& yes, I have been deliberately waiting until exactly 1 year after Lor's post to make a joke about us all being a bit quiet! Grin

I think we're all a bit quiet these days @Loraline!

How's everyone doing? All ok with the newest addition to the @peardrop2 clan?

Hi. Sorry I've been quiet. In definitely not a superstar juggling my 2 and work. I'm just knackered!

Pear amazing news! Star Star So happy for you and delighted you haven't had to deal with the stress of TTC this time. How lovely. C Section sounds like a great plan. As you say, no point in risking bad tearing again. The longer term consequences are too rubbish. Another baby. Wow.

Oh I forgot to say that I’ve got my head around not having a natural birth now. The consultant broke the news soon after tinypear was born when I went for my post birth review. It’s just too risky with the tearing I experienced with both children. Obviously I hate the idea of it being so clinical but I had the most amazing hypnobirthing experience with tinypear so I don’t feel too robbed. I know from experience that the surgery team at my hospital are amazing and since I end up in surgery post birth (both times) anyway it really should make little difference. The difference is this time is that we will be able to plan. DH is self employed so it will be fantastic to plan ahead a little and I walk to school so I don’t need to drive for a while anyway. It should all be semi OK. Plus I’ve been told I won’t find the recovery too dis similar to what I’ve experienced before. We’re not going to find out the gender this time. I think it will be a nice surprise in the theatre to keep me focused on something positive. I always feel like I know what I’m having anyway. The scan is just a confirmation...maybe I’ll get it wrong this time!!! Grin

Thank you Agnu and what good points you make about bpear being older and wiser! I hadn’t really even thought about how I’ll be able to talk to him more. I have a friend who is expecting her 3rd soon and she will have a 6 year old 4 year old... it will be interesting to see how things change for her too. Slightly different as she will have two in school by September. I think I should focus on how I’ll be able to give my love to Tinybpear no matter what as she can stay at home with me and the baby instead of going to a nursery and having me as a working mother etc. I mustn’t let myself get too riddled with guilt about her being the middle child! Fingers crossed she enjoys it Smile

I feel great so far but it’s early days and I didn’t get much sickness with the other two. I was much worse with tinypear (mainly because I wasn’t sitting behind a desk anymore) so it will be interesting to see what happens with sickness and tiredness. I am hungry and have tingly boobs but not much else apart from tiredness. To be honest though I’m always tired Wink

DH thinks I’m behaving like a nutter because I keep saying things like “it’s so weird to go out for a meal and be amongst family/friends who have no idea that I am pregnant”! I think it’s because the whole world knew I was TTC 1&2 so I feel like this will be a real surprise. I am due in October but it will more likely arrive in September because of the c-section. I am pleased not to have another summer baby as bpear is really struggling being one of the youngest in school. He cries every morning at the moment, begging me not to leave him, it’s heartbreaking. The school is amazing and so positive with him so we’re very lucky. He has a fantastic time when he is there and I see so many happy photos and short video clips of him enjoying his time. They say he is lovely but emotionally hasn’t quite developed fast enough like the others so he is struggling to fit into a friendship group. The government has got it so wrong. He would have been far better off starting school at age 5. It’s made him grow up far too quickly and he’s utterly exhausted everyday. Worse at the weekends to the point that I’ve cancelled his swimming lessons as he just can’t cope with any extras. However, he does love school and they’re doing a great job so it’s just a matter of time before he gets there. I think he will be far more settled in Yr1 or Yr2.

How are you finding having 3 Agnu? Is everyday a blur? Wink

How exciting pear, congratulations! Fx it all goes well for you!

I actually think having a smaller gap between 2 & 3 makes sense. bpear is settled in school so you don't have to worry about that change with a newborn as well. He'll be old enough to talk to about it & be able to help out with fetching things & you can make him feel involved & important as the oldest. When are you due? How do you feel about not being allowed to labour naturally? How are you feeling in general?

Hello, it’s 3am and I can’t sleep so it just occurred to me that traditionally I must share my exciting news!! Found out this week that I am pregnant with no3 Smile It’s a massive shock because it’s happened first month of trying 😮 You might remember it took me 1.5yrs to conceive DD so we’re very surprised things have happened so quickly! You hear storires like this so obviously it happens.,,I just didn’t expect it to happen to me at all, There will be a two year gap between middle and last child, I don’t know if that’s good or bad. I’m sure there will be positives and negatives, Naturally I am already freaking out that I’ll have enough time to give both a 2 year old and a baby enough of my time (plus a 5 year old starting Yr1). I think I would always worry though whatever. I have a 3 year gap between bpear and tinypear and that feels quite large as bpear is in school and tiny pear is still not walking unaided. Quite a few of my friends have had small gaps with their first two and then a larger one with their third. I am doing the opposite (could be smaller though).

Still, as always I am mainly wishing for a healthy baby and a safe arrival. I’ve already been told I can’t have anymore natural births so this birth will be much more planned.

I hope everyone else is doing well?

Agnu congratulations!!!! Oh so exciting! Your family is complete Smile or maybe not Wink Anyway, just came on to see if there was news. I hope you’re enjoying all the cuddles and not too many bad nights!!! Got to say it’s rare in my house to get a full nights sleep with a 4 and 1 year old!

