I have just re-read it and I dont get it? Seems ok to me. What things make it a fake?

trixymalixy · 04/06/2007 22:38

Plus was bidding on a really nice top on ebay and puter decided to shut itself down with no warning right at the crucial moment.

v. cute pics Wilkie btw

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 22:41

can't put my finger on it exactly, saying her peers called her 'docile' seemed odd, as did the elizabeth swan costume but like UD I didn't think it mattered.

Cheshire is a bit far for an eastern meet then!

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 22:42

Hi Trixy,

I missed the deadline for some polly pockets for dd, sooo annoying.

BerryPie · 04/06/2007 22:47

Thanks for the welcome, appreciate the plumped up cushions . Yes, I only have the one dd, quite enough for now thank you! I love being a mum, but have NO idea how people with twins cope.

And everyone's babies are gorgeous, have been admiring some lovely pics. Nowhere near as beautiful as my own princess, of course, but not bad . Maybe one of these days I'll get some pics up so you all get a chance to agree with me!

laughalot · 04/06/2007 22:51

Dragon might be a bit early for the pants took Aidan a while to get used to them.

Rgee just for you www.theentertainer.com.

Catch up tomorrow

Dragonhart · 04/06/2007 22:52

DH is always saying I am naive! Must be true!

Trixy- Hope he is asleep now. I almost gave Luke a great big smack on the head today I got so mad! I have always been so adamant that I wouldnt smack my children and it really scared me. Just this rage came over me. Then I looked at him and he was this dribbling crying little boy. Felt terrible. Definatly better to walk away! about the ebay thing. What an idiot!

laughalot · 04/06/2007 22:53

Shit with the link you will have to stick lightning mcqeen in the search button

2Happy · 05/06/2007 08:37

Darn it, keep forgetting to open notepad until part way through reading thread!
Smallone - I'm with the rest, you dh owes you big after that!
MrsC - ds1 is 2 whole years old on Monday where did the time go??
RGee - I hope you have Morten on as we speak, and that you all have a great meet up
Wilkie - TMI about J's todger (but how proud were all the January ds's fathers when they saw the size of their babies bits? And how crushed when it was pointed out that boys bits are always disproportionately large at birth, lol!)
DH - oh no, toilet roll!! I can just imagine! Sadly don't have to imagine 2 lo's whining at once as it happens all too often anyway! Sympathies, though, hope you get a better day today
Wilkie - at that thread! I agree with what so many others said, it doesn't matter if she's a troll and we're suckered, but it does matter if she's genuine and all she gets is cries of "trip trap". FGS, that Desiderata made her point, she should have left it at that not kept going on about it. If she truely believed the OP was a troll then continuing to post just gives fuel to the troll's thread, it doesn't make sense. I'm glad though that the outraged on her behalf posts outnumbered the troll posts.
Trixy - oh you really had a crap one, hope today is better. Could ds be growth spurting - they often do at 20w?
Berry - IKWYM about mums of twins! I used to think it was a nice idea, until i had kids then I thought OMG no!

Toddler group hell again today, can't wait...

Hi

Long time no post! Just thought I'd pop in and say hello on one of my rare quiet days (I hate being stuck in during the day so I'm usually out somewhere with Ben and then it's mayhem when the older 2 and DH are home from school/work)

Not much to report here really.....Ben's doing really well, he's almost 21 weeks now and a big boy (weighs 18lb+). We've not started weaning yet...I want to hold off until as near to 6 months as we can (only 5 weeks to go!). He's perfectly happy on 5 6oz bottles a day and sleeps for 12/13 hours at night so I'm in no hurry

We had a bit of a scare the week before last - he had a rash on his legs that didn't blanch when we pressed it with a glass. We rang NHS Direct for advice (he was perfectly well and happy other than the rash) and they told us to take him to A&E. He ended up staying in 4 nights on a drip while they worked out he didn't have anything nasty. We still don't know what caused the rash - which spread to his arms face and head while he was in hospital.

I'll try and post a bit more regularly, I do read the thread sometimes but wouldn't know where to start doing personals, you all chat so much I lose track of who's up to what!!

Hope you're all well

CarrotMisses · 05/06/2007 12:11

Loubie- how scary for you, thankgoodness they were ok

smallone · 05/06/2007 13:21

Loubie thats terrible I'm glad all is well now. It must have been terrifying! I'm also trying to hold off on the weaning til 26wks. dd is 20wks and am exclusive bf with 8oz bottle of ebm before bed (to give DH some daddy time)but she still has a 5am feed, I keep thinking she'll drop this but no sign so far! I'm quite excited about trying her on food but determined to wait til I think she wants it. Doesn't help that all around me seem to be starting early!

