Evening

2happy our camera is back in to be reapaired for the 2nd time since september its so flippin annoying isnt it

Rgee I think lightening mcqueen is from 'disney cars' film (we havent seen that one yet current favourite in this house is little mermaid or her 'singing' dvd which is full of 3 year olds doing action songs like 'if your happy and you know it' etc etc)

Wilkie- cute cute cute!!

LAL - well done on maintaining the spinning v.impressed

Jodie- like everyone else wouldnt have had you down as mconalds/pizza person but hope everything goes well with the operation it sounds as if dd taking it al in her stride

Vino - super impressed woth your journey well done

Lizz I know you dont have net access at the mo but am hoping that means you are unpacked

Welcome to the newbies glad to 'meet' you and hope RGEE plumped up the cushions n atidy and organised manner (I am the January thread tidy/cleaning freak)

Wilkie · 04/06/2007 20:47

RGee - unbelievably the Butternut Squash and Pear were mixed together (Annabel Karmel recipe) and he nom nomed the lot. Strange lad.

He is prepared, his eyebrows are tweezered, aftershave on but I have made him promise not to let them see his willy cos it would scar the poor girlies for life (it really is impressively humongous!)

Wilkie · 04/06/2007 20:48

EAH - RGee wrapped the cushions in see through plastic before plumping them (you weird neat fresk...)

I got the glasses out of the cupboard neatly labeled 'Glasses'

smallone · 04/06/2007 21:08

Hello! sorry for disappearing but have had nightmare weekend. dd has horrid cold so not getting a vast amount of sleep and to top it all dh has been on a stag weekend in edinburgh. his flight was delayed yesterday so he couldn't get the connecting bus service so I had to drive 40 odd miles to pick him up at midnight last night. aaaggghhh!

RGee · 04/06/2007 21:11

The laminated sign on the cupboard was that Wilkie? Good job EAH got to this house first, we'd not be able to find a thing!

EAH - thanks for the Lightening McQueen placing. I have seen Cars too - saw it when lo was about 3 weeks old and it made me cry !! It's a good film. Don't think I'll ever be able to watch it again without thinking about how emotional I was!

RGee · 04/06/2007 21:13

Smallone - Xposts. Sounds like your DH owes you big time for that.

Hope you all get a good night's sleep tonight. I'm off to bed soon. Exciting day tomorrow an' all that

smallone · 04/06/2007 21:13

Wilkie - was just wondering where on earth these photos were that you were talking about but have found them now

a verrry cute little man you have there!

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 21:15

Rgee, I'm quite good with flower names normally but I'm not sure what these are. They're like a cross between Gladioli and Hyacinths (sp?) in three gorgeous shades of lilac, white and sort of cream? Poor dh!

Very at your meet up tomorrow, speaking of which, Jodie, I guess I'm nearest to you?
I wouldn't mind coming towards Cambridge, in fact it might be a good midway for any Londoners, are any of us in London, Shimmer, are you in London?

Hello Berry I lurked for ages before jumping in too, it's funny to think people other than the posters might be reading this, like we're all in a room with you looking in the window!

When is your ds1's birthday, 2happy? Ours are all crammed in around November so we're birthday free for a year, well, apart from LO now!

ellieandhattie · 04/06/2007 21:16

smallone - you cant say that about wilkies little man (my future son in law) without seeing how pretty his future wife is (look at my pics pretty pretty please!!!!!!) and sounds as if dh owes you big time

smallone · 04/06/2007 21:17

gonna have to dash off again now coz I can hear dd giving daddy a hard time so not easy to concentrate on my baby-free time!

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 21:20

ooh, hello smallone too

Wilkie!! Those photos are seriously cute, I love that expression and the chubby knees. Very handsome.

Dragonhart · 04/06/2007 21:22

Thanks for the info on CO Carrot, trixy and Wilkie. Very interestion that adults can have it too as I thought it was for babies. Might send DH and see if his whinging stops!

Wilkie- Fingers crossed for the sleeping though! And congratulations on the home page thread.

Rgee- Any pics of the new hair cut!? Well done to P for rolling over. Ruth has done it afew times but doesnt seem to like it so has stopped. She is more interested in sitting up and keeps straining to do sit-ups. Her face goes bright red.

