FiRaffe · 13/06/2015 09:45

Wine, don't worry about weekly weigh ins. We've been on it from the beginning. I just look at it as a nice opportunity to see how much he's grown. I feed on demand too but they keep raising formula or expressed bottles.....

Love getting good supermarket deals Penguin. I think we'll more and more be going at reductions time!

Great sleep kismac. DS didn't keep up his long sleeping but we did get 3 or 4 hour stints so not too bad

cinnamongreyhound · 13/06/2015 10:26

Sam slept 10-10 again with 1 1/4hrs up at 3 and my big boys let me sleep until 8.15 so not bad! I did fall asleep in the sofa again last night so stiff neck again!

Warm and sticky here but very wet! Taking my mum for afternoon tea today Smile

I agree FiRaffe, I like getting Sam weighed.

PenguinPoser · 13/06/2015 14:46

I like getting DD weighed too but I'm holding off as my health visitor kindly suggested I didn't need to do it every week! Will get her weighed this week or next.

Enjoy your afternoon tea cinnamon! I've just bought afternoon tea vouchers for 2 best friends whose birthdays are this coming week. Got myself one too BlushGrin

FiRaffe · 13/06/2015 20:17

Hope your afternoon tea was nice. I will treat DH and me to one at Pennyhill Park when DS is a bit bigger. We love going there but at over £30 a head it's a definite treat and we won't be able to take a tiny one!

Had an indoors day today, helping DH edit our local village magazine. DS hasn't been all that helpful! I did read him out the awful article I was doing.... I can't believe how bad the English was!

cinnamongreyhound · 13/06/2015 20:55

Thank you, it was lovely! I'm knackered now, ran parkrun this morning and then a day wandering round the shops some of it with grizzly baby and lots of it with two fed up boys was exhausting. Typically for my first afternoon tea they ran out of the stands so we had it on wooden boards. We went to Bill's which seems to have restaurants all over and it was a lovely place, would like to go back for a meal some time.

PenguinPoser · 14/06/2015 09:57

You've both got me wanting afternoon tea now! The point of getting the vouchers for my friends is that we all go together but finding a day is proving tricky at the moment. At least it's something to look forward to.

Hehe FiRaffe that was probably an educational experience for your ds Smile his English skills will be fabulous!

Had a reasonable night here again touch wood. Busy day planned today visiting various family members so lots of in and out of the car seat for dd - bet she gets grumpy!

Wineandchoccy · 14/06/2015 12:41

I want it to rain and clear the air it is really warm but not sunny and feels muggy and dd is like a hot water bottle when feeding her.

We have no plans today so think we are just going to go for a walk now I've wished for rain it will probably start when we are out with the pram!

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and babies are being good Smile

FiRaffe · 14/06/2015 14:43

We need the rain to break the muggy day too. Dh is currently mowing the lawn... which isn't helping my hayfever, but we looked like the unkempt house on the street so had to be done!!!

Hope she hasn't been grumpy Penguin and I hope your visits were fun.

We're doing the Surrey meet in Bill's cinnamon, so glad it was good.

PenguinPoser · 14/06/2015 18:21

As predicted she's overtired and grumpy! Trying to get her off for a nap but it's a bit close to bedtime really for naps! Oh well. It's been cold and wet all day here! Sun just coming out now. Waiting for my mum to come and visit. Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 14/06/2015 19:33

We've had rain here all day too PenguinPoser Sad. Sorry to hear dd is grumpy, hope that doesn't mean she's up too late.

We've been cleaning our house as we haven't done it properly since Sam was born and with feeds and cuddles in between has taken most of the day! Dh decided he wanted to go to the pub (which he never does and doesn't usually like them!) but we got delayed because he had someone coming to look at his bike who was late. So I put the timer on the oven and we went for a quick drink which was actually really nice, very light drizzle on us while the boys belted around the play area, very relaxed end to Sunday and my chicken and leek pie was yummy Smile

FiRaffe · 14/06/2015 20:19

Sounds lovely cinnamon. My house desperately needs cleaning but I don't seem to have time when it's just me and DS.

