I am jealous of the crawlers as well I cant wait for Alex to do that!

PinkTulips · 25/02/2007 18:20

hey girls, just on quickly before the bedtime scramble.

well done on the crawlers! caleb is giving it a fair go but so far he's only really managed backwards, lol.

BLW is fab... stick with it, after about 2/3 weeks they suddenly get the idea and start shoveling it in.... caleb has had spagetti and everything. today he had blueberry pancakes for breakfast and is munching on pasta and spinich in olive oil now (his favourite)

luna... i know exactly how you feel. i've been here 3 years and still have no proper friends i found a brilliant toddler group though last month where i really get on with some of the women and they're far more my type of people than other group i've gone to so i'm hopeful that soon i won't be such a sad loner. Feathers, my best friend is also the other side of the country, single and in college.... i love her but we have so little in common anymore!

NbgsYellowFeathers · 25/02/2007 18:23

Thats given me some hope Pinky. Lovely to hear that Caleb is doing well with it.

BigHotMama · 25/02/2007 19:59

Great about Kitty crawling Lockets. Lol at caterpillar

Cant wait for Jackson to be on the move, he keeps sticking his bum up in the air when he's on his front but cant grasp how to hold himself up with his arms at the same time bless!

Wow PT Caleb gots a better diet than me lol? Jackson wont chew yet, should I just keep trying do you think? I tried a fish finger without the breadcrumbs the other day and he gave me such a filthy look?

Eeny I cant do meet up in August unless it will be a week day as away in portugal then we got J's birthday party then I'll be working on the bank holiday...hope we can meet up before then...getting all excited at the thought of it.

NBG I'm with you on the whole toddler group and getting to know people as sometimes they are bit cliquey arent they? I say every week that I'll go and its only across the road from me but then I find an excuse. But when I've finished work in few weeks I'll be making an effort as need to get out the house with lil man more, its not fair on him.

Lunavix, whats a bumbo tray? Fill me in

olivo · 25/02/2007 20:19

oh balls, just typed a big long post only to lose it again grrrrrr!

anyway, had THREE whole nights of sleep!!!!

BigHotMama · 25/02/2007 20:31

That sounds like heaven Olivo, have you made any changes or has it just happened she is sleeping through?

NbgsYellowFeathers · 25/02/2007 20:48

If you say that infront of me again Olivo, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to throw something at you.
You Kit Kat Chunky eating sleeping person!

BHM, A bumbo is a moulded seat that allows babys to sit up but they can't actually get out of them or tip them up.
Lots of people love them, lots hate them.
Atm, I could really do with one cause Ellis really wants to sit up but I darent leave him incase he falls and whacks his head on the floor.

Can everyone please send Melsy good health vibes!
Her dd1 got a nasty sicky bug on Thursday, then her dh got it Sat night and then dd2 and now shes starting and shes not a happy bunny.
So good vibes coming mels!

and piss off nasty bug

BigHotMama · 25/02/2007 20:53

Ah Melsy you poor things. Sounds awful!

BigHotMama · 25/02/2007 20:56

Lol just seen them and I thought they were potties they look so comfy, is there an age limit on them does anyone know?

NbgsYellowFeathers · 25/02/2007 21:04

Not sure hun.
I would imagine so.

olivo · 25/02/2007 21:43

BHM - i think the bumbo goes up to about a year or so. i use it for dd to sit in while i'm in the shower etc, just give her a few toys and it keeps her in one place. they are fab IMO oh and also the sleep thing has just happened, after waking every 3 hours since forever...under no illusions it will last though!

melsy, hope you're feeling better soon x

YF - no more KK for me, chunky or otherwise, the new choc of choice is Fry's peppermint cream........

dressedupnowheretogo · 25/02/2007 22:57

lol ok right meet up at either alton towers or drayton manor a weekend in april may dh/p family members et al lets decide and go for it

im drunk for second night on the trot my poor baba all that formula

and baby groups arent that bad honest

PinkTulips · 26/02/2007 09:31

some of them are!

the first baby group i went to was a nightmare... they all looked at me like a loon for being younger and pierced, almost died of shock to see me breastfeeding past 2 weeks old and pursed their lips and got really condecending when they found out dp was unemployed.... barely spoke to me. absolutely hated going but now i've found a fab group of lovely moms who all bf, talk to me like a human being instead of looking down their noses and are really inclusive...... so much nicer, just wish i'd gone along sooner!

{{{hugs}}} melsy, hope the bug passes quickly babe

dreamydowler · 26/02/2007 09:46

ok Alton towers and I can do the following dates sun 15th april, sun 22nd april, sat28th april, sun 29th april, sat5th may, sun 6th may, mon 7th may (bank holiday) sat12th may, sun 13th may. There will probably be about 12 of us but the teenagers will no doubt go off and explore by themselves. I suggest we all write the dates we can do down and then we will pick the most popular one. Alton towers does have hotel facilities too or there may be some b and bs nearby for those travelling a long way.

BigHotMama · 26/02/2007 09:53

Ok out of those dates dreamy listed I can only do Sunday 15th April or Sunday 22nd....(May bank Holiday will be mega busy btw, queues will be horrendous and everywhere)I will try and persuade my DH to come and get away from the footy on the t.v. (He's bit obsessed )

dressedupnowheretogo · 26/02/2007 10:27

wellwas talking to dh and he suggested we all go o the alton towers water park more for thebabies than anything what do you all think im not bothered either way maybe we'll go for 22nd of april

burstingbug · 26/02/2007 10:55

Morning, Hope everyone is pretty much back to full health - Melsy get better soon
Still no crawling here, although I have a feeling it won't be long! Still on 2 meals a day for Joe, but he is having very little breastfeeds, not sure if its a problem or not - must remember to go to baby clinic tomorrow!
Thinking of increasing to 3 meals next week maybe as he has eats lots for breakfast and dinner.
Still potty training George, no accidents yesterday!!!!!!! He takes his nappy off when he's ready in the morning then uses the potty from then on till bed time, we have no problems putting the bedtime nappy on thank god. Still not brave enough to venture out without a nappy though, maybe I should just bite the bullet
Dog training is getting better, he came 3rd out of 6 last week in a test.

Re the meet up. Alton towers sounds great but is too far for me, neither me or dh drives so it'd be a pita to get too. How much stuff is there to do up there with small ones in tow anyway, especially if you've got a small toddler too? I've been once but it was a fair few years ago.

dressedupnowheretogo · 26/02/2007 11:06

thats why my dh suggested the water park bursting

there is a train service through midland mainline which works out withhalf price train fare where abouts are you ??? bursting

burstingbug · 26/02/2007 11:14

Dorset on the southerly coast. Were at the end of the trainline in Weymouth. Well, we're on Portland, so bit further still.

BigHotMama · 26/02/2007 11:50

Waterpark sounds fun!
Burstinbug, what a PITA, wish you could make it! I suppose it will be tricky if you cant drive hun?

BLWisbest · 26/02/2007 11:51
