Over here ladies-

I did it again - hope you don't mind.

InTheHouse: glad things are going well. I'm enjoying being back at work as well, though may change my mind when I go up to 4 days a week. I think a lot of W's grizzliness is down to growing - he's getting bigger v fast it seems and trying lots of new stuff. The raspberries are funny, aren't they?

Martha: could you recommend a cranial osteo in N/Central London? Thought I'd give it a go for DS as he's getting very fretful when I put him down at night. There are 3 working at a local centre, but only 1 does appointments when I'm off and he's booked up/on holiday for the next few weeks.

Hi
Re highchairs - think i have the same one as samsmam - chicco happy snack, seemed to be the cheapest one that reclines. Also has solid plastic that goes between legs so babe cannot slump forward. As for cleaning it i am pleased that the straps are removable as my last highchair went mouldy cos the straps were welded on! I scrubbed it all and put it in loft when dd stopped using it, got it down from loft last week and the straps were literally greeen - yukk!

My lo is healing well now. he just has a small dressing on his arm now, which i can change myself on a daily basis. He should be healed by next week and we are allowed to go on holiday in 3 weeks time - yay Have to be very careful in the sunshine though and use at least factor 30.

Re weaning - i think my lo still hasn't worked out how to swallow - i'm sure one day soon he will realise that this food stuff is nice and start eating loads.

news, our dog died last night. she was 14 and had had a lovely life and dh buried her on our allotment. DD is not too upset but got all worried about death in general. I suppose it is better that her first experience of death is a pet rather than a relative.

Good evening ladies Im back! Ive discovered a cure for morning sicness. Acu bands which press on the acupressure points inside your wrist to stop travel and morning sickness. Only cost £2 and theyre brill
Lo is getting huger by the minute. He has 4 teeth now. The top two popped through more or less over the weekend. Hes still waking up at bloody 6 am though which is killing me at the moment being pg. Im realy exhausted by about 2 pm.
Raspberrys are geat as long as they dont have a moughtful of food at the time. Lo was in his high chair this afternoon and dropped his toy on the floor(no surprise there) I picked it up just had my face clear of the tray and he blew a big raspberry covering me in Dairylea sandwich
Oh well off for a bath lots of holiday washing to do tommorrow.
Oh before I forget dh is of for work for two weeks from 5th June so if anyones got any ideas for a meet up Im free for two weeks.

Swizzler · 31/05/2007 11:44

Sorry to hear about your dog Taffy . A good age, though.

Gingeme: glad you're feeling better. How many weeks are you now? A meet-up sounds good: could poss do Wed 15 June or Friday 17.

gingeme · 31/05/2007 17:21

Hi Swizzler I am 7 and a bit weeks now . Rang my midwife team today. Spoke to the midwife that delivered Edward and she said she had a feeling she would be seeing me again!
Both those dates are good for me. What does everyone else think?Tried lo with a couple of milky way choc buttons today. ds3 was eating them after being so good when we were shopping and he loved them. I bought him some Organic soft rusks too. They smell gorgeous but they are realy realy crumbly and messy. He loved them though.Hes realy trying to crawl now. Gets very frustrated when he doesnt actualy move though. Well except backwards Hes down to 3 bottles a day too and eating lots of different things but he just doesnt do baby food it has to be what we are having. Spaghetti bolognese tonight mmmm.....

marthahm · 31/05/2007 22:10

inthehouse, Hope does the same thing you described with Fergus when i come back from work the day i work and a bit the rest of the week, reckon it would be all the time if i worked more than 1 day. on the plus side, perhaps if you work more they get used to it quicker? i think with it being only 1 day she gets suprised every week when i leave.
swizz, how about coming to the place i work just by exmouth market, between 5-10mins from angel tube. if not, will get looking. the key is to have someone who specialises in kids.

Swizzler · 01/06/2007 07:26

Martha: found someone in Highbury which is easier for me to get to (Catgirl recommended her) so am trying next week. She was realistic and said that sleep was tricky and the treatment might not help, which I am strangely reassured by . Will let you know how I get on.

wuzzlefraggle · 01/06/2007 07:49

heelllooooo everyone... are we all watching BB?? i admit, im an addict lol.

taffy, so sorry to hear about your dog

can i ask you all a question please...what kind of things do your LO's eat??Do they eat more some days and what seems like nothing another? and for the few that are still breastfeeding, are there days where LO is more interested in your milk?

Anna is 7 months old today

samsmam · 01/06/2007 07:52

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is ok.

I am just popping in for a quick goodbye before I go on my holidays. Got a wedding all day tomorrow- leaving LO for a whole 8 hours.
Really nervous about taking LO to Cyprus keep having nightmares about her being taken. Wish they would find that little girl.

