Same stupid long birth as Bpear so far Angry Still waiting for the delivery suite to have space for me just like last time Angry Got to love the NHS! Talk about bad luck! DH is exhausted so I've had to let him sleep on the bed as I'm awake with contractions anyway. I swear this induction better be kinder to me this time round. On the brightside I am at least having contractions again and breathing through them WineCanula bloody hurts!!!! Confused

Erm, yay for contractions?! Grin How long was bpear's labour? Have you decided on a MN name for her yet? Maybe tpear tiny? Hope they've found you a spare corner of delivery now!

How frustrating but sounds like you're doing well. Yay to breathing through contractions. Hope you can get some rest too and moved into a delivery suite soon.

Awwww tbear is cute Smile especially as I can't imagine her weighing more then 6lbs. With Bpear I got a wet patch of water on my pjs on the Sat night watching Eurovision, contractions started on Monday and then I went into hospital about 3am. Was finally moved to delivery to be induced at 2amish on Wednesday and he arrived 13:08

Must be hard to keep going and upbeat. Think tiny squishy baby. And also not being pregnant anymore!

You've got your MN cheerleaders to keep you going! You can do it! Woo!

At least you're in a solid building with dry things available... everything's just a little damp here & it's so windy! Also, Calf keeps tipping crumbs off his plate inside the tent & DH is desperately trying to make a cuppa but is mostly just traipsing wet grass in...

Tpear was born at 5pm yesterday weighing 5lbs. She's absolutely gorgeous and I'm totally in love! I managed to go through labour with Hypnobirthing and Gas and air at the end. Sadly I was examined 2 minutes before her birth and the doctor told me I was only 2cm dialated. My midwife went off to find the bits i needed for an epidural as I couldn't handle the pain anymore. Whilst she was gone I couldn't stop pushing and out she came 2 minutes later Blush Thanks to not having the proper care at delivery I have a 3rd degree tear and got back from theatre at midnight last night Sad That's it in a nutshell! She is getting me through recovery!

Pear! Congratulations! Flowers Wonderful news. Sounds like you did amazingly well. Strong Mama! Sorry you ended up with a nasty tear but hopefully it'll heal well and quickly.

Let us know how BPear gets on meeting TPear. Rest up and enjoy the newborn bubble.

Awwwwww!! Yay!! Welcome to the world sweet babe!

Shock at the doc declaring you 2cms and you had a baby 2 minutes later and so sorry to hear about the tear. Sitz baths are going to be your best friend. I remember a midwife telling a client who'd had a tear repair- keep your legs together like a lovely mermaid to keep from pulling on the healing tissues. And just to lay low. Rest. No stairs. No picking up the older one as it puts a lot of stress on the pelvic floor. Stay in or around your bed as much as possible. (sorry- midwifing from afar again Blush )

Love your midwifery from afar bring

Hope you're recovering okay Pear . So exciting to have a new baby on the bus.

Things have been good with us. E is teething - has two poking through already, although not the bottom/front middle ones you'd expect. Hes 16 weeks now but they cut through 2 weeks go. Threw his sleep off a bit for a week or so but he's got a bit better again so I'm getting some sleep - you know how your benchmark of a 'good' night changes when you have a baby!

C is great. He's really settled down since he turned 3. It's like all that attention on him helped him feel more secure so he's been great lately.

Other than that, my days are naps and breastfeeding and occasional trips out!

I had a lovely day cuddling tiny pear in bed. She's now 4lbs 10 so I've started expressing...forgot how fun that is! I'm just finishing the last bottle before I can have my reward glass of wine! I haven't slept much but I'm so in love with her that I'm OK. Hopefully we will have a better night!

Glad to hear all is well Lor X

Bring - thank you I shall remember salt baths! The midwife today asked to check my stitches. I told her to politely forget that idea. My consultant only just checked on Wednesday night and the last thing I need is the ice queen peering in! If I had any problems I would call up the hospital straight away. I don't trust her at all.

OMG. After saying I was going to enjoy a glass of wine last night that plan had to be abandoned as I had the worst contraction after pains. DH wanted to call a ambulance Sad Also, my milk is coming in and I am now double the size of Pamela Anderson thanks to tiny refusing to eat. I'm still pumping but it is hell. This is definitely not the fun part! We didn't get a wink of sleep. Hoping that DH mans up and gives me rest today even though I know he's tired Angry

OK I have a plan. Going to try waking tiny up every 2 hours for feeding and a bottle from previous pumping session (only getting tiny amounts) and then I will pump the breast for 15 minutes after. God I hope this is a good plan!!! ShockSad

Obviously I'll go 3hrs between feeds at night.
