So sorry about your granmother Mellin. My thoughts are with you

Swizzler Im not feeling too bad thanks. A bit nauseus in the morning but that subsides once Ive had breakfast. Hope it stays that way. My boobs hurt like hell though. What was I thinking! Oh no thats right I wasnt thinking. No worries about travelling. I used to travel to Bedford and back when I was preg with ds3.
Youngmum why another 6 months till you ttc? Arent they funny in walkers> ds4 is an expert in his and Im sure he aims for our cat now
Anyway Im off for a bath been shoping today and my feet hurt (new shoes)

youngmum21 · 12/05/2007 20:35

gingeme · 12/05/2007 21:31

youngmum thats no fun

marthahm · 12/05/2007 22:25

wow gingeme. couldn't think of a better mother to be having no.5, you'll be fab at it. we're not trying for quite a long time, can't forget the head down the loo for 5 months and the constant screaming for the first 4 months of lo's existance. if we'd had an easy one then defo.
bubbleymummy i had bad smear results 18 months ago and was diagnosed with stage 3 changes after colposcopy and then biopsy. after an op to remove bad cells have now had the all clear since then-just went yesterday for colposcopy and clear again-phew! the colposcopy is a walk in the park -sounds much worse than is, they just look with microscope at your bits. stings a tiny bit but not painful, and best of all they can tell you immediately so no waiting for results. good luck.
can't believe what a saddo am i-watching eurovision song contest...

gingeme · 12/05/2007 23:07

marthahm if Id have thought like that after my first one the rest wouldnt be here now thats for sure. Now hes a strapping 13 year old with a new mobile phone(curtosy of Mummy for his bday) and a handsome face .
Feel lot more sick this evening. Better go to bed and get some sleep before it gets worse.
Night all.

majormoo · 13/05/2007 20:00

Hi all
Condolences Mellin. At least she met her great grand daughter which is a lovely thing not only for you and her, but for you to tell your DD.

Bubblemummy as Martha said the colposcopy is fine. I could think of nicer ways to spend an afternoon, but it is OK. I needed treatment and had it done there and then. All over and done with in half an hour and a lovely nurse chatting to me all the way through to take my mind off it. At last got my smear result (probably only because I wrote and complained ) and relieved that it seemed normal.

I am with those of you still not getting a night's sleep. DS has a cold so it is worse than normal. DH has been away with friends camping for the weekend, so went to my sister's for some company. Her DH is a great cook-DS has tried paella (without the shell fish) and roast dinner this weekend. Still am nackered. Keep getting headaches everyday which I am sure is lack of sleep.

Gingme hope you aren't feeling too lousy.

gingeme · 13/05/2007 22:43

Thanks majormoo. Not feeling too bad today though this morning was a bit touch and go for a while. Just to let you know if anyones thinking of meeting up this week I cant make Wednesday.
lo tried alsorts today. Cheese quiche, onion rings, chocolate swiss roll and scrambled egg. He loved the lot. Wonder what his nappy will be like tommorrow .

gingeme · 14/05/2007 15:06

Hi ladies. Where is everyone today? Just been to the docs. My due date is 14th Jan. 6 days from dh's birthday. My bp is fine and on a plus side I dont weigh as much as I thought I did.
Lo is sitting up well now. Up on all fours every now and again too though hes still sliding around on his front. Seems to get him further. Little monkey.
Hope you are all well.

samsmam · 14/05/2007 15:28

I'm here.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother mellin.

Managed to get LO to sleep in her cot this afternoon- she is snoring away as we speak. The first time I've actually sat down, in my own with a cuppa for ages!

Good news about your weight Gingeme. I am struggling to get rid of this last stone.

LO still not attempting to do much physically, although she sits up really well and rolls from back to front them tries to pull herself to crawling. Must be the added weight she has!

And I think those top teeth are causing lots of trouble!

Rumpel · 14/05/2007 19:58

Mellin - sorry about your Grandma. It is nice seeing the generations together so you will be able to tell Lo when they are older.

Gingeme - good news re weight - are you going to find out if this one is pink or blue?

Samsmamaltesarfan - I too am struggling with this last 30lbs! Had major PMT this weekend and had to go out on an emergency choccy run on saturday - muffins, MARS BAR havent had one of those for years!

Still I AM POLE DANCER EXTRODINARE today Was so much better than last week (did take all week for my arms/pecs to recover though) could do it and everything! We did some very sexy floor work. Not quite sure if a rotund cellulite ridden derriere being wiggled up in the air is sexy or vomit inducing The teacher has exquisite pins/tiny buttocks

Have been very busy surfing for new house acutrements and not getting on with my dissertation (which is what I should be doing)

Oh well - nite all.

