dressedupnowheretogo · 26/02/2007 13:16

if we do a weekday it means holiday time for working people /parteners

BLWisbest · 26/02/2007 13:21

Could probably do May but have'nt got dh's shifts yet so can't say a specific date.

But if you aim it for the 29th, you can all bring me birthday presents

BigHotMama · 26/02/2007 13:24

Ok how about a Sunday in June????

lunavix · 26/02/2007 13:45

I can do a sunday in june as long as it's not glastonbury

April is fine for me too, as is may lol. Not the 19th may though.

lunavix · 26/02/2007 13:45

Weekdays not good for us though

burstingbug · 26/02/2007 13:46

sigh Glasto, don't think we're going this year
Hope to get to the Pearl Jam concert though

olivo · 26/02/2007 13:50

hey grannycrackers, hope we dont have all this trouble arranging our meet-up!

Snowboo · 26/02/2007 16:47

I'm not sure when i can do....Most times i guess.

Bursting, i'm going to Dorset this weekend! Any suggestions of lovely places for 6month old, 4 y.o and 13 yo? Need to get them outta the house.

Ds1 finally went back to school after nearly three weeks off, thank god. He was slowly going mad i think

burstingbug · 26/02/2007 17:25

Where in Dorset are you heading snow?

lunavix · 26/02/2007 19:48

snow - moors valley is nice

I'm a dorset girl

Snowboo · 26/02/2007 20:52

Christchurch and i really really really can't wait! Hoping the sea air will help ds and get rid of his tonsilitis once and for all.

Talking of which, is tonsilistis viral or bacterial? Just he's been on AB's for 7 days and theres no real sign of improvement. His temp is down but his throat is still very ulcerated and sore. Think i'l try the homeopathic route before the useless doctors.....

So where are you in Dorset Luna?

Wel Austin had toast for lunch today followed by 2 yogurts. Little piggy. He must be on a growth spurt as he's been non stop eating today.

Eeny, glad you are excited about Alexs 1st birthday, i spoke to one of the mums at school and she thinks i'm mad celebrating Austins. As he won't know any different! But as i explained I WILL! And i want to celebrate his first year as we know how lucky we are to have him. So a Pirate Party sounds fab to me!

Hello everyone else!

lunavix · 27/02/2007 09:20

boo - I'm in Berkshire but I'm from Bournemouth (well boscombe actually but noone needs to know

Tonsillitus can be both it depends how they catch it.

Snowboo · 27/02/2007 11:00

Ah my sis drags me off to Boscombe to march down by the seafront! Not so good when heavily pg and carrying tired ds....
(And don't worry, i won't tell anyone )

BLWisbest · 27/02/2007 11:36

Am jealous of those of you going to and on the south coast.
Tis lovely there.

Well after a truly crap night with Ellis, he is going in his own room tonight.
I cannot cope anymore without no sleep.
On a nice side though, he's started to give kisses
He holds your cheeks and comes to your face with an open mouth
Its so cute!

Snowboo · 27/02/2007 14:35

Awww thats really cute yellow. Can't wait for kisses. At the mo its the heavy handed face patting....

PinkTulips · 27/02/2007 20:12

caleb does kisses too and it's sdorable. slobbery but adorable

lunavix · 27/02/2007 20:24

Very that you found a good mums group to go to, PT

Here there are two sorts - one is full of mums somewhat older than myself. On the upside they breastfeed and don't look at me like a freak for that, on the downside they think I'm an abject freak with the cloth nappies, talk of blw, doing toddler yoga, having piercings, and being younger etc.

Oh the other hand, there's the toddler group with the 'younger' mums - who are all around 16/17/18. They mostly have the odd piercing or tattoo, but they think I'm an abject freak with the breastfeeding, cloth nappies, talk of blw, doing toddler yoga, and (in their eyes) being older.

I can't win!

lunavix · 27/02/2007 20:24

Kiera can't do kisses. She however loves row row row your boat.