Loubie37 · 05/06/2007 15:06

smallone - I know just what you mean...I've got friends with babies younger than Ben who are already weaning and almost making me feel guilty for not weaning him yet, even though he's perfectly happy on just milk and sleeping through every night without fail from 8pm ish to 8:30 - 9am ish!! Having said that I've got 2 older children (15 and 13) and both of them were weaned by 11/12 weeks (because you did back in those days!) and I must say I'm very surprised Ben has held off this long...with him being so big I really did think I would have had to start weaning before now!!

CarrotMisses - thanks I'm a tad sad that he had to go through blood tests, drips and injections etc when he was healthy all along BUT would rather it be that way round than the other! At least they were erring on the side of caution and looking after him

2Happy · 05/06/2007 15:44

Loubie - long time! We've been wondering how you (and a few others MIA - if you're lurking, get posting!) are. Sorry to hear about Ben's scare, hope he's back to himself now
MrsC - carrot misses what??!
Small/Loubie - I'm holding off solids hopefully until a week or two before I go back to work (start of august). It's hard with ds2 being the youngest on the thread (since trinity has vanished, lol) that everyone does everything before us!!

Well I phoned the only camera shop in the area about the broken camera and he said they have to send them away to Glasgow who charge £50 an hour plus parts and said the camera's just not worth that much so we'll have to fork out for a new one. P!sses me off that we just bin perfectly good stuff so readily and never repair anything. Wth that in mind though, I figured I couldn't make matters worse by () er just opening it up and taking a look (cos I know so much about digital cameras ). Suffice to say that, while previously it at least switched on, now it doesn't even do that. It is now completely buggered. Oops .

Hello

Dragon- I personally would sort each age range in the following 'neutrals (vests etc) 'boys' and 'girls' then would put each age range in a plastic box with a lid but each category in bag etc labelled so if you wanted to get the neutral newborn stuff you would go to newborn box and pick up 1/2 bags labelled neutral etc also if you ever want to sell stuff makes it easy.

Smallone - glad dh settled dd and look forward to seeing some pics when you set your profile up

Mrsc- may look into CO for Ellie as she is such hard work they may be able to 'chill her out' a bit (going back to preschool after half term was a bit traumatic but she stayed for 2 hours and was then sick from crying )

Trixy - hoping things are better today

Berrypie - hope you straightened those cushions when you got up and again cant wait to see some pics

PCF - hows alex doing with the toilet now? Hope max is ok

2happy - pmsl at loo roll (sorry) and is ds1 having a party???

loubie - helloooo longtime no 'talk' glad you are ok and ben recovered must have been scary

Wilkie/rgee/vinrouge - humpf to busy meeting each other to talk on here today

LAL - hope aiden being a good boy today

I am doing a boot fair on sunday and thought of you when I have been pricing stuff I have washed/ironed everything and then bagged vests/sleepsuits up in clear bags so they dont get 'marked by fingers' and then newborn/0-3 clothes etc are all on hangers on a rail with clear bags over each outfit and labelled with shop, age and price how sad am I

Wilkie · 05/06/2007 17:00

EAH - I absolutely PMSL ROFL LOL at the last bit of your post. You are so so funny and I am certain have OCD

Loubie - hello mate sorry to hear you had a rough time of it with Ben being in hospital but agree with you better to be safe than sorry.

Well, our meet up was fab. I can happily report that RGee (don't tell her but she actually quiye young ) and Vino are lurvely ladies with even more lurvely babies. J was absolutely spoilt for choice and after mounting poor Ellen, made Pippa cry with his shrieking. Pippa and J had a little flirt though towards the end of the day so J had a conversation with me on the way home about how he was confused over who to pick. Throw Hattie (EAH) into the mix and I have one mixed up little boy

Back on later, must sort some washing out etc.

Hello to everyone I missed.

Is that sideways on PCF?? More pics? Has it just started?? Need more info please....

Loubie37 · 05/06/2007 17:48

Crikey E&H I can't believe how organised you are!!! I've set up an E-bay shop selling baby clothes/toys etc but I'm no where near as organised as you are!! I agree about the plastic boxes with lids on though, I've got loads stacked up in the garage (I daren't just leave them in bags in case mice get in )

Thanks for the warm welcome back everyone, I promise I'll try and get on more regularly now I've been wanting to come back for a while but was scared no one would talk to me

Loubie37 · 05/06/2007 17:51

Sorry PCF - our posts crossed. I don't know what to suggest really, but it does look very swollen and distended? He may have a hernia - I would definitely ring NHS Direct, for peace of mind if nothing else

Big hugs x
