Definitely no more for us as dh had the snip when Ethan was a few weeks old.

Been busy with tidying, washing, dishwashing, making endless food for my 2 constantly starving children lol, you'd thinkn I never fed them the way they carry on and Ethan is the same as well actually lol so make that 3 .

Hope to catch those on msn later, should be on soonish.

JodieG1 · 04/04/2007 20:02

Just reading some of old thread

Ethan has been in 6-9 month babygrows for a while now lol, clothes are 3-6 though. I love his chubby little legs

Wilkie - re the feeding, maybe the 3ozs are enough for him at the moment? As long as he's still happy, lively, brighteyed etc then he is getting enough milk. I wouldn't worry too much about counting what he has but go on how he looks and how he acts I bet bf babies go through periods of taking less milk but we just don't know it.

Hello a nice shiney new thread sorry no personals taken me ages to catch up had the nightmare of nightmare days today and this is the first time I have sat down since 8.45 this morning. Tried to get Ellie sandals to go over her toe but couldnt get any at tesco/matalan or any shops that were out of town so had to go to town forgot the double buggy she couldnt walk so had to go in Hatties pushchair and I had to carry Hattie who then decided to do a really stinky all over her back poo and scream because she was hungary. Got back to the car and the fu**king thing wouldnt start. The aa were going to be 45 minutes so my brother came and rescued me by bringng me a carton of aptamil and a disposable sterile bottle and took Ellie back to mine and the only thing wrong with the car was one wire had come loose. That is a snippet of the day about 10 other things went wrong but tomorrow is a new day so going to try and forget today!

Kat I love newcastle was there in september last year

ellieandhattieandchocolate · 04/04/2007 20:14

Wilkie Hattie was having 5 x 5oz bottles (25oz a day) from today (she is a week older than J if I remember correctly) she has upped to 6 x 5oz so think his overall milk intake is very similar to Hatties previous milk

CarrotAteAllTheEggs · 04/04/2007 20:33

Laughalot - Sounds lovely, I'm thinking of having just white. It's funny isn't it, my MIL was exactly the same about lilies, mind you she winced every time I wore black as well, as of course THAT was only for funerals too.

Does anyone know if there's any reason why I can't dry DS' hair with a hairdryer on the cool setting?

He just has so much of it (see pics!) that it is so difficult to get it dry with just a towel!!

JodieG1 · 04/04/2007 22:19

Aww trixy he's gorgeous My ds2 has the same sort of hair on profile but I just towel dry and then leave it to dry on it's own, doesn't really take that long.

hiya all - EAH for you that sounds like a nightmare day! bless your brother though...your family sound great!

my wedding bouquet consisted of roses and gypsophelia and some greenery type stuff. MIL also did all the buttonholes (and she had to get up at 5 in the morning to do it, you know, a fact she used to remind me of at regular intervals!) DH had an orchid as did his best man, my dad's buttonhole was a rose from my bouquet. can't remember what my mum had. some sort of lilly i think. my bouquet was lovely - i just still feel a bit cheated by our wedding because it was such a compromise between what everyone else wanted, what DH and i wanted sort of got shunted by the wayside. i love being married, but getting married was a nightmare!! carrot, hope you have better luck than we did!

trixymalixy · 04/04/2007 23:20

Jodie, your Lo is gorgeous too!!

The main problem is that DS has a realy bad rash around his neck at the back which the doctor thinks is due to it being moist due to the folds of skin there and might be being aggravted by his long hair, so we've to try and make sure we dry it well.

I had lilies for my wedding bouquet (can be seen on my profile!), and my gran said she thought they were funeral flowers!! Just do what you want!! My first choice was lily of the valley, but they were out of season when i got married.

WilkieBarEasterEgg · 05/04/2007 07:29

Trixy - have you tried putting vaseline on the rash to act as a barrier?? I do this underneath Jacob's chin and on his neck from where he is sick (due to reflux) a lot during the day and it works well.

Personally, I wouldn't see any reason not to blow dry it on the cool setting if it doesn't upset him or maybe trim it a little where the rash is most aggravated???.

Great night last night after a shakey start - slept until 4.45am and DH did that feed bless him so I got a full night's sleep!!! Whoo!!!!

2Happy - think you are going to have to start looking at the geometric centre (?) for us all now that we have a lot of names on our list....

2HappyEaster · 05/04/2007 08:12

Did I ever mention how crap my geography is??! Seriously...on that list I know where Newcastle, Leeds, London, Glasgow and Cambridge are. I actually don't know where the rest are!!! I'm so crap! However, I will take up the challenge - even if it's just because I hope I might learn where the other places are and improve my geography a little, lol! Leave it with me....

Ds1 was singing to himself until 8.30 last night - all I could hear down monitor was "all day long, all day long" (from teh wheels on the bus). SO cute. Then he suddenly woke up again suddenly at 9.30 shouting "green tractor!"... I wonder what he was dreaming about

Great night, Wilkie...a full night's sleep! Hope J is more settled today.
Trixy - second vaseline, or I use emulsifying ointment as a good barrier cream
DH - have a good easter at il's
carrot -I had callalillies (?sp) and roses in my bouquet. Had the advantage over conventional lillies of no smell and they don't have the staining pollen like the lillies do, and the flowers were a lot smaller so better in a bouquet.

Well being a travel agent I think the midlands is the most central trixy in glasgow and those down south have a longish way to travel it takes us about 3 and a half hours to get from nottingham down to london that is if the traffic is ok.........