I'll be celebrating my 30th next week, nice to be in some hot weather, BBQ, brandy and beach! Ok so maybe I'm a little excited!

I am free either day for meet up.

Gingeme- got AF so I'll have to try again next month.
Have a good week all.

gingeme · 01/06/2007 14:57

Keep trying samsam. Have a good holiday. My parents have been to Cyprus and say its lovely. Try to enjoy your wedding too.
Wuzzle go with the flow with lo's eating. Some days lo just wants his bottle at lunch time sometimes hell eat sandwich and fruit for afters. You dont always feel like eating loads so lo may not either. The hot weather is another factor (if we get any that is).
Dont worry too much right now. Im sure youll be thinking back when lo is 3 or 4 and wondering what you made all the fuss about

Hi All!

Just come back from holiday in Cornwall (actually I lie - we came back last weekend, but I've only just got around to getting back on MN!). We had a lovely time - DH got to swim with DS for the first time & my parents were there too, so we got to have some time to ourselves too.

Haven't caught up with any posts yet - hope everyone is ok, esp those pg again (anyone else other than gingeme?)

gingeme · 02/06/2007 10:14

Welcome home Eeyoreisfab. Glad you had a good holiday. Did your dh and dd swim ina pool or the sea?
Thanks for the comment about me being pg again. Are you ttc at the moment then?

gingeme · 03/06/2007 10:13

Good morning. Been having a think about our next meet up. Does anybody know of any nice eating establishments in Covent Garden? Been there many times but never thought to look at the eating places. Just a suggestion. Anyone?

EeyoreIsFab · 03/06/2007 10:44

Morning gingeme! Sorry - don't know that area at all, so of no use there!

We swam in heated indoor pool on holiday - sea was rather chilly, but DH did take DS for a very quick paddle!

We aren't ttc & DH is quite certain that one is enough at the moment.

wuzzlefraggle · 03/06/2007 20:23

im too scared to have another (at least for the forseeable)...that 2 weeks after giving birth, walking around like ive had an umbrella opened in my bum was not nice lol.

samsmam - have a nice holiday!!

gingeme and inthehouse - cheers re the feeding stuff...i panic over nothing, i know . she ate like a horse yesterday.

what kinds of food go down well with your lo's??? just to give me a few more ideas for Anna really

hope that everyone is doing well

totallyfloaty35 · 03/06/2007 22:02

wuzzle lol at the bum comment, thats whats putting me off to,a 3rd degree tear is not very comfortable.
Food my dd loves is,olives, onions! fish cakes, cottage pie, hoummas, pitta bread, garlicy spinach, courgettes, well she pretty much eats anything, she likes really strong flavours, which is great as we dont do bland food

totallyfloaty35 · 03/06/2007 22:06

oh and somedays she breast feeds like crazy and hardly eats and other days she scoffs everything in sight and just pats my boobs as if checking they are still there for when she does fancy a guzzle

gingeme · 03/06/2007 22:18

Oh what a love totaly. Lo proved yet again that baby food is for babys I tried him with a Heinz jar of pasta, apricot and chicken with red pepper which I remember ds3 loving. Lo spat every mouthful straight out! Gave him Dairylea spread on Woburtons seeded batch and he scoffed the lot. Ive never known a baby not to like baby food bfore.

EmilyandLola · 04/06/2007 11:35

Hey all, my sister has just wisked Lola out to go shopping with her, so I'm home alone!

Gingeme - Lola won't eat any thing baby orientated, apart from the odd rusk. DP's surprise party was on saturday and it all went smoothly.

Hope your all well

wuzzlefraggle · 04/06/2007 13:12

glad that the party went well Emily

cheers for the idea's for food... generally give anna what we eat and see what happens...mainly a massive mess lol. she will eat baby food, but tends to prefer fruit more than anything...i get these fruit pots by Organix, and mix half a pot with about a third of a wheetabix for her breakfast, which she seems to love..

ooo, its my first wedding anniversary on the 19th

Slim · 04/06/2007 13:15

W hates most baby food as well, apart from the poncy Plum baby foods. Must try him again on mashed stuff - he didn't take to it a few weeks ago, but had pasta and pesto the other day and liked it. His main love is bread - was out for an Indian meal yesterday and he happily chewed on some bits of chapati while we ate.

wuzzlefraggle · 04/06/2007 13:28

does much of the bread get swallowed, or just gummed?

Slim · 04/06/2007 13:32

He started off gummong most of it, now he swallows a fair amount. Any topping (philly or hummous) get sucked off. Then the remains are carefully stowed in bib/highchair/buggy for later
