thanks everyone Im hoping she will join the antenatal group for october soon just dont want to push her too much. Went to see her head of sixth form this morning who was really supportive at least we know she can continue with her a levels. Poor Ellis really hope Sophie-jane doesnt get them. She is completely bottle fed now she just went off the breast she has two meals a day too and sleeps a good 10-12 hours a night. She is starting to sit unaided and is loving her baby group especially row row row the boat. Ive been going to baby signing with her too its great has anyone else been?

Hi.... had to take Talia back to the hospital on saturday again. She had a temp of 39.7 and her wheezing was bad again. They kept her in for general observation. She is teething at the same time so that didn;t help.

There is definitely some nasty bugs around... the last few days I've felt really miserable myself. My throat, nose eyes all aching. Just what I need!!

Melsy - My DH is a building surveyor and I work with him. I used to work for an investment bank in London but the hours were a killer once I had dd1.

Someone asked about the LO's sitting. Talia does sit up and tries to stand but only with some support and lots of cushions.. She doesn't roll (but i have been teaching her) Why? I ask myself.

I have to keep remembering that Talia was 6 weeks early so although she is 7 months tomorrow her development is more of a 5.5 month baby. So i try very hard not to compare but it is hard.

grannycrackers · 20/02/2007 14:53

micku - i hope your lo is feeling better. i used to work as a personal banker and although the bank was an excellent employer i had to give up as i found it too stressful and everyone was expected to do extra work, and we were pushed to sell a lot of investments. i couldn't keep it up with family commitmnents too.

dreamy - congrats. it's great being a granny. me and my dd are going to share some of our childcare.

someone was looking for a wedding present ? a safe bet is a plain, silver picture frame. goes with any type of decor

i have started another thread - best bit of childbirth - helps to keep my mind off coughs/colds, etc

olivo · 20/02/2007 15:15

hey grannycrackers - will give you a shout when we come back from our holidays and we'll arrange ransoms?
hope your grandson is feeling better.

PinkTulips · 20/02/2007 17:31

lo all

i'm ok snow, thanks. dp groveled and agreed to make some changes so he's back for now.

congrats to your dd dreamy, it'll be tough and scary for her but then having a baby always is no matter what your age so i'm sure she'll be ok.

there are a few other teen moms on MN.... nappyaddict is one and there are a few others and there are absolutely tonnes of young moms like me. {{{hugs}}} to all of you and the best of luck to her. and well done her for telling you so soon, shows what a great mom you are that she felt comfortable telling you straight off.... i was 16 weeks and 22 weeks before i told my parents about mine!

Caleb's eyes are no better so he's been to the doc for eye drops but he's still in great form despite he's eyes being half glued shut poor mite. he's attempting to crawl (backwards ) much to my horror as he was half off the bed before i caught him last night!

i was holding a teeny little 2 week old today and my womb was positively twanging with broodiness.... how quickly we forget!

Snowboo · 20/02/2007 18:55

Micku, hope Talia is ok now, these temps are a real nightmare! Ds1 has now, after 3 weeks, got his under control. Big hugs to her

Dreamy, congratulations! Obviously a bit of a shock but at least she has a wonderful mum to turn to. I have friend with a ds same age as ds1, she was 16 when she had him, will see if she has any useful numbers/websites for your dd.

Pink, glad you ok hunny. Kept worrying about you! (I'm a natural born worrier....)

Well i still have conjunctivitus. Getting fed up with blurred vision and runny eye. Ds1 keeps asking why is my eye sad....bless.

grannycrackers · 21/02/2007 10:42

look forward to arranging that after your hols, olivo

sarahlou1uk · 21/02/2007 18:51

Snowboo - try bathing your eye with warm milk. Drops from the doctor didn't work for me so my friend suggested milk and it worked for me!!!

NbgsYellowFeathers · 22/02/2007 10:19

Ooooo I'm sooo excited.
I've bought this pushchair
Should be here tomorrow!
So selling on ebay really does pay off!

eenybeeny · 22/02/2007 14:02

Hi everybody! Hope you are all well. Feels like I keep missing so much on here.

