ellieandhattie · 21/05/2007 19:03

that is so appropriate (sp) I think I may have to divorce mine before this thread has expired

RGee · 21/05/2007 19:06

My Dh is lovely [smug emoticon]. But he keeps threatening to do something to get on the 'AIBU' thread.

Will this come back to haunt me?

Right. Just off to get my tea that DH made after he put lo to bed and read her a story.....

theUrbanDryad · 21/05/2007 20:21

right there with ya EAH. on the verge of killing mine atm, so from his point of view, divorce would be preferable...

just had my BT phone bill through. for some reason best known to themselves, they want to charge me over sixty quid, instead of my normal £17.50. have been trying to get through to talk to someone for 2 hours now. dh did manage to speak to someone, but they hung up on him, after they told him they hadn't charged us for something which they clearly had.

am going to totally curse us now:

WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG???

theUrbanDryad · 21/05/2007 20:21

Shimmer - we stopped using the baby bath a couple of weeks ago and just lie Ellen in a shallow bath where she splashes about, prob much like Wilkie described. I've been given a bath support and used it today for the first time but not much of her body was in the water so I was worried she would get cold.

Rgee - RESPECT for 2 loads of washing!I did 2 today too, smells beautiful.

DH is asking how MN threads operate.....then asked how many times I log on during the day

Busy morning in the house for me then mum and baby group this afternoon. Internet hasn't been working until DH got home.

Almost forgetting - Ellen drank 6oz of formula today. Yippee!!! She had 4 and seemed hungry so I made her another 2. She is loving rolling over, haven't been able to to stop her, everytime I turn round she's on her tum!

MrsCarrot · 21/05/2007 21:30

Great pictures, UD, did you all have a good day?

We've got one of those bucket baths, our neighbour gave it to us and it's quite good, they sort of sit upright in it.

DH is watching jarhead, looks a load of crap to me, which is why I'm refreshing active convos, looking for something interesting...

laughalot · 21/05/2007 21:47

Great name for the thread

laughalot · 21/05/2007 21:52

2Happy / Wilkie - ROFL

ellieandhattie · 22/05/2007 08:20

Laughalot - I know how you feel I was so adament that Hattie would be our last but shes growing up so quickly and it really pulls my heartstrings to think I wont have another, we have had a serious chat about a 3rd but practically its not possible it would mean e and h sharing a room, buying a bigger car I'd have to work an extra day a week and my mum has said she'll only look after 2 children so if we were to have a 3rd we'd have to consider childcare options etc. Whats worse is 3 people I know are expecting in November and I know I'll be extra broody by then oh well I'll just have to accept it and hope my brother and his gf have babies sooner rather than later

RGee · 22/05/2007 08:40

Morning all

EAH - maybe another when the girls are a little bit older??
LaL - how did you decide to stop at 2? My dh said when lo was newborn never again, but I think he may be coming round. Problem is, I don't want her to be an only child, and would like c 3 year gap but I'm coming back to the age thing again as I would be approaching my late 30s then. Who knows what will happen.

Vino - well done to E on the formula! And rolling over too We're still waiting for lo to roll, but at least she seems to be enjoying being on her tummy a bit more and can actually lift her head off the play mat now!

Anybody doing anything exciting today? I'm off to work later to discuss what I'm going to do when I go back.

Hattie - can't believe you're back at work today. Hope it goes well - keep logging in

Nemo2007 · 22/05/2007 10:00

Morning all

Well to add to the fun in the Nemo household yesterday I had to do a pg test..luckily it was negative!! We will be having one more but of course with current situation and also the prospect of 4 under 4.4months scared the bejesus out of me..lol Have lost my voice today as well which is great..not and DS has his friend coming home from playgroup with him so can see lots of banging things to get attention from two impish 3yr olds..pmsl

laughalot and EAH I am always broody[obviously as have spent best part of past 4 yrs pg] so can empathise. Strangely enough with C this is the first time I havent been broody and been trying to work out if I feel complete or if it is just the general chaos of 3 under 3 1/2 that has drained any broodiness from me!!!

UD burloody BT on your behalf...and hope DH [not so dear] is behaving himself..you need to have THE chat with him.

Wilkie · 22/05/2007 10:07

Meant to say, I went to work yesterday and they have had to drop my salary by £2k ( they have set up a bonus scheme for me to top up my wages but a tad gutted. Never mind, they are being brilliant in every other way - exceptionally flexible with my days/hours etc. I was on a high wage for Lincoln so and we can still cope money-wise on a lower wage. I go back 20th August.

