gingeme, congrats on the pregnancy, you barve thing, you.

swizzler - yeah, fingers crossed eh? lol but it doesnt really bother me any more, i just go into automatic "tired but hey-ho" mode

BENDYB · 15/05/2007 13:55

oh right wuzz, sounds nasty, glad your feelin bit better now though.
you will have to post some pics of anna, lurve seeing all the bubbas!
i'm in the middle of making another montage of kai at the mo, will post it later.

no ideas on dates for meet up, i will def try & come though! most days are ok for me.

Mellin · 16/05/2007 03:51

Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts ladies. I'll always be glad that dd and I got to spend time with my nan on this trip before she died.

We are having lovely warm and sunny weather in Sydney, considering it is late autumn. I have been out with the pram everyday which will hopefully make up for all the eating out I am indulging in whilst here . It's sooo great having family around to babysit, I've been going out a couple of times a week to meet up with friends & family while dd is at home with my sister/mum/mil!

Here's something I have noticed in Sydney.... practically everyone has monster 3 wheeler prams, with baby wrapped up in a blanket and lying on a sheepskin. I know it's autumn... but it's 24 degrees outside people! Others must think I'm very neglectful as I take dd out without any socks on!

Wuzzle - plucary sounds awful, glad to hear you are on the mend now.

gingeme · 16/05/2007 19:49

Sounds like your having a wonderful time Mellin. A quick question for the ffeeders out there how many bottle are youe lo's drinking now? And how many ounces? lo is nearly 7 months now and doesnt that bothered with his evening time bottle but will always finnish his bedtime one. Shall I miss it out and just give him his tea with some juice?

Rumpel · 16/05/2007 20:52

Hi All,

Hi Wuzz and Totally - good to hear form you.

Mellin - enjoy!

Samsmam - sorry

Gingeme - I have just started giving Amber 1 bottle first thing (7ozs) brekkie later on, then another bottle (5ozs) after an hour or so, lunch, bottle (5ozs) after 30 mins to 1 hour, another bottle and biccy later, dinner then last bottle (7ozs) about 6.30 - 7pm before bed.

My Grandma finally looked out a photo of my Grandpa (he died 9 years ago) and Dad emalied it to me. Amber reminds me of my Grandpa quite a lot (she looks like me, I look like my Mum who looks like her Dad). The photo is my Grandpa as a baby black and white circa 1920 and they are 2 peas in a pod! If I dressed her up in those clothes you just would not be able to tell the difference - amazing

I feel he is not around to see her - he would be so proud. Still I am sure he is looking down laughing.

Very busy packing for move - sore throat with all the dust from cd shelves!

GINGEME - congratulations!!!!

weldone you, congrats, so happy for you, due in January - be nice, tell me how many weeks you are!

Just told DP that one of the ladies from this PN thread is PG again, he laughed and went and said NOOOOOoooooo... we're both so jealous, yay

any way...

had Lola weighed by thick HV yesterday,

18lb 9oz, was told she was over weight and should cut a milk feed, then she asked about weaning, i mentioned we are BLW, and she almost spat out her tea, silly cow -

any way, really upset me that she thought LO was over weight so I asked her to measure her length, see if there was a possibility she's a long'un, sure enough, she's 74 cm which is off the top of the 99.6th centile que my smug smile, and the "so wont be needing to cut the milk feed then thank YOU very much" tut tut

hope all well

does any one here have MSN apart from Becky

emily. benton @ hotmail . com

add me as I get so bored working from home on PC with no one to talk to!

BENDYB · 16/05/2007 22:25

em- what a silly cow that hv!
any luck for you yet ttc?
or you samsmam???

my msn has not been workin em thats why havent been on, think its ok now though.

anyone can add me too- [email protected]

gingeme- kai is now having 4 7oz bottles a day, 1 when he gets up then breakfast about an hour later, then luch & another bottle about 12.30, another bottle at 4 dinner at 5 then bedtime bottle at 7.15.

does that sound too much to anyone? or not enough?! he does cry for more sometimes! ooh its confusing sometimes!!!

hope everyone ok! night night all

EmilyandLola · 16/05/2007 22:30

Beck - Lola drinks more than that, so wouldnt worry, she has either 4 or 5 bottles a day of about 7 oz, but cut that down to 6oz to make her a little more hungrier for her "human food"

she has

breakie at 8am
bottle at 9 - 9.30
nap

bottle at 11.30

lunch at 12.30 - 1

bottle at 3

dinner at 5.30 - 6

bottle at 8

bed timeeeeeeee

although, she seems to be wanting to stay up later, and she's started to become much more clingy to me, DP holds her and if she's tired will stretch her arms out to me and moan "mum mum mum mum mum mum" til i snatch her, then she looks at DP and smirks, what a good game!

EmilyandLola · 17/05/2007 05:38

Just thought I'd say good morning, Lola has got me up already at 5 am, wouldnt lay in her cot, came with me for 2 mins and screamed so much, think she's got a tummy ache or some thing,

raaaaaaaaaaaaaaa any way i feel fecked!

samsmam · 17/05/2007 07:17

Good morning,

Samantha has only 3 bottles a day, 7oz at 6.30/7am, 4oz at 3/4pm then 5oz at bedtime usually 7.30pm. We do lunch at 12 and tea at 5. I only cut it right down because of the amount of reflux we had. We still get some but I am not washing half as much.

I want to buy a walker as LO has decided she much prefers being on her feet. Any recommendations?

Lost 3.5lb this week. thats 25lb in total now.

samsmam · 17/05/2007 07:18

No luck bendy, running out of time to join Gingeme on the January thread!

gingeme · 17/05/2007 09:52

wOW YOUVE ALL BEEN BUSY. Totaly confused me on the bottle front because I give lo a bottle with his food[hm]. Maybe Im doing it wrong. Youd think Id know by now. Oh Ill just carry on and maybe cut down his ounces.
lol Emily. Im 5 weeks preg. Had a bit of a wet knickers moment yesterday. Sorry TMI. You know how much you panic before your 12 weeks? All ok though
Oh dont listen to your hv Emily. Shes not at home with your lo all the time watching when shes hungry and not hungry. Sounds like your doing a grand job
Well done on the weight loss samsam. Wont recognise you on the next time we meet.
Staying in today catching up on the washing. Feel a little light headed so gonna rest as much as I can. Oh who am I kidding.
Take care all xxxx
Rumpel you bought a lump to my throat with your talk about grand parents. My Mum has photo of my Nan holding me on my Christening and it could be Edwrad shes holding. None of my Grandparents or dh's will meet our new one

wuzzlefraggle · 17/05/2007 10:08

morning all! been able to lie in this morning coz anna slept till 9:40!! no way was i gonna wake her up lol.

Emily - ignore that silly wench of a hv. blw sounds great.

Question for those whose lo's have cut teeth already... just before the teeth came through, did the area of gum go very white???

by the way, whose lo's have teeth anyway? anna's got zilch lol

EmilyandLola · 17/05/2007 10:48

Lola's got no teeth as yet, although on good advice from my mum (who's had 6 children!)

she says that there is some times a line on the gum just before they cut through, its the tooth trying to burst through.

gingeme · 17/05/2007 11:05

Yes wuzzle thats a good sign there on threr way. Edwrad has two at the bottom. Hes dribbling for England so still waiting on some more

wuzzlefraggle · 17/05/2007 12:14

gingeme · 17/05/2007 13:24
