ChasingSquirrels · 21/06/2007 20:22

well its just taken me half an hour to catch up on the old thread and I can't remember anything - so will just say hi and jump back in!

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 20:25

Tis why the roundup is good

OP posts:
Jas · 21/06/2007 20:26

Laughed at the round up. Will we only get one per thread from now on?

Going to play on Facebook

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 20:27

Maybe one every 500 or so posts?

OP posts:
ChasingSquirrels · 21/06/2007 20:29

just got the round up - another half hour reading that - lol - will be back

ChasingSquirrels · 21/06/2007 20:31

just pmsl at mine starting with me trying to keep up with the thread...and here I am again saying the same thing...

ChasingSquirrels · 21/06/2007 20:37

dh went to france last weekend to watch the le mans 24 hours, sans valid passport (he got it out just before he left and it expired earlier in the year, but he decided to chance it anyway). Got in ok as they don't look then was concerned about getting back in, but this was delayed by his bloody car breaking down! An extra day in france later and he got a verbal slapping from customs but they let him back in

I'm busy at work, so doing an extra day (well morning) for the next few weeks so will be in all week instead of just 4 days. And too busy at work to surf, hence my absense the last few days.

T is wearing pj's instead of sleepsuits (though they aren't abandoned) and seems soooooo grown up.

ds1 is having school visits as he starts in Sep and seems to be enjoying it, and he is reading!!!

Phoenix · 21/06/2007 20:44

Just adding me to this before i lose you

I prob won't get back on again tonight now.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2007 21:25

Ooh - new thread - always exciting.

Would my menu sound more up your street if I said beef stew, salmon or quiche?!
Pleased to hear that you'd be happy to eat it Jas .

Feeling all domestic goddessy as just made scones to take to friends tomorrow. Can't remember when (if ever) I last made scones. Tried the one made from the remnants of mixture and thankfully they are quite edible . Always best straight from the oven, but can't really do anything about that, so just hoping they keep well overnight. Will buy jam and cream to go on them in the morning. Wonder if I will be able to resist the cream myself .

mustrunmore · 21/06/2007 21:31

So, I read the round up before catching up on the thread, and it felt most odd

So, what can I remember to comment on?

Oh. My. God. Ceiling.

Flame, are you quite sure of your parentage? We are so alike that I can, sadly, relate to the hedgehog food comment! Must actually be related to each other.Except you'd be the favour-accepting side of the family, and I'd be the recluse BTW, would you be free for a bit if I convince dh to come your way for our hol?! If not, I might just aswell go to Southend... a beach is a beach to the kids!

Jas, how red then? Or did I skim over the detailed reply?
The 7 things a day fell by the wayside today; trip out and all that. And I did it in a bad way... tempted into a slush puppy because it was so hot, and a latte just because I could! Nice to only have one child with me, I must admit.

Macca, I did a slow 6km this morning and felt so fine, no mind wandering, could've done more except friend was due (and arrived 5 mins after I'd stopped running!), and did 22 mins this evening almost as focussed So, give me some specifics on what the pt is getting you to do. i'm interested.

Ds2 has decided that all our garden slides are way too small for him to bother with; he was up the ladder on the 9ft one today, then turning round to slide down backwards without a care in the world! so, there's me, at one point, trying to make sure he didnt stumble on the way up(I was already at the top) whilst stopping friends baby of simliar age from launching himself off the side, or down the slide unaided

Sorry we didnt get together csws. If its any consolation, that man I adore (who works there) wasnt there today The one who looks like a rougher version of dh!

mustrunmore · 21/06/2007 21:31

csws, if you ever stop bf, you're going to go into dairy overdrive and be sick for days

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2007 21:46

Oh yes, I have my menu planned already....

Pizza - those new ones from Pizza Hut that are advertised on TV with all the cheesy rolls round the outside.
Buttered maltloaf.
Tesco cheese muffins with lashings of anchor butter.
Brie and bacon hot baguette.
Bannoffee pie.
Cheesecake.
Chocolate eclairs/profiteroles.
Trifle.
Snickers bar.
Lime crusha milkshake (to remind me of my pregnancy!)
Lots of really yummy ice cream.
Milky bar.
Lindor chocs.

Actually, I've forgotten loads, will make sure I remember in time!

KelBelle · 21/06/2007 21:53

at ceiling Phoenix!!!! OMG!! Hope it gets sorted soon.

My friend has stood me up - said he is knackered!! what kind of excuse is that!! He wants me to go round Sunday but I dont know if I can be bothered with bloody men keep messing me about. SIGH!

Thanks for all your for divorce, hopefully I will feel ok once it all gets sorted out.

mustrunmore · 21/06/2007 21:56

Hey csws, that could almost be the contents of my larder
Got a random creation in the slow cooker BTW... using most of what we had left, other than the xmas pud!

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2007 21:58

But it's not 26th yet, so you're not allowed to have used it all!

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 22:08

Would I be free?!?!?! YES! As long as its not the MN picnic weekend.

The stew, salmon and quiche menu sounds lovely

Jas · 21/06/2007 22:12

I'm sat here with the reddest dye I could find on my hair. I'll let you know how red in another 10 mins (plus washing off time) and will try and sort out a picture tomorrow unless it looks so bad that I have to shave it all off

Jas · 21/06/2007 22:20

testing

Jas · 21/06/2007 22:20

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 22:24

lmao @ the pics!

OP posts:
Jas · 22/06/2007 07:20

I have red hair Not as red as I wanted, but noticably red at least. I will put a proper picture on that link once I am dressed and have batteries for my camera.

DS was up at 5 for no good reason. Still teething/has a cold. Difficult to tell which as the tooth I found last week seems to have disappeared.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/06/2007 07:59

Yes, cold (I assume) had us up early again this morning, despite only 1 hr nap yesterday. Poor thing must be knackered (as well as me!). Busy day today, so won't be around til late aft/early eve. Get your pic on in the next hour and I can see it before I go.

Flamesparrow · 22/06/2007 08:21

(CSWS - Boris has had an ongoing shit for a boyfriend, he upped and left for good, and MN did the "supportive" girl thing of saying what a w*nker he was, but she still wanted him back even with the cheating etc - she said something about the usual support from the vipers nest, and then cancelled her membership )

OP posts:
Jas · 22/06/2007 08:22

I did try csws.I have lots of pics of me looking old und ugly now. Not prepared to show any though. I need the flash to show colourwhich makes me look worse. I will try in daylight later(D'you think a bit of sunshine will make ma look young and beautiful?hmm])

Jas · 22/06/2007 08:45

old and haggard but with red hair.