What do you all do all day to entertain the babies? I am struggling to keep Alex entertained.

Yellow like the pushchair!

Micku - Alex was in hospital this weekend with a high temp as well but they didnt keep him in. Now he just has a bad cough. Hope little Talia is getting better.

Pink what happened with your DP and also Calebs eye???

eenybeeny · 22/02/2007 14:04

Dreamy congratulations!!!!

eenybeeny · 22/02/2007 17:27

thread killer! maybe I should stay away!

micku5 · 22/02/2007 17:32

I was just wondering last night if we are still going to arrange a meet up? (or did I miss it )

olivo · 23/02/2007 09:51

micku - don't think you've missed a meet-up! grannycrackers and i are having our own meet-up you'e welcome to meet us here in jersey !

olivo · 23/02/2007 09:52

am feelng a little high because.....

dd slept through the night!!!

micku5 · 23/02/2007 09:59

Oh I would love to! One of my clients when I was working was based in Jersery, unfortunately I never got to arrange any meetings there... they always came to our offices damn! lol

micku5 · 23/02/2007 10:00

oh and congrats on dd2 sleeping thru. It's a god's send when they do!

BigHotMama · 23/02/2007 10:14

Micku, I'm definately up for a meet up in the spring/summer maybe? How bout the rest of you?

Lol Eeny...everyone's a thread killer lately on here...You feel like people are ignoring you dont worry chick! (It makes you feel paranoid that people dont like you lol) Its good to see you back on here and great that Alex is keeping you busy .

Jackson is loving his bouncer nowadays and goes hell for leather in it. I so miss him during the day though and cant wait until I'm back at home with him. Its heart wrenching saying goodbye in the morning before work.

How are all the lo's doing now?? Getting better I hope x x

BigHotMama · 23/02/2007 10:16

Its great feeling when they sleep through isnt it Olivo Jackson seems to do it about once a fortnight lol.

olivo · 23/02/2007 10:28

once a fortnight BHM? i'm expecting every night from now on !!

seriously thouhg, it means i can probably drop the night feed and just carry on with the dream feed - handy as i'm stopping bf next week.

olivo · 23/02/2007 10:30

oh and eeny - i know what you mean about the constant entertainment and running out of ideas! dd's new game is to throw all the toys i've carefully lined up on her high chair and bang on the tray till i get them for her

BigHotMama · 23/02/2007 10:47

Lol Olivo Handy for you if you can drop the night feed. Jackson hasnt had a night feed now since he was about 20 weeks and tbh has slept better since moving into his own room and in his cotbed, although some nights he wakes for his dummy, he throws them up the wall and they land under his cot so I have about 10 sterilised dummies on standby lol

PinkTulips · 23/02/2007 10:49

the only thing that entertains caleb is to be held.... constantly... all day long...... while wrestling me

i don't remember dd ever being this clingy and she was bad! he's one the floor playing now which is lovely as he can't do that when dd is home as she runs him over in her car, lol!

eeny, hope alex is ok now.... so worrying when they're sick. caleb has a nasty case of conjunctivitis in both eyes and is on AB eyedrops. he's very good about it though and they're really starting to work now. he hates having them put in though prro thing and the last lot at night seem to make his eyes really itchy when he's tryiong to sleep so we're having some difficult evenings to say the least!

micku, sorry, i missed that post about talia..... poor little girl, i hope she's feeling alot better now.

olivo · 23/02/2007 11:23

PT - lol at your dd in her car

what is it with these babies and throwing things? and being held? my dd is increasingly clingy but i read somewhere that the whole separation anxiety thing starts at about this age.

BigHotMama · 23/02/2007 11:23

Jackson keep eyeing up the remote control for the TV so have taken the batteries out so he can happily play with it without messing up the tv stations

Ah poor Caleb, sounds like he has been poorly for ages with different things Pink? Hope he gets better soon chick! I think clingeness is just their way of showing how much they love you and want to be with you...Jackson gets like it if I put him down sometimes he just cries as if his world has ended .