Have tried some dairy again today after 6 weeks off. I don't know what to look out for to see if he's still allergic as our trigger was bad colic crying which seems to have generally settled to short periods in the evenings. Fingers crossed he's grown out if it

PenguinPoser · 15/06/2015 06:46

Hope you're ok with the dairy again Fi it would be good if you didn't have to restrict your diet anymore. I totally know what you mean about house needing cleaning and tidying. Mine is desperate for it. Going to try today but as you say when it's just you and baby it's almost impossible to keep on top of it! Don't understand how they take up so much time!

Sounds nice cinnamon I do miss things like that just deciding to go to the pub etc. but I guess no real reason we couldn't take dd! My mum is going to watch her one evening this week for a couple of hours just so me and DH can go for tea Smile will be nice.

I don't know what I'm going to do this week... Need some plans. Water babies this afternoon for a start. Hope dd is better than last week I felt mean as she cried when she went underwater.

cinnamongreyhound · 15/06/2015 16:49

Good luck with the diary FiRaffe!

Hope water babies goes better than last week PenguinPoser!

Glad it's not just my house. I just feel that I want to enjoy the weekends and then get very lazy! Today has been pretty busy and have managed about 10 mins total with all three little ones asleep together Sad. I'm really starting to resent dh getting sleep now Blush Sam took a while to go to sleep last night and I really just wanted to punch him every time I got up! What makes it worse is he rolls onto my side and hugs my pillow which he thinks keeps it warm when actually all it does it makes it sweaty and out of shape Angry. I guess it's just accumulating and I'm getting more and more tired with little chance to catch up. The 10mins I did have today with the kids sleeping I set an alarm on my phone in case I fell asleep and missed the school run!

FiRaffe · 15/06/2015 21:29

I'm feeling that too cinnamon. I'm resenting DH getting sleep, especially when he moans about being tired. I have no idea how you must be feeling!

Had a really busy day and DS has decided his favourite activity today was screaming. I really hope we get a good night!

PenguinPoser · 15/06/2015 21:39

Ah cinnamon that sounds really tough... I don't know how you are coping with it all Flowers can you kindly suggest to him to get off your pillow for a start? I like getting back in to a cold pillow - can't stand a warm pillow! Or take it with you say you need it for comfort when feeding. Does he help out with the nights much? I know you're ebf so he can't feed but if ds3 just needs settling could DH take a turn? I know he's working but so are you.

Hope you get a good night too Fi.

Been a weird day - not sure if dd is a bit under the weather. She's been sick more than usual and sleepy most of the day, has a sticky eye and difficult settling to bed just now. I can hear her on the monitor think she's awake but not crying. Will see how she is tomorrow. Water babies wasn't much better - she doesn't seem to like underwater swims but was ok the rest of the time. The instructor was really good though and gave me lots of reassurance that dd was ok and slightly different ways to do things to make it better for her.

Not sure whether to go to baby social tomorrow, I found it hard work last week! Will see how I feel about it in the morning.

Wineandchoccy · 16/06/2015 01:16

I woke up needing a wee and now I can't get back to sleep yet dd is fast asleep snoring away, how unfair is that!

We went to the baby group this afternoon and made Father's Day cards with footprints on them, dd slept through the group but my art skills look like dd made it I am not very creative.

I hate a hot pillow cinnamon I would be telling DH to leave it alone, I hope Sam is having a good night so you get some rest.

Hope your dd is ok penguin its a worry when they are not 100%

firaffe I hope reintroducing dairy is going ok and the colicky crying doesn't return.

I'm going to try and get back to sleep I bet dd wakes just as I am dozing off, night all.

cinnamongreyhound · 16/06/2015 04:25

Thank you, I had a gentle word and laugh but said he will stop. He's currently snoring and didn't wake when I got up so guess he won't have moved when I get back! It's not that we have bad nights really, Sam wakes once and most nights he goes back down within 30mins. It's nights like Sunday where I'm up and down settling him until 11.30 that knacker me out! We are 10pm bed people even without a baby! I probably have one night a week where he takes an hour plus to go back to sleep so not bad, I just don't get chance to catch up and he doesn't think him take him downstairs on a Sunday morning and let me snooze.

