough. man i sound like a seal!

well dh and i spent pretty much the whole of sunday morning bitching at each other, on top of wednesday and thursday nights it wasn't pretty. and then we had to go to a first birthday party and pretend everything was happy families. still jacob got his own back by ignoring his dad, which then sent dh into another spiral of upset. he's a bigger drama queen than anyone else i know!

anyway, off to get some cough mixture, lok forward to seeing all the pics.

i'll take today to catch up on all the pics you've been posting.

kz i howled at the chili peeing on you, sorry!

annie i used calendula on his very bad broken skin nappy rash and it cleared it up in pretty much one day.

HumphreysCorner · 14/08/2007 11:07

Have a lovely day girls-can't wait to see the glam pics .

Great excitement in the HC household as FIL has agreed to lend us some money so we can buy another car. Have bid and won one on Ebay and DH & FIL are going down south to hopefully collect it tomorrow. Have been watching and praying for this car for the last 2 weeks and couldn't concentrate on anything else. So, so hoping they do actually come back with it.

Sophie has the biggest outbreak of spots ever so will get the tea tree oil out tonight. Infact she keeps laying down on the floor even though she has just had a nap. Had better go and be a proper mummy and look after her

Will catch up on posts later.

must try this calendula cream!!

dps cousins gf had her baby saturday!!! dc now have another baby in the family to play with!! havent seen baby yet, but im sure im going to be getting all broody!!

hope everyone has a lovely day despite the rainy weather!!

AnnieOleHouseElf · 14/08/2007 13:21

Hi Girls,

Hope you are all having a great day!! Hope it's not as wet in Warwick as it is here in London!!

Pretty, hope the coughs clear up soon. I'm going to try the calendula cream as well I think, it sounds promising. Hope dd's eczema gets better. Congrats to your dps cousins gf!! Little babies always make me broody too!

HC, poor Sophie. Hope the tea tree oil does the trick. Well done on the car business. I would never have thought of looking on eBay for a car though! Might have a peek, as our old Clio is about to pack up, so we kinda need a new one.

Lysette, hope your coughs are better too. Naughty DH. I guess you haven't been baby-making then?? (You don't have to answer that if you don't want to!)

KZ, lol at your two in the bath! Sounds familiar! Kayley is ok, it flares up and down. Just have to keep slapping the cream on. She's so itchy, she could have her own Itchy and Scratchy show.

Right I best go and do stuff.

Annie

jacobandlysette · 14/08/2007 14:18

we got ours from korres - www.korres.com i think - it's a greek homeopathic company, with a shop on the kings road, but if you call the store they'll send stuff out to you.

pretty totally agree with you, but there was no way he was getting out of going particularly when he referred to it as "your social occasion" - like a first birthday party would be a top social occassion to someone that has not had a night out without dh in oooh pretty much a year - not that i don't love first birthday parties on the whole though!

annie we just don't seem to be both around at the right times! invariably i'm either shattered, got a cold or he is stuffed at work and not getting home till 3am. but we'll get there i guess! as HC remarked previously, maybe this isn't the right time for us to be getting pg anyway - which i do agree with to a certain extent - when we are yelling at each other i do wonder why i want to go through the whole pregnancy and related illness etc again! but then i forget how horrid he can be when i see jacob managing to go u pthe stairs on his own for the first time on sunday afternoon! all the way up - i did wonder what he was up to as he was very very quiet...

Wallace · 14/08/2007 20:01

twinkle - I saw the message before it was deleted. I can't think exactly where you are describing, but town A. would be handy for you for train to work.

Shall we start a new thread seeing as all the birthdays are done?

i HOPE THE MEET UP WENT WELL tHERE WAS NO WAY i COULD HAVE COME - TODAY WAS OUR FIRST DAY BACK AT SCHOOL! Ah bugger caps lock was on, never mind.

Better go, Leo is howling. He is getting a lot better at going to sleep though.

TheGoddessBlossom · 14/08/2007 20:08

hope meet up went well. Weather was pants here, Did think of you.

I've got the puke bug back again, I can't believe it. Feel like total crap. DH being a marvel though thank god.

Bleeuuuurgghhh....

kbaby · 14/08/2007 21:14

Ds decided to wake up last night for 2 hrs. He was wide awake and laughing. even medised didn?t knock him out. Normally he sits up and cries and then when you put the dummy in he just falls over and goes back to sleep. Hope he sleeps tonight.

Ds has just cooked me dinner and I queried if it was cooked as the texture of the chicken wasn?t right. I just looked at the packet and he only cooked them for half the original time. I will kill him if im ill all night!!!

Kayzed- Shes still the same. Caught her today trying to wash pen off the wall. I went mental as she had drawn on the walls last week and got sent on the step and then straight to bed so I thought she would?ve learnt her lesson. I find it odd how one minute they can be laughing and playing and then DD normally takes it too far and DS is crying because shes been too rough or hit him etc.

Hc ? I have never even heard about bidding for cars on ebay, what next houses! Hope you enjoy the car though.
Blos- Hope you are now better
And everyone who went to the meet up I hope you all had a nice time

Hi Girls
What a fab day, still buzzing too! REALLY lovely to meet you ladies and your families, and thanks Kayzed for the wonderful organisation I thought Chili was very tolerant in enduring ?ladies and babies? for a long time before a fellow lad turned up

All the lo?s were just as I had imagined them, (but even more gorgeous in RL, really) aaaaaw

Hope everyone got home okay. Emma screamed in the car for the first half hour of the journey back, she had failed to locate her dummy in the car seat (having just downed a bottle of milk), but we couldn?t stop as there were no services. Eventually though she stopped because? she had gone to sleep without it! There was a lot of very indignant tantrummy screeching beforehand though, so don?t think I?ll be trying cold turkey on the dummy regularly (anything for a quiet life).

Will catch up and post more tomorrow
Night ladies xxx

JeanieG · 14/08/2007 22:50

Hiya,

KZ-same here. They are all still wide awake and showing no signs of wanting to go to bed. How cute is Chili? Ross is delighted and has informed me that Chili is going to be his new best friend. Oh and by the way, he's planning on visiting Chili when you move back to OZ.

We all had a fab day here and it was lovely to meet you lovely people. The lo's all played so well together.

HC-hope everything is ok with the new car. I'm just about to sell mine and get a new one, very sad though as I love my clapped out little car.

Bloss-hope you are feeling not too bad. The lurgy is horrible. At least DH is doing his bit hey?

Am going to pack for my mini holiday now. Will be back on in a bit.

Speak soon,

Love

Jeanie

Sorry I didn't know about today CRAP

Ceebee74 · 15/08/2007 07:12

Hi everyone - this is just a quickie before I get ready for work.

We also had a fab day yesterday - it was SO lovely to meet the other 3 ladies, lo's and families. As First said, the babies are even more gorgeous and cute in RL! And Chili is just such a smiler

Also, it is nice of the other 3 to say how well-behaved they all were when in reality Josh's misdemeanours included pinching Abby's food and eating it, and then manhandling her to the floor several times making her cry - and his piece de resistance was to then pinch Emma's dummy right out of her mouth and put it in his own Everywhere we go these days I seem to end up apologising for Josh's behaviour!

Babalon - what a shame you missed it

Anyway must go - catch up with all your posts later x
