Morning all - new thread as the old one's about to hit the 1000 posts limit.

Not so great this morning - feel like an egg-bound chicken IYSWIM. Grrr - especially as I managed to avoid it all the way through pregnancy. And not sure if there's anything I can take for it while I'm feeding?

Well. These babies make you out to be a liar, don't they? Bertie seems a bit better now, he is still snuffling but has had two feeds today, still not great for half three but they have been proper feeds, rather than just suckling on the nipple type feeds.

He's round at mil's now while I walk the dogs and have a quick tidy, so I thought I'd come on here.

Baby clinic was cancelled so I don't know how much weight he's put on, will go next week.

Hello Newmum24, what is your ds called? For cradle cap, we rubbed Bertie's hair in olive oil, left it on for about quarter of an hour and then washed it off just with water, it seems much better now. But having said that it wasn't serious cradle cap, just more like bad dandruff!

Right northern lasses we need to sort out our meet up. What about Wigan, how is that for you both? Is there anyone else other than me, Diva & Morocco?

Tomorrow I am taking Bertie on the train for the first time, we're going to Liverpool to get him registered (was meant to happen ages ago - long story)... will let you know how I get on!!

Right off to walk these pooches and wash a few nappies - now Bertie isn't so much Gollum, I'm back saving the planet - lol! - saving my pocket more like!!

kittyhas6 · 17/05/2007 17:14

Hi newmum

I wish we could ALL get to meet up sometime. It feels odd having such lovely chats with people that I might not meet .

Hey Ronaldo had a quick feed at 11pm last night and slept through till 4.30 hooooorrrrraaaaayyyyy.

He's hardly slept today though

kittyhas6 · 17/05/2007 17:16

Sorry Mossie, meant to say that bertie is snuffly and snotty. Ronaldo is too. It's a right pain when they're so little. When dd2 was newborn her cold was so bad that she had to sleep almost upright, propped up on pillows next to me. She snored so much it was like sleeping next to the elephant man .

Mossie · 17/05/2007 17:17

Kitty one day when Bertie is older I'll come to Brighton again, haven't been for years and it's so lovely down by the old pier! Would love to meet you and your brood!

spongecake · 17/05/2007 17:32

dp has to sort out snotty nose on baby, i just retch at the thought.
we are moving soon, so no good trying to make friends round here, so do feel a bit isolated

foxcub · 17/05/2007 17:44

Kitty - we'll come to Brighton too - as soon as it gets hot again

Mossie did you get in trouble for not registering Bertie within 6 weeks? I got all paranoid and Dh rushed and did it the day before the deadline . BTW don't worry if Berties doesn't poo - DD didn't poo for 3 weeks once - its nromal - just meanas they're using every bit of the breast milk up and there is no waste. BTW why don't you get the LLL woman down again - its common for mums to see them several times before it gets sorted. (Well I needed to anyway, with DS1 and with Monti)

NewMum24 - Your DS is two days older than my DS Your description of your son is identical to my son Monti - they'd be at the same stage

Well Monti is getting more demanding - wants to be held up so he can nose round all day

Took him out in the new Phil and Teds buggy. he can sleep in it but he hates it when he's awake as the cot doesn't allow him to see much - so he yowled all the way home from school, - very stressful (and made me growl the kids as I got all hot and stressed). I love the buggy though - it is wonderful

foxcub · 17/05/2007 17:45

Shanks - where abouts are u? We're not really in London you know (she says with a fake country accent)

foxcub · 17/05/2007 17:47

Kiwi I'm so sorry I missed you off the list - I did it really quickly as Monti was screaching, so sorry about that. Glad you can come - shall we do the Friday then?

foxcub · 17/05/2007 17:47

BTW my house is a tip

Mossie · 17/05/2007 18:10

Foxy he is still within his six week deadline, he was only five weeks old yesterday. I wanted to register him early but because he was born in Liverpool I couldn't register him at St Helens, and the waiting list for Liverpool is really long!

Am going to see my LLL woman again on Tuesday, there are still a few issues I want to get sorted out, but I feel a lot more relaxed about things now.

Spongecake where are you moving to?

muppethasakitten · 17/05/2007 18:33

welcome newmum24 - your lo is 1 day older than my ds2 and like foxy says, he sounds really similar to Sam. So sorry you tore so badly... i had a 2nd degree tear this time and i thought that was bad enough!

Foxy - when is the meet up? I'm near guildford so it's do-able to you... although i hate driving in London... are you richmond way?

LunarSea · 17/05/2007 18:51

We're going to need a new thread very soon - almost at the 1000 posts limit on this one.

Mossie · 17/05/2007 18:55

Crikey!! Who can think of a funny, witty, yet non-offensive title?

How about March 07 - it's May now, so tell me again when do they start sleeping for longer than 2 hours??

kittyhas6 · 17/05/2007 19:09

I think it should mention something about the very important medicinal tipple in the evening

kiwibella · 17/05/2007 20:05

how about here

No worries Fox... we'd still like to come. Our house is a tip too (and there's only one under 10).

kiwibella · 17/05/2007 20:15

and... Kate wasn't registered within the six week deadline. We hesitantly went to the BDM and waited nervously for our telling off - but they didn't say anything.

Shrinkinglily · 17/05/2007 20:28

newmum, ouch 4th degree you poor thing! Sounds like your ds is a great size now, and you say you are small, is your dp tall?

Well you sneaks meeting up, that's it! I want piccys, and afterwards rundown of every minute detail of the day.

Funeral was very sad today - I hate funerals, bloody sad Hasan was holding his head up but then he head butted my collar bone in the middle of it and howled, so then it was really obvious when I plugged him in and he was suddenly quiet.

shanks313 · 17/05/2007 21:18

foxcub-Im in Berkshire near Ascot

foxcub · 17/05/2007 22:06

Shanks/Muppet - I'm in Richmond - very close to M3, M4 and M25 - no need to venture into London

sazzybee · 17/05/2007 22:10

Get thee to the other thread before this runs out! I might come by train - I can get the overground to Richmond.