Lor glad to hear things are well with you too. It’s quite mad having two isn’t it! I really don’t know how you manage to juggle work on top of it all. Super star ⭐️

I’ve just finished my first term back at college. It’s been amazing. I’m not studying anything important...just a one day a week hobby to get a bit of me time. I have found having two children quite lonely so it’s just been a good distraction as I haven’t got the career to distract me. Anyway, it’s nice to be able to say that I do something other then school runs, cooking and baby classes Wink

Done. Definitely done. 2 is enough for me!

It was that photo with the bear that I saw first. Totally adorable. I love her name too! One of those fantastic, not heard much these days but not weird or unusual names. Really lovely

Thanks Lor! We're all rather besotted with her. The photo of DS2 talking to her with his bear makes me cry - it's just so sweet! I'm not normally an overly sentimental person, must be the hormones!

Glad everything's going well with your 2! Any plans for any more or are you done?

I'm still here! 38+2 now, have a cold & am utterly fed up! I'm swinging wildly between wanting her out & panicking at the thought of having an actual real baby to look after - like I've never done it before! Hmm There's still a couple of things I want to get done around the house so I'm hoping she'll stay in until after next weekend & then I'll be ready to get on with it. Both the others came around 41w but I've heard 3rd babies are often different so I'm hoping for pre-due-date this time. I've got a family event when I'll be 41w so I'm really hoping she'll be out before that... Otherwise I might have her on the hard shoulder! Grin

Hello ladies!!!!

Is anyone out there? I lost you for a very long time but I’d love to hear how you’re all doing? Agnu have you had your 3rd bubba?

I am fine. Ds is settled at school and Dd is now 13 months. Time has flown. Dd daughter and I are full of flu bugs this week but I’m feeling better today.

How did everyone get on with schools? We got our first choice. It seems like a great school but I'm a bit nervous about how we're going to manage it as it's a bit of a journey to get to and is nowhere near the nursery E is in. I'm sure we'll work it out Confused

Agnu - how you doing? How many weeks are you now do you think?

I am so tired Shock well more exhausted then tired because DH let me have a nap this morning but it's not the same. Dd is teething and back to waking 4/5 times a night. Just so exhausting and I am mega behind on chores Sad

On the bright side...weighed myself this week and I back to the same weight that I was when I fell pregnant with Dd. 9 months on and 7 months off. Thanks to no dairy!

pear MIL would probably kit us out with frilly 1950s stuff... It's clothes though, I'm not too fussy! I shall put her in a weird combination of frilly dresses & "boys'" jumpers! Grin

I started an antenatal thread that's only supposed to cover half a month... It's crazy busy already & there's still about another week before those due at the end of the month will reach 4w. I miss having a small, friendly group! Sad

Ahhh yes I suppose that's the difference between having no 2 and 3! Your clothes are well used by now Confused I've had to spend a small fortune on clothes for DD so far because I've discovered that most of what DS had is very boyish or had to be thrown away (thanks to reflux)! So, third time round I really hope we won't have to spend this amount again because it's a real nuisance! I have always brought bpear lots of navy and red so hopefully Dd will make some use of his clothes as she gets older!

I really hope your DM has a better reaction this time Shock Families make everything so complicating Hmm Yay for your MIL buying an entire wardrobe...as long as you like it. My MIL thinks primemark is the best clothes shop Angry

Bring, hope you're doing OK? And Lor! Think we've lost frus and Kitty!

Tbh, I doubt it! Most of our baby stuff was unisex, plus we're not "pink" people except Calf who'd paint the world pink & anything passed the moving stage has pretty much been destroyed by Runt! Seriously, he's got a grand total of one pair of trousers that don't have holes in at the moment! It's ridiculous. I sent him to pre-school in perfectly good trousers with little sign of wear the other day, after 3 hours he came out with muddy/sandy stains & holes in both knees! All their nice t-shirts are worn & washed so regularly that they've got holes &/or stains... our kids generally look a mess! Blush We'll have to buy a bunch of new stuff for this one anyway, but if it's a boy people will assume we've got lots of clothes already, if it's a girl I can see MIL going completely overboard to the point that we won't have to buy her anything until she's 6! Grin It's likely that our DC will be the only grandchildren on that side, & MIL had 2 boys herself so I think she'd be pretty excited about a girl. My parents already have 4 granddaughters so will probably just roll their eyes at another. They're not going to be thrilled about the pregnancy anyway, when I told DM about Runt her response was "I don't really know what to say..." Erm, how about "congratulations"?! Confused

If it's a boy you're going to save so much money on clothes!!

Report
AGnu · 15/03/2017 00:05

Definitely. We did with the others & tbh if it's another boy I'm going to need a little time to get used to that! Would be easier though - there are several boys names we could agree on but we've always struggled with girls names! I've just sat here reeling off lists of girls names... because obviously we must pick one right now! I'm actually feeling a bit panicked about it! Blush Also, I'm crying at everything already. Hmm Blooming hormones!