PinkTulips · 27/02/2007 20:34

my group is al older moms too but they tolerate the nappy addiction as long as i don't try and convert them, don't seem to notice the piercings and tattooos, have converted them all to BLW and am far too lazy for baby yoga

what piercings do you have (dejá vu... i've asked you that before haven't i?!)

Snowboo · 27/02/2007 22:00

Oh piercings....Them were the days. Due to one getting slightly, ahem, tight shall i say? during pg with ds1 it had to go. Wish i still had it. Now i'm lucky if i can get my earings in! Maybe i'll get a tattoo next. Just to pee dh off. Just an ickle one.

I think i'm too old for some groups but too normal for the others. Just cos i don't clean my kitchen as soon as i've finished my dinner....WHO CARES???? FFS. My house, my rules. And so what if i don't make my bed til i get in it sometimes? Not me!

Oh dear. Rant over. Didn't realise it got me so much

How are things with you Pinky?

lunavix · 27/02/2007 22:06

lol snow, I used to have top standards, Spotless house, even friends joked over how clean it was. Then I fell pregnant with dd and threw up for 19 weeks. I haven't really cleaned since

PT - not many now actually. Both tragus's (traguses? tragi?) and labret if I chose to stick it in... I've been slowly taking them out to try and resemble a 'normal' mother (ahem) I feel rather ashamed of myself. Did have scaffolding, a few various ear ones including tunnels, the back of my neck, lip frenum, both nipples, belly button, tongue... I think that was it! I worked at a piercing parlour a few years back and got a few done for free

Have just the one tattoo on my wrist.. I want one with the kids names but can't see a design that doesn't look too tacky.

You?

lunavix · 27/02/2007 22:11

Is anyone else desperately broody yet? Or just me?

Dh threatens that dd is our last, and so I do seem to be doting on her rather a lot.. I'm kitting her out in cute nursery bedding and trying to squish money together for nursery furniture for her (we don't have the room here and are hopefully moving in the next few weeks)
I got a pram cos I didn't want to have all my babies and never to have had a pram...

It sounds daft doesn't it I desperately wanted four but we really can't afford any more at the moment. Having said that, I don't want three, and four = people carrier and they scare me.

I just love babies

Snowboo · 28/02/2007 09:37

Oh.....my......head! Why oh why did i have two glasses of red last night?? One i'm ok with, but two???? Please slap me someone. Feel dog rough.

Luna, you must be mad!!!! I'm still not broody, but we have agreed maybe, just maybe, when Aust is 3 or 4 we'll try for another. I know it'll be yet another boy but i guess that makes for an easier life. My aunt and nan had 5 boys, nan then went on to have 3 girls and another boy. So i've had 3 boys so far, only another 2 before we reach a girl!

As far as piercings go, i took mine out when pg with ds, got too tight and kept bleeding. (and trying to bf with two extra holes in your nip makes for a somewhat interesting evening out)

Oh what a beautiful day. Or morning. Or hour. Am getting organised once i've finished my typing for dh then going in the garden.

grannycrackers · 28/02/2007 10:00

hello everyone all you lot talking of piercings makes me realise how old i am.

ds rolls and sits up, especially when trying to get hold of anyone's food, but still isn't really mobile. i'm hoping he will entertain himself a little more once he can move about.

olivo - we don't have a problem in jersey with organising a meeting, do we ? that's one advantage of living in such a small place.

we now have a date for ds' operation - the 19th april at the evelina children's hospital. i could do with advice from anyone who's baby has had an op. it says on the letter that he mustn't eat 12 hours before ! i shall search the mumsnet files and perhaps start a thread, although i really should be studying/working/looking afterr the lo's

i hope mumsnet doesn't havre to close down. i've found it really useful

grannycrackers · 28/02/2007 10:00

oh, and btw, you know red wine's good for you, snowboo