Amber can only roll from front to back (and she aint very happy about it either) She just aint interested!

samsmam · 14/05/2007 21:19

Anyone had their LO's weighed recently?
Just wondering if I should give up gettng her weighed??? Unless I think there is a problem.

samsmam · 14/05/2007 21:21

Rumpel- thans for the choccy comment- now I'm dreaming chocolate. I live above a newsagent- it doesn't shut until 10pm

gingeme · 14/05/2007 23:05

Yes Rumple when the time comes Im going to ask. Just cant wait to see my mw readtion when I have my booking in appt or the sonographers. Dh said'Im sure you can just pop in to see them without getting pregnant you know'.
Been feeling so sick today. Been realy hungry too. Forgot how s**t this first part of pg is
samsam I usually get my babys weighed for the first year then every now and then. Like I sometimes get ds3 weighed when I have ds4 weighed. Cor I sound realy greedy dont I?
Well got a busy day tomm. Sold our bunk beds on Ebay at last so the ladies coming to collect them at 11 so Dh and I have to dimantle them.
Well goodnight then. Come samsam hurry and join me on the Jan thread

wuzzlefraggle · 14/05/2007 23:10

im rubbish at keeping up with this thread.

been off posting regular for a while as i have head a nasty bit of pluracy, so to and fro the docs has been my story for the last couple of weeks. alls much better now though.

have tried a quick catch up.

congrats Bendy on the wedding coming up!!!

so sorry to hear about your grandmother mellin xox

gingeme, am i right in thinking that you have concieved?? god, i dont even know if ive spelt that right lol.

totallyfloaty35 · 14/05/2007 23:54

hi all,Congrats gingeme,
sorry for your loss mellin
goodluck bendy.
Not been on much either, hope you ok now wuzzle.
Lo has learnt to roll and wiggles forward on her tummy so cant leave her for a second, have had to buy a playpen as keep finding her wedged against the sofa or under the tv.She can sit up to but still falls quite easily, making no effort to stop herself and lands on her face!!Her weight gain has slowed right down to only 2oz on in the last month.
Have booked a hol so need to get another half stone off before i can squeeze into a swimsuit, although i have lost all my baby weight and an extra half stone am still a good 10lb over what i should be,the only thing thats keeping my weight under control is breastfeeding as my chocolate consumption is way out of hand.
Lex has had a cold so i have had hardly any sleep for 4nights,she sounds like shes drowning when she lies down and the poor thing ends up screaming cause she just cant breathe.
sorry for long post, better go to bed now.

samsmam · 15/05/2007 07:43

I am trying Gingeme honestly.

samsmam · 15/05/2007 07:45

Good to hear from you totally and wuzzle.

BENDYB · 15/05/2007 08:39

mornin all,

hope your all ok.

sorry to hear about your grandmother mellin.

nice to hear from you again wuzzle, how are things?

hope your feeling ok today gingeme.

wuzzlefraggle · 15/05/2007 09:06

cheers ladies, im fine now. I wouldnt wish pluracy on anybody, thats for sure!

hiya bendy, things are good ta. how about you? when did you and your dp decide to get wed then???

Anna can roll on her tummy and after much struggling can move herself forwards and backwards (mostly backwards lol). she can sit up for quite a while (but cant get from lying to sitting on her own yet), but i do have to keep my eye on her as she does still fall over.

she can say dada (lo and behold, the git got the first word) and nana (not sure if she is trying to say Nana, Anna or Banana)

she can hold her own weight when stood up if she is balanced by someone. as for sleeping through the night...what is that?? she still wakes once or twice, but im just used to it now, so i cant say that it really bothers me anymore.

oooops, sorry for such a long post girls, but thought i should fill in on anna so's i can get up to speed with the thread lol

catgirl · 15/05/2007 09:20

morning ladies - Gingeme - I hear congrats are in order - ohmygoodness! You are brave!

Haven't caught up with the thread, hope you and yours are all fine and dandy. I am back to work, full time, in a month, so spending the next 4 weeks getting hair cut, dentist appointments, etc etc. Keep well.

BENDYB · 15/05/2007 09:52

kai can say dada aswell, its really clear, so cute.
sorry but what is pluracy? sorry to sound dumb,

gingeme · 15/05/2007 11:18

Oh pluracy thats awful Wuzzle. Hope your feeling well soon
catgirl no Im not brave just a bit silly but hey ho. Feel ok today just a bit nauseus.
Hi totaly hows things?
samsam your just not trying hard enough
Well Im off for a bath. Have just finished scrubbing our disgusting bathroom.
Hope you all have a good day xx

Swizzler · 15/05/2007 12:37

Gingeme: pg ladies should leave scrubbing the bathroom to someone else . Get you feet up!

Samsmam: last weighed DS a few weeks ago - he was 21 lb 1 oz. Still on 91st percentile. I don't bother unless I have a specific question for the hv.

Wuzzle: great to hear from you, sorry about the pleurisy (sp?). Sounds v tiring. DS still waking lots as well, but as you say you get used to it . I'm hoping he'll eventually go to one waking which would be great.

Hope everyone having a good day. Lovely to meet up yesterday Catgirl and best of luck with the return to work

We need another meet-up date: any ideas?

wuzzlefraggle · 15/05/2007 13:13

Bendy - Pluracy is a bit of extra liquid on the between the lungs and the protective sack around them. it makes breathing very difficult. every time you breath in, its like a very sharp stabbing pain which means that it hurts like mad to take a full breath in, therefore too much activity makes you short of breath very very quickly and tired. but after 1 week of ibuprofen, paracetamol and then another week of those plus antibiotics, and its gone now.

cheers for the welcome back girls!
