I think our thread is dying a natural death as our kids get older. I feel sad because I've loved this thread so much and having you all here has been such a support over the years.

In my exciting life the main thing is minimopsy catching nits Lots of combing going on but I ordered a nitty gritty comb online. It arrives tomo and I hope it is as good as the (mumsnet) reviews say!

Oh and Figgy, what was minions like? Did your little boy sit through it? Would love to take minim to cinema but not sure she'd sit through a whole movie quietly ...

Ds has been to cinema a few times and as he would happily watch tv from morning til night we never have concerns he won't sit nicely. Minions was awful I couldn't wait for it to be over quite frankly I've sat through some awful kids films but minions is up there as some of the worst.

Yuck on the nits have avoided that joy so far good luck with that.

The thread has died as most people are now posting on the secret FB group rather than here it's a shame for you and northern as you not on FB.

We off on holiday Saturday starting to feel sad about leaving ds now but my mum here Friday he will have a great time with her and then he's off to PIL for the last 48 hrs until we pick him up. Then when back and off these AF delaying tablets it's back to ttc.

He will be grand Figgy if anything like minimopsy... If her granny is there she couldn't care less about me!! Just enjoy the lovely break and the opportunity for a lie in and a few drinks and some uninterrupted morning hanky panky

sadly I think you may be right figgy, it's intermittent. now mine are 3,7 and 9-going-on-13 I just don't hang about mumsnet so much anymore.
I do tell TONS of new mums/pregnant ppl to check it out though... do I get. badge for boosting the next generation of mumsnetters?

It's a shame the thread has tailed off, although in honesty I think some of that is because the Facebook group is more secure. So we can moan about otherhalfs and toddlers without the chance of it being linked back to us!

I'd say there is about ten or more of us who still post regularly on there. Maybe you and northern could create fake Facebook profiles just for using the group. Would be lovely to see you both over there if you did

I've come to poke my head in. Lost the threads around the 2nd incarnation but this one's just popped up on active threads. Can't believe they're coming up to 4 now, and school place applications will be imminent. Sigh.

We had our first "proper" a&e emergency yesterday with a smack to the head ending in being glued back together. DS was very brave. I was not.