Vino- Glad to train trip went well. Ruth gets mad when I try to feed her and there is anything touching her feet she kicks like mad then starts trying to pull away with my nipple in her mouth! Ouch!

Jodie- your little girl sounds really brave. Must be really scary for you too. Sounds like she packed in as many things in the weekend as possible! And at E being that heavy! Glad he is doing so well.

Carrot- Poor DH! I told my DH when we got married that if he bought me flowers for no reason, I would assume he had a guilty secret. I am just not a flowers person. My mum loves getting flowers and is always buying me them but they are just a pain imo (does that sound really ungrateful?)

Berrypie - Welcome!

EAH- Need some tips on packing clothes away. I now have boys, girls and unisex in all the first sizes to pack away as well as all of Lukes stuff since then. It's a nightmare! How do you organise yours?

smallone- Hope you had a better day today.

Luke is doing really well with the potty training. Only one tiny accident when he was having a tantrum and I couldnt understand him saying wee wee! He is really good when he is naked but is struggling a bit with pants, and had a few leaks onto them before he realised. I think they feel too much like nappies with his bits all covered up. He has got better though and told me most of the time when he had them on.

Would say that I feel really proud of him but he has been a monster today! When I went into his room this morning, I realised that I had left a toilet roll in there and it was everywhere shreaded at first, then big long bits like streamers! He started crying then and didnt stop whinging/crying til about 12. At one point, Ruth was screaming, Luke was trying to scream louder and I was sat there not knowing whether to laugh or cry!

smallone · 04/06/2007 21:24

eah a couple of little sweeties also. I can see my dd has some competition! DH has managed to quieten her down so I think I'll take advantage and go to bed early - as some of you have said he owes me!

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 21:41

Dragon- I'd forgotten about that, I went today and it was AMAZING, just as he seemed to be doing nothing, my tailbone started sort of fizzing, really weird feeling.

I think it was to do with the scar tissue being manipulated which allows the spinal fluid to run properly?

We have had plenty of rooms 'decorated' with toilet tissue too

Dragonhart · 04/06/2007 21:44

How do you find a good one Carrot? Is there a guild or something? Or is it better to get one someone recomends to you?

Wilkie · 04/06/2007 21:54

Dragon - link here

I was extremely technical and looked for the most professional looking advert in the yellow pages

If it is for LO then look for a CO that deals with Birth Trauma. Worth ringing up beforehand for a chat too which is what we did.

HTH

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 21:55

I'd go by recommendation but there is a national osteopathic register I think, you could google it for your area?

Apointments with my one are like gold dust, he's only in on a monday, think he works somewhere else the rest of the week.

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 21:58

or Wilkie's link

Dragonhart · 04/06/2007 21:58

Cheers for the link. Might ask around to see if anyone has tried one around here.

Not for Ruth as she is a little angel

For DH who after a childhood of Rugby is pretty battered! Might help all the niggles.

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 21:59

Wilkie- that thread about the girl is awful isn't it? I do think the op sounds a bit strange but it's worse to upset a genuine person surely, horrible if she's reading that in tears.

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 22:00

What county are you, Dragon?

Wilkie · 04/06/2007 22:03

MrsCarrot - they make me so bloody angry. How dare people accuse people of being trolls. So what is she was. It sounds bloody genuine to me. No wonder people are scared to post.

Anyone interested the link is here

MrsCarrot · 04/06/2007 22:07

I know, even if you suspect it, it must be worse to accuse a genuinely upset person than not 'out' a troll.

I did think various things about it were odd, but not enough to risk causing more upset to upset, excuse pun...

theUrbanDryad · 04/06/2007 22:21

i also thought there were some odd things about that post, and i do have to admit the "Troll" alarm bells were ringing, but I didn't say anything because i didn't think it mattered whether she was a troll or not!

anyway, welcome newbies. now, say some nice things about my new piccies!

Wilkie - your little man is sooooo cute! he;s starting to look like you too! love his chubby knees...

good luck for the meet up tomorrow...report back asap!

Dragonhart · 04/06/2007 22:22

Just read it. TBH I had to google what a troll was!

I am in Warrington Cheshire Carrot.
