Ohhh, I feel a long post coming on!
I'm so glad I found this thread (thanks DQ for pointing me in the right direction!) It's great to catch up with you all!
Well, Lucas will be one on 8th Dec (only just over a week away, I can't believe it!). He has 6 teeth (2 bottom and 4 top) which all came through together and gave us a couple of weeks from hell. He seems to have stopped for the meantime and we have our happy little boy back.
He is sleeping well which is great after the first few weeks when I remember not getting any sleep at all - Kangel I feel for you so much, have you tried giving him a dummy? I swore I wouldn't with Lucas but I did resort to one in the end and now he sleeps soundly. Also you could try controlled crying now he is older. you can actually hire night nurses which will come and do it for you - they rekon they can crack it in about 2 nights! Do you still feed him at night?
Lucas has been walking for the last few weeks and so I have enrolled him in Tumble tots classes as part of his b'day present. I think he is going to love getting into mischief with his cousin who is coming with us. The only problem with him walking quite early is that I can't find any walking shoes to fit him as his feet are too small - they all seem to start at size 4 and they look like clown shoes on him! He is in cruising shoes from Clarks but they aren't much good outdoors in this weather.
I agree that the best part about having him is the relationship he has with dd. They love each other so much and it warms my heart when they chuckle together (usually because they are foing something naughty) but it makes me smile so never mind! I would love to fill my house with lots more babies and have a huge family but I don't think I could stand pregnancy again. After loosing a little boy before Lucas my pregnancy with him was quite fraught and it's not something I'd want to go through again. Dh and I have spoken about perhaps fostering one day and I have been considering donating my eggs but thats a whole other story!
Scully - I so jelous of you being in Aus. Dh and I have been trying to decide where to go on holiday next year. We are considering long haul but think we may stay within Europe for one more year - well we'll see!
I'm really enjoying being a part-time career woman! I love the fact I am at home with Lucas more than I'm at work but it still gives me that time awy which I think I need.
Lastly, for Lucas's birthday we are doing Tumble tots in the morning and then his bog sister is taking him to an indoor play area after school with her cousins. Then it's back to ours for tea, cake a take away for tea and lots of family visiting with presents!
Right, think thats me done - sorry it's so long (and I'm really busy at work today but I couldn't resis posting!)
