Astrophe · 06/02/2008 14:18

depending on where we are meeting, lunch would be fine. We are at church until 11.30am ish, then can jump in the car and race to wherever.

lol at your confession LL!

Frizbe · 06/02/2008 17:54

ok whose site is it LL, go on mail me
I'm happy to meet anywhere, shall we wait for a weather forecast? is there anywhere that's good midway for you LL? my dh will be at work, but you're welcome to bring yours!

Frizbe · 06/02/2008 18:06

Off to cinema in a bit Alien v Predator I think, as Cloverfield will make dh poorly, as wobbly camera thing, and he doesn't want to see I am Legend....our first 'date' since beging of Dec!
Very happy dd's here today, got them both a suitcase in Sainsbo's reduced to 3.99 each bargin, lots of wheeling around has been done this evening. Also dd1 has new shoes, as randomly thought in a spare 5 secs to get her feet checked and drat up a whole size thank lord the wellies I brought her last week, were on the big size (her winter boots luckily have a bit of room too) so she's now got a new pair of clarkes trainers to last her through to summer, with a bloody doll in the sole I couldn't belive it when the woman told us They nearly all have them apparently...... if they dont they have flashing lights, which give dh a migrane, sigh. No doubt shoes will be off quickly to get the item out to play with, sigh....

Astrophe · 07/02/2008 08:32

LL, I think I know the thread - can you email me? (as if you don't feel guilty enough!?)

Friz - lol re the wheeling of suitcases - bless 'em.

We are going into town to swap another pair of shoes - DS's this time, which are unravelling after 4 weeks! Very frustrating as I got them in the sale, which is now over, and will have to pay full price for a new pair. Wish we had your shoe maker Uni! These were from 'Jones the Bootmaker', but hes not a real bootmaker, sadly.

Everyone has woken up snotty this morning - DH is the worst, of course, and is still in bed while I am downstairs with the whinging kids. DD off to nursery today though, so not too busy a day.

Lets leave DH/Ps at home for meet up then? I will probably send mine to look at another Bongo.

Astrophe · 07/02/2008 08:34

oh, meant to say re migraines, I have had two this week, which is very unusual for me, and usually only happens when I'm pregnant

laundrylover · 07/02/2008 09:06

Astro!!!!!!!!

Astrophe · 07/02/2008 12:12

oh no no no - I hope not! Will let you know in about 10 days.

Frizbe · 07/02/2008 20:15

now that would be best laid plans eh Astro for your sake and planning hope your not.

Just found a friggin NIT on dd1 here stuffin nursery.....have gotten rid of it and doused her in hedrin, also did dd2 for safety.....grrrr.......

Now I need the thread link LL, as I think I may have thought it was another thread! I thought you were on about the inlaws thread? which I've been told about but still haven't read, leaving it for this weekend, when dh is away!

Happy Chinese New Year anyway! dh is off getting a take away as we speak.

Frizbe · 07/02/2008 20:31

Oh! nearly forgot, dd2 just got her 1st proper party invite, from someone at nursery, at a play centre, for a 2 year old Had to text the mum and ask the age of the child, as I don't know her??? has anyone else had this happen???

UniS · 08/02/2008 16:06

Fingers and legs crossed Astro !
NIts- ergh. not had that joy yet. Did have to double check a birthday age recently, for a very quiet and small 3 yr old. Kids at her party from 1-4. Boy has first fancy dress party next week! its a joint party for 2 brothers , older one is 5. Boy will be going a a sheep. I asked him what hewanted to dress up as and he replied " Baaa" I'm choseing to interpet that as sheep not phone.

Frizbe · 08/02/2008 21:05

Uni, Sheep, I'd be happy to go with that at a baaaaa request reminds me of dh and dd2 yesterday morning,
dh 'so you want orange'
dd2 'orange plse'
dh makes squash (hi juice don't panic!)
dd2, wahhhhhhhhhh 'want milk'
dh 'but you said orange?'
dd2 'yes orange!'
dh 'you've got it then'
dd2 'want milkkkkkkkkkkkk sob'
dh, 'argh!!!! ' and so it went on, lol

So, yes eventful afternoonjust as dh gets to York, had literally phone 10 mins before had.....then nursery phone 'sorry to disturb you at work, but you'd better come and get dd1, argh!!!!! we think she's broken her arm! I've done a full blather on my mumsnet blog! but HUGE thanks to poor Meridian, who is not only sitting my kids all day tomorrow for her sins, but ended up looking after the shop, when she only popped by to bring me a coffee (and half a very yummy cream scone). Plus she also got her dh to pick up dd2 from nursery for me, and then looked after her till I got back. Chocs and Flowers were provided Couldn't ask for a better friend .

Both dd's are now asleep, but I'm not expecting a full nights sleep as dd1 has kinda internal brusing thing, you can see blood all around the lower bone joint on the xray thing, usual calpol/ibruprofen mix and a sling have been perscribed. Tho my friend whose a Dr, reckons not to count out a fracture yet, as elbows are notoriously hard to diagnose apparently Looked ok to me on the X-Ray though, so time will tell. Did discover that the hospital have all dd1's xrays on the computer though, so she got to see her hip from birth when it was dislocated! and is now fascintated by photos of her insides

Astrophe · 09/02/2008 00:03

oh FRiz, poor DD1! Just be sure though re the elbow - I broke mine when I was 9, and it was undiagnosed, so they didn't set it long enough for an elbow break (I fractured my wrist as well, they did diagnose that though) and I have never regained full movement of left arm. Get them to check and double check. Apparently its hard to tell as bones are still growing.

