Greetings from Scotland where it is chucking down with rain ds having a great time with his cousin we going swimming in a bit then visiting some friends this afternoon. Might sneak in Jurassic world later since we have on tap babysitting until Tuesday when we head back. Grin

Figster · 28/06/2015 09:58

My mum wants to take ds to minions might let her and sit that one out I don't "get" the minions

FreeLovingHippy · 28/06/2015 18:51

Hi its H & A mum Hmm

Mmm after today and the trouble with A's club I'm not doing great. In fact I think its crisis time help time but dh thinks I'm just panicing. I haven't slept in 24 hours, I'm depressed and all the things that go with it Sad

I keep having that sinking tummy feeling like when you go over a bump in the road too fast in the car and your tummy goes funny. That Hmm

I know its not the end of the world but Aaron is so upset. I have deactivated my fb account for a bit as I just want to be a hermit for abit. I simply just feel so sad for A as he didn't do anything wrong and thinks they kicked him out as he said he would play the Nationals and the Club then said no they didn't want him. So he is being left out and feels like they don't want him and now they have proved it for him Sad

I think for a 6yo it is the end of the world and I'm very angry and sad that adults did that to my child. I feel so low right now

We will be fine with a bit of time and I will be back. I suggest if you are friends with a snake you defriend it Wink

I think I feel worse than A at the moment who is just saying "can I join another team now * kicked me out?" Sad

Aethelfleda · 28/06/2015 19:54

Aw, hippy, sorry to hear about the problems with A. Maybe give it a few days and then contact them to see if they can get him back just for practices? He's so small I can't believe they would exclude him (from memory you said on FB they wanted him to play out of his usual position). Anyway, it's horrid but he will be ok, maybe think of a positive thing you've "never had time to do" up until now (eg trampolining club, skateboarding, bowling, Beavers ) and on the days you would be doing hockey, do the "new thing" instead?

Minion film was v silly and funny. It's not gonna win oscars but the kids loved it and there were plenty of laughs and pop culture references/pastiches for the grownups too.

FreeLovingHippy · 28/06/2015 21:58

I will give him a month off and then contact other teams to see if they have room for another netminder Blush

They have blamed my fb post as to not letting him play the Nationals. I didn't think I said anything bad about the club or individual just that my son was upset and I hate to feel like my own fb pages needs to be cencored in case adults can't cope with a child's POV Sad

Minion film sounds good Grin

NorthernChinchilla · 29/06/2015 09:19

Off to the beach today, so need to pack up all the necessaries. Got some frozen drinks and am going to start packing up blankets and towels.
Just worried I'll find it too hot!

mopsytop · 29/06/2015 21:50

Sorry to hear about A hippy Hmm

Northern hope the beach was fun abc not too hot!! We went to singing group and playground today. The excitement ...

mopsytop · 30/06/2015 12:32

Zero laundry achieved! I don't think that's ever happened since I had kids. And will only last until this evening. But still! Yay.

FreeLovingHippy · 30/06/2015 20:28

It is so hot here we have spent all day in the garden having fun. Aaron has a new Lego game so is happy for now. We have booked tickets to go see minions on Saturday to take his mind off not playing and we are all looking forward to going.

Hope was Kent to go all day at bursary today but we never got the letter. I think she will be OK without going today as the holidays are long for little ones she would have forgotten by the time she starts. She has spent all day using the potty or the toilet so we have finally cracked toilet training Grin

She is excited about starting big girl school, its so cute Grin

We are going to sort her bed out at the end of July and get her sleeping in her own bed all night.

When she starts in September I'm planning on joining a gym so I'm on a diet at the moment and I'm planning on lossing some weight. I'm also going to get dh to give me driving lessons and I'm reading the highway code. I'm a girl with a plan!!!

I need to learn how to drive before dh can't anymore and I want to feel better about myself so I think this is the way to go and then when dd starts school fulltime I can look for work and rope MIL in for care duty Wink

PartTimeProcrastinator · 01/07/2015 21:54

I'm impressed Mopsy its been a long time since I hit Zero laundry!

Cute that H is excited about big girl school! DS has been asking about school a lot lately as most his preschool class are going this year.

Finished work for the week so now have a few days at home before DS and I are off to Spain with my parents and siblings, my dads very kind retirement treat for the family.