Shimmer - was thinking about F last night. Have you tried a Cranial Osteopath? J ALWAYS used to lay with his head to the left but since we took him to the CO he turns it equally. The CO picked up the stiffness without us even mentioning it TBH...

LL/EAH - about wanting more babies. I am lucky in that we have said we will have another, if it's a boy we'll try again but if it's a girl we will prob stick at 2. It is nice to have the option.

2Happy and I were bored last night so we went a bit mad on the link mentioned below. MrC - have you checked yours out yet???

Well I best go - we had a shite night, J woke at 2am and didn't go back to sleep until 3.30am - his new trick is just shouting which is what he sis continually for an hour and a half

Laters x

Wilkie · 22/05/2007 10:08

Nemo - x

Nemo2007 · 22/05/2007 10:16

wilkie c does the shouting so was sat in her room from2.40-4.15am because H was asleep..lol

2Happy · 22/05/2007 12:45

Popped into work this am to discuss return to work. Will be going back either last week July of first week august - it seems so soon

Nemo - 4 under 4.4....yikes!

Rgee hello lady howz you and pippa ?

Eah we are the same we would probably have to move, get a new car and so on if we had another, when lauren was born and we were awake day and night as you are when you have a newborn I got a bin liner and threw all my maternity clothes in the bin I was that stressed and I can remember saying to wayne never ever am I doing this again. I think my problem is when they start to get a bit more independant I start to get broody I was like that with aidan.

Mrs c great pic on the link

laughalot · 22/05/2007 13:21

Forgot to say VINO is it your dh/dp who is a everton fan could have got that totally wrong I know someones partner is who is it ?

MrsCarrot · 22/05/2007 14:05

Ladies! Ahem, DH has much slimmer thighs

Shimmer · 22/05/2007 14:43

Afternoon ladies. Thanks for the stuff on baths. We did Freddie's bath in the big bath for the first time last night and it went fine. He does love splashing! Might get that seat when he's a bit more stable sitting up himself.

Love the pictures of us all! Wilkie you made me a smiley cookie!! How fabulous

Ummm... just been sampling those biscuits with cadbury's chocolate... Pretty good (obviously, i mean they couldn't really go far wrong could they?!?)though i think i still prefer plain choclate digestives(the biscuit of champions! IMO...)

Wilkie it wasn't Freddie with the flat head. I can't remember who it was now either

Those of you with LOs eating already... have you given them any finger foods yet, or just purees?

I know someone said a while ago that their LO kept rolling onto their front and then shouting and having to be rolled back. Lizz? Was that you? Well Freddie's been doing that ALL DAY today! He has been doing it on and off for a while. But now as soon as he goes down he's rolling over, but doesn't really like it on his tummy for very long so screams until i roll him back over

Booked out summer holiday today Just a week in the lake district (cos we spent all our money in Hong Kong!) but we got a gorgeous looking cottage in early September for not very much at all. Can't wait

ellieandhattie · 22/05/2007 15:02

mmm very that no pics on other thread but hard to get a picture from names

Lizzzombie · 22/05/2007 15:03

I've just been to Eastbourne to visit (my) the house again! To show my Mum round. I love it I love it I love it! And so does she. Now all we need is the flipping solicitor to pull her finger out. Grr.
I was getting a manicure done yesterday, and guess who was in the chair next to me!!? Jordan! Very heavily pregnant. Looking very normal, eating normal food etc. I was a div and could not thing of one thing to say to her. Peter popped in looking for her later on too, with a camera man behind him, so i guess he is a bit better now.
Brighton may be full of famous people I can hob nob with (!?!?!) but Eastbourne is SO much nicer! I am So happy!...but a little bit tiered from only getting to sleep at 4am this morning! yawn....x

hattie2 · 22/05/2007 15:03

It's me with the flat head - or rather it's me with the LO with the flat head! Interesting about the CO wilkie - we've got an appt with the hosp in a couple of weeks but wouldn't hurt to try a couple of sessions in the meantime.

I'm very jealous of all you ladies out in the sunshine today (those in the SE at least, it's v sunny here) as I'm stuck in the office . Not too bad being back actually. nice to catch up with people etc but I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon! Oh, and only one phone call from DH so far ....