Woah - just had friend s for dinner and have looked at the bottle and realised it is very almost empty and I WAS THE ONYL one on the wine!! Eeeek, feeling quite woozy, and hoping I am not preggers! Happy weekend all !!!

Frizbe · 09/02/2008 10:31

Astro you lush, you

Thanks for the elbow info, had horrible night with her, up at 22:00-23:30, 01:30-02:30 and then 05:30 onwards, am knackered, she's happier today though, as is totally dosed up on Calpol/nurofen and I've fixed her sling properly, lots of sobbing and screaming it hurts all night, popped her in bed with a pillow under it and 3 pillows behind her, so she didn't have to lie flat (we tried that for 1st 3 hrs, but you get the urge to roll over and can't eh....)

UniS · 09/02/2008 20:35

friz- poor ole dd. gentle hug to her from us.
Astro- these headaches, do they have anything to do with the ammount of wine you have been glugging???

Boy tryed falling down the stairs today. dh had just told him to stop jumping down each step and then boy got it wrong and took a tumble, luckily dh was still at foot of stairs and caught him! boy shaken but no worse.

Off to look at 2 houses for 2nd time tomorrow, either is possible but neither is an instant buy me so may well be we go for neither and wait to see what else comes up in that area. did some spring cleaning of this place today, just in case we need to sell it soon.
My uni hockey team were playingtoday with out dh and I ! for teh 1st time. I'm off to see if teh results are up from teh tourny yet...

Astrophe · 09/02/2008 20:55

Glad your boy is ok Uni! And good luck with the house hunting, - we were van unting today, but no luck.

Re the wine glugging and headaches - if that were true it would be brilliant news - I don't generally drink a lot, so I wouldn't find it too hard to abstain (annoying though - but it would be worth it to be migraine free) Sadly wine is not the trigger, nor is chocolate, nor is soft cheese (all my vices!). Oranges set them off, bizarrely, so I don't really eat them, but still get them at the moment

Sorry to hear that DD is still not great FRiz - do you have to follow up at hospital?

Frizbe · 09/02/2008 21:58

No hospital follow up Astro, unless still in lots of pain in a few days She's just gone to sleep now, in her sling, with more calpol down her neck, so hoping she's that tired she will just sleep all night!
Sorry you're struggling to get a Bongo at the moment, sure one will turn up!

Uni, ooooh more houses mind you if neither is doing it for you, often better to wait eh?

Frizbe · 10/02/2008 11:06

so dd1 only woke at 2am for more drugs, dd2 decided to pester me from 5am onwards I got her to drop off at 7am, she slet through my alarm at 8am and finally woke at 8.30 have left her and dd1 very excited with Gran, as she's back from her holidays

Astrophe · 13/02/2008 11:24

how is she now Friz?

laundrylover · 13/02/2008 11:44

Hello all,

Sorry have been offline for days and have missed all your drama Friz! Hope DD2 is a bit better by now....

Where shall we meet on Sun? DP and I are at a 40th on Sat night and kids staying at my parents so will need time to pick them up/eat eggs on toast/cure hangover etc.....shall we meet somewhere for lunch at about 12.30???

Suggestions please.....

Just been to docs and have got an urgent referral for my neck lump - feel like I'm such a crock at the mo. Whilst I was waiting to see the doc I took Tilly to the hairdressers and she now has a layered bob with VERY short fringe - looks fab!!!

BTW Friz and Astro are your kids fighting all the time at the mo or is it just mine??? In Co-op yesterday they had a screaming match over a sticker on the buggy tray!!! Apparently it was about who could look at it!! I give up!

Frizbe · 13/02/2008 19:45

Hello! eeek for neck lump referal, but also yay that they're taking it seriously, hope its nothing LL

Chatsworth is still closed at the mo, so is Bakewell any good to anyone? or should we try Cauldwells Mills (Rowsley) as it also has a park nearby, just thinking Bakewell isn't so far for you to drive though LL?

dd1 is on the mend thanks, she got a visit from the mending fairy last night, and so she slept with her arm, out of the sling, and got left £1.00 she's got limited movement in it at the moment, now its out the sling, you can see the puffyness round the joint at the back, where I assume a bruise will eventually show? she says its only hurting on the inside of the joint, so hopefully will be moving better soon???? she managed to write with it at nursery earlier, and when she forgets it may hurt, she's been spotted using it, so????

laundrylover · 13/02/2008 21:33

Ouch Friz, her arm sounds sore still (sorry got wrong DD earlier!).

Bakewell is good for me....will have a look where Rowsley is now....

UniS · 13/02/2008 22:15

pops in and waves.
Bit busy in RL.Working today, off to see sheep tomorrow.

Astrophe · 13/02/2008 22:30

Bakewell is fine - I know where it is at least...just beyond Chatsworth if I come up the A6 yes? Is there a good park/cafe/??? there? 12.30 should be ok for me - possibly I will be 15 mins late...I think it 1 hours drive and I will leave church at 11.30, but allow me 15 minutes 'foreign driver time' please!

Glad to hear DD is a little better Friz, hope she is 100% soon.

Glad you have the referal LL...hope it will be nothing though.

Hi Uni!

Frizbe · 14/02/2008 12:15

Ok Bakwell is good then

Its has a park and lots of cafe's, 12.30 is good for me, where shall we meet? there is a foot bridge which is only a foot bridge, that leads from one of the main car parks into town, we could gather there? kids can feed ducks whilst they wait?

laundrylover · 14/02/2008 13:22