Hope your unhappy day doesn't mean you've had a rubbish night FiRaffe!

I'm not sure id like being dunked either PenguinPoser, I didn't put mine under for quite a while. We had a very sucky day yesterday too but not unhappy about it just kept bringing bits of milk up. Give baby social another go, you might meet a new mum who wasn't there last week.

Hope you got back to sleep wineabdchoccy!!!!

cinnamongreyhound · 16/06/2015 07:02

Yep like a huge star across the entire bed when I got back in! But having got into bed before 11pm I didn't feel the rage Wink

FiRaffe · 16/06/2015 07:15

I agree with cinnamon Penguin, always worth giving it another chance because people will hopefully recognise you this week and chat more making it easier, but see how you feel.

Cinnamon that's good. I don't think they realise what they do in their sleep! I do find it funny though seeing things DS does in his sleep DH does too!

Pretty good night, 9-3 then 4-6.30. Just cuddling to sleep then hopefully at least another hour. I also got 5oz expressed but my god my boobs hurt!

cinnamongreyhound · 16/06/2015 08:10

I long for a 9pm bedtime FiRaffe! Last night I took him up with ds1&2 and put him in a sleepsuit and he joined in bedtime, then gave him his medicine and fed him but still didn't actually put him into bed until 10.45 as he just kept waking up as soon as he stopped feeding. Sorry you're still in pain Sad, are you using the thrush cream or did you not bother trying?

PenguinPoser · 16/06/2015 11:17

I was naughty and didn't go Blush I know I should have! But dd was just going down for a nap plus I have a headache this morning. I like the breastfeeding group better so will try and go there tomorrow unless we are delayed at the doctors (2nd injections already!!)

Might have to go and get Father's Day presents sorted this afternoon. Need to get out and do something anyway. Going to try and nap now while dd is see if my headache goes away.

Really hope you can get a couple of early nights soon cinnamon to catch up!

Fi sorry you're still in pain Sad

I used the pump this morning just for 10min and it made my nipple bleed Shock not sure why...

FiRaffe · 16/06/2015 19:09

Yep, trying the thrush cream but not making any noticeable difference.

The bleeding isn't good Penguin, maybe cracked nipples and need to use nipple cream?

kismac · 16/06/2015 20:27

Oh I'd be mad if DH moved onto my side of the bed. Im the bed hog and there's only room for one of us. Ha ha.

Sorry your boobs hurt Fi but that's some impressive pumping!

Bleeding nipples. Eek! Maybe you need a larger funnel on the breast pump? Hope the injection wasn't too bad for the little one too Penguin.

Wee one has been struggling with wind but we've had two massive poos today and she seems a lot happier after having grumpy couple of days. She was in such good spirits that I managed to mop the floors! No naps today though but fingers crossed for a good night.

GP 6 week check tomorrow and I need to go find a gift for my friend who also just had a baby who Im meeting on Friday for a cuppa.

cinnamongreyhound · 16/06/2015 20:58

What is your pump PenguinPoser? I Didn't get on with the tommee tippee and although it didn't make me bleed it did rub and bruise my nipple.

Sucks that the cream hasn't worked FiRaffe, would have been nice to have a solution.

Wow, no naps Shock hope she isn't over tired and you get a good night kismac!

Sam seems to be settling on a couple of reliable sleeps at the moment. He's sleeping until 10am and then sleeps 2.30-4.30. The rest of the day is very variable depending on where we are and which school runs I'm on but I do like to have a rough idea where I am! Just been for a run and feel awesome, wish I could bottle this feeling or even make it last a day or two Grin

Wineandchoccy · 16/06/2015 22:24

Dd has just fed for an hour and also had 4oz of expressed milk as well i hope she sleeps now. My pump is the Philips avent one and seems ok but nothing to compare it to. The loval childrens centre are starting to hire medela electric ones out so may be worth enquiring if anywhere near you hires them out.

I went shopping this afternoon why are shops so difficult to look around with a pram. I knocked jewellery off a stand in New look, TK Maxx was a nightmare and lifts always take forever. I won't be repeating today in a hurry.
