Morning all - new thread as the old one's about to hit the 1000 posts limit.

Not so great this morning - feel like an egg-bound chicken IYSWIM. Grrr - especially as I managed to avoid it all the way through pregnancy. And not sure if there's anything I can take for it while I'm feeding?

glad to see you more positive today Mossie!

Rosylily · 24/04/2007 11:53

Fox how come you can eat all that green and blacks and you've lost loads of weight!
I want to lose loads of weight already!

Piffle · 24/04/2007 11:55

My impressive weight loss has stopped bang on the weight i was before I got pregnant.
Although my boobs weigh more so I guess technically I can claim, to be lighter
Now if were to give up the haagen das and the odd guinness and the cake...

Maybe size 0 beckons
HAHAHAHA

divastrop · 24/04/2007 12:07

mossie-glad youre feeling better.when i first gave ds1 a dummy,i wodered how i would know if he was hungry

i took Elsie to the doctors,he said having the runs isnt a problem as long as shes feedinf ok,but shes got a temperature again so she must have yet another bug.
he also said her nappy rash is fine and just use sudocrem.i hate that stuff, its too thick.anyeay, her bum is spotty and bleeding and it looks like thrush to me.

im getting fed up with taking my babies to the doctors and them assuming im being paranoid that they have a chest infection or something.all i get is 'its understanable you are going to worry more after what (dd2) went through'

i felt like saying 'look, ive brought my baby here cos shes had the shits for 12 days and her arse is bleeding.i know shes not seriously ill, however, she is in pain and i would like somthing to help her if you dont mind!!'

sorry for ranting

rosy-sorry youre having a bad day.i thought that book brought about permanent changes,i didnt realise you had to keep going back to it.

Elsie had a feed at 6.30 last night, then stayed awake untill 8.30 when she had 1oz then fell asleep, and slept till 1.30am.it would have been great but for the fact that dd2 was awake from 11pm-1am.oh well.

LunarSea · 24/04/2007 12:11

diva - with ds1 we used Metanium ointment for nappy rash, which seemed to do a much better job of healing it than sudocrem did. Not sure if it's something you'll have already tried?

I think things are on the up for us with sleeping.
Deanna slept from 9pm to 4.30am then from 5 to 8.30.Shes slept about 6-7 hours every night this week.
We go to choose her pictures at the photo studio today,I cant wait, will post them here when I can scan them in

divastrop · 24/04/2007 12:22

lunar-ive been using bepanthen which is brilliant normally(i think its similar to metanium)but cos she keeps pooing, its not clearing up.i might just put some canesten on anyway,i dont think it can hurt?

at those who are loosing weight.i'm getting my mirena coil replaced with a copper one on monday as my bloods were normal,so hopefully i might shed a few pounds after thats out.and maybe i'll stop feeling so paranoid and crappy as well.

Rosylily · 24/04/2007 12:31

Diva, I think the book and cd has had a permanent effect on me but I didn't complete all the excercises fully so i have a nagging urge to go back to it!
Bepanthem (sp) is a great cream I found.

Shanks look forward to see your pictures. I want to get some professional photos of the children too.
I'm a wreck. Better get dressed.....sigh

divastrop · 24/04/2007 12:31

shanks-i was just noseying at your profile and noticed you are reading the latest sophie kinsella book-is it any good?did you read the first 4?

Rosylily · 24/04/2007 12:32

oh, x posts Diva, great minds think alike

shanks313 · 24/04/2007 12:36

diva- the book is great, just like the others in humour.I have read the abroad and married ones.My DH got me the baby one as a gift from Deanna lol.The best bit is when she goes for her 20 week scan and wants to know the sex....I wont spoil it for anyone.

kittyhas6 · 24/04/2007 13:08

Hopefully I've put up pic of all of the monkeys!

Diva, I now wait until I go to docs and I say " I've waited the 2 weeks, it's not better please can I have x,y or z. I'm not fussing. I know what's normal and this isn't"

Rosylily · 24/04/2007 13:40

Lovely Kitty, what a happy bunch apart from Ronnie who doesn't look in the mood for posing! They are gorgeous kids.

kiwibella · 24/04/2007 14:19

you have a gorgeous bunch there Kitty! Bless Ronnie

Hope that you are able to clear up Monti's belly, Fox.

