EeyoreIsFab · 08/05/2007 20:43

Thanks for the advice Swizzler. Just one 'nip' today thankfully!

samsmam - ds turns himself onto his side or front too now. Like majormoo says, there's not much you can do about it and I guess if they can turn themselves over so easily then they'll move if they need to.

gingeme · 08/05/2007 21:45

Eeyoreisfab lo turns immediately onto his front as soon as I put him down. In fact he often ends up sideways too.

Swizzler · 09/05/2007 16:29

DS ate some spinach! Cookes with cream and cheese but it's a start

samsmam · 09/05/2007 16:37

Good news swizzler- LO has been refusing all solids today. May be her top teeth. Doc checked out her throat he said it was ok. I was worried that the wooden spoon handle she shoved down there yesterday had done some damage.

marthahm · 09/05/2007 19:07

well done on house rumpel and well done for sticking a whole pole d. class. good luck with the class. i've got to do my very first lecture for my students in 2 weeks time. also v nervous. will be doing alot of practicing in the mirror if get energy after lo asleep.
lo has always slept on her front.
swizz lo won't eat anything i cook apart from sweet potato. she loves the plum baby organic tubs you can get from boots/waitrose/sainsburys etc. i like them too. am giving it another go with some chicken tomorrow-prob will gag on it like anything else i give her, that's if i manage not to lose concentration and burn it again.

gingeme · 10/05/2007 17:42

Afternoon ladies hope your all well. lo is sitting up better now. Hes still a bit wobbly but getting there. Hes taken to waking at 6.30 am still. Guess I had it to good for too long. Reverted back to pureed stuff. He just seems to spit lumps out. Though hes pretty handy with toast and Organix soft Rusks.

gingeme · 10/05/2007 21:49

Mmm any ideas anyone?

majormoo · 10/05/2007 22:17

gingme-congratulations. How exciting!

Rumpel · 10/05/2007 22:22

WOWSER GINGME - am too! Was your Dh not going for the snip or am I getting confuzzzed? Congratulations.

We are waiting until we move as I get HORRIFIC moring sickness and am unable to do anything except stay in bed for about 6 weeks! Have lost 19lbs now. Have been aching since Monday coz of the pole dancing. Started doing tricep dips on the table to try to strenghten up a bit as you need to be able to support your weight. Went for an hours walk today too.

Exam yesterday went really well. The class were lovely and so was my teaching fellow. Can sigh a sigh of relief now it is over.
Need to motivate myself now to get my dissertation done before we move DH is off abroad to work tomorrow for 10 days so I shall try to knuckle down.

MARTHA - is this you going to start teaching osteo? I love teaching - my friends say I have been lecturing all my life and nbow I do it for a living

Amber has another tooth today - that is the 2 bottom front ones now. She had thai green curry today to try (a tspn) and houmous.

Samsmam - are you TTC now?

Emily - how is your TTC going?

Must go off to bed now - nite all.

Yes Rumpel dh having the snip in June. Was a one off literaly . Been so careful up till now but I thought it would be ok and well.......
Thanks majormoo. Come on ladies get a move on dont let me go on a new anti natal thread all on my lonesome

Bubblemummy · 11/05/2007 14:14

Hi everyone, haven't made it on here for a while, hope you're all well. DH has been away for work, I have such respect for anyone who has to look after a baby by themselves all the time, it is difficult!

Congratulations Gingeme!!! You must be so pleased, I remember you saying that you wanted another one at the last meet up.

Good luck to everyone else TTC too, I don't think I could handle a new baby just yet. Still trying to figure the first one out! Although I have found myself thinking more and more about when the best time to have another baby would be...

Majormoo - what was your treatment for abnormal cells like? I'm scheduled for a colposcopy after having two abnormal smear results, and I am dreading it.

Samsmam - Seb always rolls over onto his tummy, I used to roll him back but now I just leave him as there is no point really. It just disturbs him, and I hate waking him up unnecessarily! I also think you need one day off a week when you're dieting, I lost a bit of weight before I got pregnant, and I don't think there is any way I could have stuck to a strict diet without having days off! I love chocolate too much.

LO is sleeping through the night now, so happy

Swizzler & Marthamh, know how you feel about he food thing. Seb won't eat any of the food I make for him, it just gets wasted. Have started feeding him bits of whatever we're eating, which he seems to like, but still doesn't eat too much of. Thanks for the calpol tip too, swizzler. Glad teething is over now... until next time.

Glad you got your house rumpel So, you'll be professional pole dancer soon then?

EeyoreIsFab · 11/05/2007 14:31

Congratulations Gingeme!

DH loves DS1&only to bits but isn't keen on the idea of more . I think I could persuade him otherwise but money is the biggest problem. I just don't think we could afford another for some time yet.

gingeme · 11/05/2007 15:37

Thankyou ladies. Told our parents and respecive families today. Got different reactions to what we thought. In fact alot better than we thought. Havnt told ds3 or 4 yet he he. It will seem like such a long way off to a 3 year old.
Lo woke at 1 am this morning had a bottle and slept till 8. Dont know what all that was about
Boobs hurt today and felt a bit nauseus this morning too. Oh what am I doing .
Come on samsam and Emily get a move on with ttc

samsmam · 11/05/2007 15:47

I'm trying honestly Gingeme! I think today is ovulation day so guess what I'll be wanting tonight.
When will your baby be due? January?

gingeme · 11/05/2007 15:50

erm yeah think so. Going docs Monday to get booked for the mw team Iwas with the last two time. Didnt think Id be seeing them again.

BENDYB · 11/05/2007 15:59

ooh its really exciting gingeme! I really cant wait to have another one!

kai rolls onto his tummy to sleep aswell, dp always rolls him back over, i just leave him though.

we have started planning the wedding now, so exciting, dp seems more interested planning his stag night though!

samsmam · 12/05/2007 07:25

Morning all, Its a lovely sunny day today- well for now anyways.

Hi Bubblemummy- I was wondering where you had gone to. I love chocolate too.

Rumpel- We are trying to concieve at the moment. Not too much pressure though as all the focus is put on the baby making and not the having fun-iyswim.
I make sure that I walk one hour everyday for my exercise and I take my heavier pram rather than the stroller. If I do get preg I am determined to eat healthier and not put on 6 stone this time. We shall see.

LO loves her door bouncer at last! Anyone else tried one?

Mellin · 12/05/2007 12:11

Hi all,
Have only been able to catch up with the more recent posts so hope all Mums & bubs are well. Did manage to see your good news tho Gingeme - congrats! I am no where near brave enough to contemplate no.2 yet, need the memory of dd as newborn to fade a bit first Also no chance of TTC while hubby and I are on opposite sides of the world!

dd are now back in Sydney, a little later than expected. Unfortunately we have had a sad family time as my grandmother died 2 weeks ago. We stayed for the funeral and to spend time with the extended family. I am glad at least that she got to meet her great grand-daughter and we got to spend time with her before she went into hospital.

We now have sitting! And a very strange breast-stroke like motion when on her tummy. I call her frogger when she starts it Still showing no interest in rolling. And still not sleeping through the night arrrggh! I am bf once a night [ducks while Swizzler throws rock and says not to complain!] but she is waking several times a night needing to be resettled. Oh well!

Swizzler · 12/05/2007 16:48

Anyone want to compare nights? Hmm?

CONGRATULATIONS Gingeme! What a surprise! Hope you're not feeling too bad at the moment. I'm free on the 16th if that is this Wed. Cd try meeting somewhere that's easy for you in respect for the newly pg lady