Figster · 04/07/2015 21:54

Ptp have a lovely time we going to take ds abroad next year before we are trapped into term time only holidays.

AF arrived today I'm beyond miserable ..........fucking periods!!!!

mopsytop · 06/07/2015 13:04

Sounds nice PTP.

Sorry about period Figgy HmmHmmHmm

Rain here after gorgeous week. Glad it is a bit cooler. I'm not really a hot weather girl.

NorthernChinchilla · 06/07/2015 19:53

Ooh that sounds lovely PTP, have a fantastic time.
I'm so glad the weather's just gone back to normal, last week nearly finished me off.

Went and saw the new kitten my Dad and family got, she's very cute and being soooooo fussed over Grin DS terrorised her with affection in the way only toddlers can!

Got huge recruitment round over next few weeks: volunteers, so all interviews are evening/weekend (eeek) and we've got 45 Shock people to fit in (double eeek)!

mopsytop · 07/07/2015 13:26

This time last year Mr Mopsy and I were pacing the corridors of the Children's hospital in the most anxious wait of my life, hoping it was 'just' appendicitis and not something far worse, as the doctors feared. A burst appendix and pretty bad infection ended up being 'good' news. Hope we don't have to go through something like that again. Parents who cope with sick kids are just amazing, I think.

Figster · 09/07/2015 08:54

Moody we've been lucky with ds he's pretty indestructible Healthwise I can only really think of him being ill with a virus once.

Spending the next three working days in back to back consultation meetings with underprepared managers I'm going to be in the firing lineHmm

As predicted AF has arrived early I am now due next month on the first day of my holiday I need to get to the doctor to talk to them about these pills I can take to delay it but assume it means no TTC this month not really feeling like I can take a month off aethel any views I wouldn't ask but with work as it is I won't get to the doctor till the middle of next week

NorthernChinchilla · 09/07/2015 09:27

Personally fig, I'd get the pills; it's one month, maybe two that you'll lose which isn't a huge amount, and if I remember rightly this is a big, long-awaited, child-free holiday?

Got home just before ten last night; will probably be half 8/9 tonight, and then all day Saturday and two evenings next weekConfused
Could do with a break myself!

Figster · 09/07/2015 11:59

Northern work sucks!! It's a fact The fact you'll miss lo at the weekend is not on do you get paid to work extra like that??

mopsytop · 11/07/2015 10:28

Hope work not too pants today Northern. Working weekends sucks.

Just ran 10k. In 1h20 which is so ridiculously slow Hmm hey ho you have to start somewhere

NorthernChinchilla · 11/07/2015 14:26

I do get paid at least, though I'd rather not be spending a Sat in a police station.... hope you're all having better weekends than me!

Mopsy if I tried running 10k I'd be proud to manage it in a week. Plus my knees would give way.
How are you doing now, are you feeling less down?

mopsytop · 12/07/2015 15:39

Omg just went for lunch with Mr Mopsy. Fried chicken, waffles and maple syrup. I ran 10k yesterday and 7k this morning but I feel like I need to run a marathon now. Yum but never again!!!!

Figster · 12/07/2015 18:10

aw waffles nom nom!!

we were out for dinner last night I had a giant cous cous and halloumi salad it was lush!!

love a bit of squeeky cheese

mopsytop · 12/07/2015 22:15

Am a fan of the squeaky cheese myself figs! Yuuuummmm

Figster · 15/07/2015 20:03

Oh dear ds been on the thinking step today for hitting or for having not nice hands today Confused

mopsytop · 17/07/2015 11:43

Off to see a friend later who I haven't seen for FOUR years! Can't wait.

Poor mopsyboy is unwell; he's had a temp and snotty/bit chesty for three days and also teething. Think is a virus on top of teething but not sure how much of a fever teething can cause. It has been 38.5-39, so inclined to think is virus. Hope he is ok for me to leave with his granny for a couple of hours before Mr Mopsy gets home but don't want to leave him if he's unhappy.

Aethelfleda · 18/07/2015 23:54

hope you had a good time mopsy!

figgy, you're not meant to take norethisterone if you might be pg, so yep, best avoiding TTC this month if you want to take them. But d'yknow what, if it's a hol you've really been waiting for I'd say go for the meds, there will be many other months and who knows, maybe the relaxing break will be the kick your ovaries are waiting for???

mmm, cheese. (wasn't there an mmmmcheese on the thread a while back?)
