Aw @Rosebud2016 how exciting! Love that you came on here to tell us. Thanks for the tag, it's been lovely to catch up with everyone's news. @lucieloos hope you're doing well too- do update when you can.

Hiya too @stealthbanana. Grin Goodness, lots of thinking around a third (and actual partaking thereof). I am definitely DONE here. Hit 40 this year and DS has turned two and his back firmly on the baby years and I'm really enjoying this stage. DD is at school and is flourishing.

I do often think of this group and where we all were five years ago, and how it's all changed. So much to be grateful for.
Anyway, sending love to all xx

Hi everyone haven't been on Mumsnet for ages but just popped on to check something and I came across all these lovely messages!

@Rosebud2016 that amazing news about your instadiff. Hope everything is going along nicely with your pregnancy.

@stealthbanana great that you've decided to try again. Did you get to go ahead with the fet in September?

We had a beautiful baby girl in June. I opted for a home birth and it was amazing so much different from my first 2 births. It was everything I hoped for. She's 6.5 months old now and has started crawling. Her big brother and sister are besotted with her and I can see that she's itching to be able to join in with them properly. The newborn stages seem to have absolutely flown by and she has fitted in so easily and is such a happy baby. I always felt there was still one missing but thought with my age and the many other factors there would never be a third but here she is and I feeling fully completed and very happy ♥️

Rosebud2016 · 08/01/2022 16:33

Aww thank you! That’s incredible @lucieloos So pleased to hear you have all adjusted well and feel so happy and complete. So pleased for you Smile
Time for the next chapter of your life now! So exciting!

Thanks @stealthbanana @Grumpelstiltskin
Things are going well so far. I’m 14 weeks now and finally over the worst of the sickness. We found out we are having our first little boy through our NIPT. My girls have their hearts set on a little sister so that will make an interesting conversation at some point!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a great start to the New Year xxx

star1980 · 29/01/2022 18:45

Oh wow congratulations @lucieloos how amazing you’re a family of 5!! That is so lovely and I’m delighted you had an awesome home birth. I had two complicated c sections and the thought of a third was not welcome! That said, I was very firmly done after DS who has just turned two.

Congrats @Rosebud2016 too! All the very best for a comfortable pregnancy, well as much as you can with little ones!

Lovely to see these updates. I never go on mumsnet and just logged on for the first time in over a year and it was such a nice surprise.

@stealthbanana what are you thinking about number 3???!

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 07/02/2022 16:14

Happy belated new year everyone!

Congratulations Rosebud, and I hope all is going well with your pregnancy? And with breaking the news that it's a little boy Grin

Lovely to see your update Lucie I'm very pleased to read that all is well and you feel so happy.

How's the pondering going Stealth?

Here DS1 is nearly 5, and DS2 has just turned two. Life is wonderful but manic, and there definitely will not be a DC3 here though the other day I was cuddling my friend's newborn and she was delicious!

Hello to everyone, and hope you're all doing well x

Trixieagain · 07/02/2022 21:00

Hi everyone, so so lovely catching up on the chat. Not been on for ages.
Congratulations on the birth of your daughter @lucieloos!
I keep pushing back my deadline for making a decision about going for a second. I think we're one and done though, which I never thought would be the case. Dd is 4.5 now and I spend a lot of time going back and forth but I think I actually feel happy and complete just the 3 of us.

lucieloos · 24/02/2023 23:51

Anymore updates from anybody here? I still check in from time to time. I now have a nearly 6, 4 and 1 year old. Life is busy and hectic but good. Be great to hear how everyone is getting on and if there have been any more babies.

HP07 · 25/02/2023 07:17

Hi Lucieloos! I haven’t been on here in years! I do from time to time catch up in person with Boris who doesn’t live too far from me.
Both of mine are at school now! Seems crazy to believe. They are 6 and 4 and learning to read and write. My eldest is about to take his first tap dancing exam this weekend, he’s lost his first baby tooth which just seems far too grown up and he can swim by himself as well now! How has that happened?
Life is busy keeping up with all of their activities and social arrangements 😂parties and play dates etc. But I do have a lot more time during the week these days because of working weekends which means I can do school runs and keep on top of the household. Im gearing up for another busy weekend. No.2 snuck into bed with me in the night and is now starting to wriggle and stir. Life has certainly changed hugely since those uncertain days of waiting for that blue line but I love it. Seems like a lifetime ago.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Xx

Blue2014 · 25/02/2023 15:53

Wow! I can't believe this thread is still going and all the news and babies that have happened since I last posted in 2018!

I decided I was one and done within months of DS being born and have been on the coil since. He's 6 now and continues to be the light of my life. He's funny and kind and clever and wonderful.

Lovely to hear from everyone.

Wow, it's been a long time!

My twins are 6 now. 6!
We didn't try again. We always wanted two, and quite honestly I couldn't imagine going through it all again - the hope, the disappointment.

They are both amazing and doing well in and out of school. Still can't believe sometimes that I made 2 people Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2023 16:31

Hi. Baby blondes is now mini blondes and almost 6yrs

how did that happen !!

she is such a helpful little girl. Loves school. Can read and made lots of friends

congrats to those who have had more children

still overjoyed and amazed our 5th ivf finally worked and happy to have just the one

stealthbanana · 27/02/2023 09:16

Wow! Hi everyone!

can’t believe how long it’s been - our little frosties are now all turning 6!

mine have just turned 6 and 4 - for a long time I was thinking of a third. Unfortunately my marriage hasn’t turned out to be as stable as I would have hoped, so I shelved that idea and am currently trying to see if I remain together with DH or not. It’s sad but he has not stepped up to be the kind of co parent I wanted until we had a big bust up last year and since then we’ve been trying to repair (and he has finally stepped up into family life) but I’m not sure if it’s fixable. Such is life, I suppose.

I still have a lot of embies on ice and it’s funny to think about all these potential future children that won’t be. I’m continuing to store them for now as it all still feels too much to be making decisions now. But they will be donated to research and hopefully help other people like us in the future.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/02/2023 11:01

Sorry to hear about dh probs @stealthbanana

Hope you sort things out

We still have think 3 frostier on ice but they are going for medical research

We have signed everything f but they aren't using them at the moment so when they do we have to agree again incase we have changed our mind

Which we won't

Almost 50. Def no more

lucieloos · 27/02/2023 20:48

Ah this is so lovely to hear from everyone! @stealthbanana sorry to hear about dh I hope that everything works out for you.

I can't believe most of us now have 6 year olds. Where have our babies gone! I'm currently sat watching Alex jones ivf programme which is bringing back some memories. It's so hard when you're in the middle of it all but truly all worth it if you come out the other side.

Grumpelstiltskin · 28/02/2023 20:03

Aww hi everyone! Absolutely love that this thread occasionally updates. Fab to hear from you all.
DD turned 6 last week and is an absolute superstar who loves life and school, but already has flashes of a 16yo's attitude at times. SmileInstadiff DS is 3 and hilarious.
It does all seem a lifetime ago that we were all going through IVF and treatment and I'm so glad that everyone is doing well.

star1980 · 09/04/2023 08:14

Hello everyone! How amazing to hear from you all and get these little updates! @stealthbanana I’m sorry you are having problems with DH, I hope you are able to repair or separate if that is where it must go.
my kids are 5 and 3 now and honestly those days of infertility hell feel so distant. I actually came on here today to find the old threads and try and remember what it was like. I feel like I keep putting my foot into things when I should know better. I find myself asking women if they have children and when they say no I say something trite like “oh good for you” when I don’t know their history and if they’re in pain and I keep wondering: ffs why the hell do I, of all people, ask this question??!
