good morning everyone

Glorious weather again today, i have to wait in for a parcel though which is annoying, hopefully its here earlier rather than later although its supposed to be anytime before 6pm.

Had lovely day yesterday, dh was only working the morning so we met him and went out to a nearby village inn and had lunch than had a walk around the village in the sunshine Its one of the places we would like to move to so were scoping it out although dh lived there as a child and said it is great as theres lots of woodland and a country park nearby so great for kids so its definitely scored lots of points

babalon - good luck with your email - hope you get a positive response. how lucky having blackberries in your garden, pie sounds yummy

Hi maewest - nice to hear from you

bloss - fab birthday pics

hc - How awful at least with you losing weight you know it was just a faulty chair. i, on the other hand with all my weight to lose would feel it was me that caused it Did they not even offer you a free lunch for your troubles?

was wondering where pavlov was too

kz - poor roshi, she been having a terrible time with her teeth, hope it passes soon. is chi still not well either? meant to ask, what maclaren do you have? i want a lightweight buggy but dont know what to go for

have a lovely day everyone xx

TheGoddessBlossom · 10/08/2007 08:37

KZ - I use H's clothes for T but of course he is bigger than H was at the same age so the clothes of H's he does fit are winter ones, so struggling a bit whith what to put him esepcially PJs. Will have to buy a few bits methinks.

I think my boys are the spit of DH, with none of me at all in them! I was just the host carrier! Will take a close up of H. WHO by the way is going through a real "stage" at the moment, lots of adolescent huffing and puffing "It's not FAIR!!" type stuff, all very wearying. And then collapsing into proper tears if you turn the page of the book when he hasn't given permission etc.

Went out last night for dinner with the girls, all very civilised, I drove so no hangover today which is great. Get up too fricking early these days to have hangovers....

morning everyone!!!

had a really bad night last night!! juniors got a realy bad chesty cough and blocked nose! he woke around 2am(as i was going to bed) and didnt settle till early morning! i really need to start going to bed earlier too!

dds eczema is flaring up again! i was using a cream dps mum got from a ghanian shop to control it but after doing a bit of research on the cream im too suspicious about it. i hate watching her scratching, it used to be soo bad when she was younger!

dps gone away for wkend so im going to have to deal with junior being ill and still need to go into work, im hoping dps cousin will be able to look after junior with his chesty cough.

bloss- lovely pics, yea can see more of your dc resembling your dh!

i chatted to pav last week on a thread about tomatoe sauce, shes probably organising her wedding. koshka hasnt been on for such a long time hope shes ok.

im going to stay in today, dont want juniors cough to get worse.

hope everyone has a lovely day!x

Hi everyone,

Sleepless nights here too. Kayley seems to wake about 14 times a night, and fidgets and crawls round and pulls my hair and pokes my eyes and sits on my head... Drinks a little milk then scratches herself to bits, fidgets some more and then back to sleep clinging onto my ears... Have to slather on the cream at least twice a night to stop the scratching.

Pretty, know what you mean about the scratching! Kayley's cleared up using the 2.5% steroid cream, but you can't keep using that for more than a few days, so it's back to the 0.5% now, and it is getting worse again. Poor little things. Hope Junior is better soon too.

KZ, Lol at Chi's hissy fit! It's so funny how they get so dramatic over seemingly nothing, though of course to them it's probably the most important thing in the world at that moment! Bless.

Beadmum, your village sounds lovely! GOod luck with finding somewhere.]

HC, sue the bastards!!

Maewest, great to hear from you, Dom sounds like he's doing great!

Bloss, as ever, your boys are just edible!

Well I won't be vying for the Goddess crown. Attempted to make chocolate cake yesterday (just for something to do!) and while it tasted good, it was all soft and gooey in the middle, even though I left it in the oven for longer that it said. I blame my lack of weighing scales (just had to guess the amounts!!) and also lack of cake tin (used a glass bowl!!!)

Oh well!!!
I did however make a delicious coconut curry!!! Yum!!! From that Indian Food Made Easy series on the BBC.

Must go. Them mozzies are biting my feet like crazy today.

Annie

Well I've had a day straight out of Enid Blyton! A group of us usually do a walk or a playground/park plus picnic on a Friday morning, and we all went today to a girl's house who rents this MASSIVE house with huge garden, just stunning, all sort of ramshackle and gorgeous, beautiful over grown gardens, lots of little nooks with patios and tables and chairs, a huge blow up Thomas thing that inflates and the kids climb into it, I've never seen one like that before, chickens, and, best of all HORSES!!! Well Harry thought he had died and gone to heaven, we all sat around in the sunshine, Toby was an angel, it was just this perfect day!!

Twinklemegan · 10/08/2007 23:08

Hello everyone. I'm here to say a big hello and goodbye for a while. I have suffered a horrible onslaught at the hands of some really nasty Mumsnetters who have made some very upsetting accusations about me and my family. I can't quite believe I am so upset about things said on an internet forum, so for my own sanity I'm taking a break, maybe permanent.

Hope you all enjoy your meetup. Wallace can I get in touch with you when we're up in Scotland?

I may be back when I've calmed down, who knows?

xx

HumphreysCorner · 10/08/2007 23:09

Bloss-hope there was lots of gingerbeer to drink. Sounds heavenly, when are we all invited?

Still here at the mo HC. I'll probably be lurking and maybe I'll pop in here if I've got the willpower to stay away from the other threads. I still haven't posted any recent pics of Aidan for one thing.

xx

HumphreysCorner · 10/08/2007 23:28

Twinkle-have just read the thread in question. Heartless swines. Deffo don't let them win. And yes, we want to see some pics.

twinkle can't find the thread but can find ll's apologies? please don't go!

just quickly has anyone tried calendula cream on the excema (sp).

Twinklemegan · 11/08/2007 21:11

I've not quite flounced yet actually because people I count as friends on here were very nice to me last night. J&L - probably best not to find the thread - it wasn't pretty. LL's apology related to something else btw.

Sorry, you must all think I'm a big drama queen but I was so so upset last night. I'll probably lurk for a while and maybe post on a few choice threads with friendly faces.

Wallace · 11/08/2007 21:11

Don't go twinkle! Get in touch when you are up here, and we can have our own mini meet up

Wallace · 11/08/2007 21:12

LOL cross posted!

Wallace · 11/08/2007 21:12

Ceebee74 · 11/08/2007 21:52

Had a bit too much vino tonight

Am off now for our 'mini' holiday so hope everyone has a great weekend and will speak soon.