Mossie - it's great when things you try have a positive effect and how this helps to brighten your mood!

Think I will drop by the library and see if I can find a copy of the Baby Whisperer. Any clues will help.

Diva / Rosy - what is the book you two are talking about?

I've also read the Shopaholic series - I think I am too much like her (although I didn't get my happily-ever-after with bags of moolah). I would like to read the next installment. That's a tease Shanks!

Rosylily · 24/04/2007 14:39

Kiwi- it's How to change your life in 7 days by Paul McKenna together with cd which hypnotises you into feeling great they are only about a fiver on amazon.
Text me your address on 07783131853 and i'll send you my baby whisperer book. i'm a confirmed accidental parent so I give up on it! Now if it had a hypnotic cd with it, which brainwashes you into genius parenting...that would suit me better!

divastrop · 24/04/2007 16:50

i paid a tenner for it in smiths.it really annoys me that im not allowed to have a flippin debit card.

i was meant to read chapter 2 today but i didnt get a chance.

whats an accidental parent?

im not going to get that sophie kinsella book till it comes out in paperback as i tend to trash books and i dont like to spend a fortune.

just remembered theres football on tonight so i will get a chance to read my book

kittyhas6 · 24/04/2007 18:59

I ordered it off ebay for £6.00. Soon I will be a transformed woman.

ARGHH the baby is having a really screamy day today. He feeds constantly, falls aslepp, I put him down and 5 mins later he wakes up screaming.
DD3 is on the kitchen table throwing cutlery round the kitchen.
Dd2 is running round like she's on speed hugging people just that little bit toooo hard.
Dd1 is doing her best to annoy dd2.
Ds2 has just come home and he will annoy everyone!
Ds1's alright

foxcub · 24/04/2007 20:14

Kitty - BTW your kids are gorgeous - can see why you had six!!

Rosy - I was ill for 3 weeks after Monti's birth and completely lost my appetite. Reckon my stomach shrunk as I only eat really healthy food atm (lots of slad, greens, oily fish, beetroot, 1 bar ofg green and blacks a day...). Not eating wheat and my tummy has shrunk - still podgy but a lot better than B4 I was preg!!! reckon wheat bloats me out.

GP gave me anti bacterial cream for Monti's yum - its infected. I said "no anti biotics please" - meaning no oral Abs so he's given me cream which is not an AB - whereas I wanted an AB cream.

Note to self: Must learn to talk properley

Diva - Montis bum is like Elsie's spotty and bleeding. Vaseline has helped but not cured it - let me know if the canesten helps Elsie's cos I might try it too

TheBlonde - how is your breast thrush now??? Is it responding to Daktarin?

LaidbackinEngland · 24/04/2007 20:14

Rosy I'm here ... Have been busy visiting friends and having family visit , oh yeah.... and breastfeeding

Mossie, second (or third) everything kitty said about motherhood. I don't read anything about how it should be done ... just do what feels right.

Everyones kids look lovely - love your pics Kitty.

Decided to rent in Devon for a while to see if we like it .... so back down there in 2 weeks to find a house to rent. DH has just got a cushy job down there for 15 minutes a day... thats my kind of work

foxcub · 24/04/2007 20:15

"bum" not "yum". I mean his bum is yum IFKWIM

LaidbackinEngland · 24/04/2007 20:15

Actually, there is a job I could do in 15 minutes. but I think I might be a bit saggy for it IYKWIM

foxcub · 24/04/2007 20:16

laidback - was just thinking the same thing

...dirty cow

Rosylily · 24/04/2007 21:00

fnar, fnar

Rosylily · 24/04/2007 21:10

Diva it's not as cheap by the time you pay postage. Accidental parent is when you make it up as you go along rather than following the baby whisperer

Laidback that all sounds very promising for further laidbackness

Fox I think I shall switch to your diet well, not the sick loss of appetite bit, but all the healthy food including green and blacks every day, ooh and beetroot (yum)...failing that I'll get Paul mckenna's hypnosis book and cd about losing weight not that I'm a lazy cow who wants instant gratification or anything

Rosylily · 24/04/2007 21:13

Actually I don't need to lose weight, I just need to be hypnotised into thinking I'm gorgeous and voluptuous as I am...problem solved then!
