Meant to say *wonder week app, dunno where EPU came from!

ZylaB · 25/03/2015 22:01

Don't have any feeding routine atm min just on demand, but the reflux has been a linker as she's comfort feeding, so hourly or less sometimes. When it calms down I want to get her fed and to bed between 7 and 8, (cluster feeds allowing) and try to dream feed St 20ish, then get 3 hours if poss!

ZylaB · 25/03/2015 22:01

*killer not linker, stupid one handed typing, sorry :)

willywallace · 25/03/2015 22:52

I just feed when she wakes Min and won't be attempting dream feed as it was disastrous with MiniWil! So she goes to bed now and will probably wake about half two ish. Then after feeding then it's anybody's guess. May sleep until 6.30, may wake back up half an hour after going back to bed, who knows?!

ZylaB · 25/03/2015 23:00

The dream feed thing always sounds dead good on the feeding forums wil, think I assumed everyone did it as I don't know any better! Guess I'll have to see Grin

RPopz · 25/03/2015 23:23

I'm dream feeding on the odd occasion I can get him to bed before us. Why was it a killer Wil?

Good luck min!

Great news on the name Pis , looking forward to hearing it Smile DS was nocturnal and clusterfeedy for weeks... it passes though Wink I wind in the day but I don't wake him up to do it at night. He's not particularly affected by wind though.

Mamapopz needs a liver transplant. No great shocker as she was/ is a long time alky. She seems genuinely surprised though.... Hmm

Nessalina · 26/03/2015 01:55

Good luck min Smile We've always fed on demand - never wake a sleeping baby has been my golden rule from the start and I'm sticking with it! Grin
He's very unpredictable at the moment due to teething... First wake might be as early as 10:30, tonight it was 1:30. I always wind him after now because when I don't he gets vommy Confused

Minion · 26/03/2015 04:20

Well she lasted til 11:30 then now at 4. It feels marginally better than 2 abs get up at 5!
Think the dream feed may go.
Another question, if you will.. Do you feed as soon as they wake from naps? I may employ this technique today to see if she wants more.
Seems to take more at night than day.
Little monkey

willywallace · 26/03/2015 05:31

I feed as soon as she wakes because otherwise she'd just scream at me. I think there is a difference there with bf and ff though as it'll depend on the length of R's naps - formula should keep her tummy full for longer than bm so I guess she may not be hungry every time she wakes up? Babywil still pretty much only eats and sleeps though.

zyla, I think wind really might be one of your problems if she doesn't burp much. If I don't get loads of wind up I know that either she'll cry when laid flat, or within 20 minutes will be writhing around making noises and won't settle.

Popz really sorry to hear that, must be quite traumatic for you. What treatment does she need whilst waiting on transplant list?

Tried the dreamfeed with MiniWil and I had the same 'don't wake a sleeping baby' motto as Ness so it felt wrong immediately. It was hard to get her to take the feed, then when she had- first time she projectile vomited it back up, all over me, the walls and the carpet. Second time was sick - although not as badly but was fully awake after being sick and screamed for ages. Both times she woke up only an hour after she would have done anyway and so didn't change how often I was up in the night. Unsurprisingly I gave it up after those two nights.

ZylaB · 26/03/2015 06:59

min I also feed as soon as she wakes, though she was up an hour after being put down all through the night, and wanted boob every time grrr!

wil ok, I'll give winding her a really good go today and see if it makes a difference, thanks! Also, if that's what dream feeding does, I won't be doing it either lol :)

laurenamium · 26/03/2015 08:47

How do you viroids cope with the sleep interrupted nights? Especially those with toddlers that can't sleep in the day? I feel like I'm failing a bit- have sent DP to do DDs parent morning at the school so I can sleep...

RPopz · 26/03/2015 08:54

I just feed on demand.

How old is J now Ness? Are these his first teeth?

She's on all kinds of meds wil which are just generally maintaining her. She shouldn't technically be on the list yet as they're supposed to be 12months alcohol free and apparently she's only 6! (news to me Angry )

willywallace · 26/03/2015 09:28

Thanks Popz, what a difficult situation.

Lauren, I has only been here five minutes, give yourself a break. I find the sleep deprivation easier this time round but it's still horrible. When MrWil was off or at weekends, he pretty much does everything for MiniWil (except meals or he'd feed her buttons and dry bread) and I just sort the little one out. Even when he's working, he gets her up in the morning, gives her breakfast and changes her nappy. This helps loads even though it maybe only gives me an extra half hour or so. So I think the key is not to do everything yourself. I am doing quite crap in how much tv she is watching but hopefully I can stop that soon when MicroWil doesn't need fed as often. I try to get out the house every day to make sure she's doing something. But your DD is at nursery isn't she so you won't need to worry about that so much? If she will agree to a nap then some days I can lie on the couch and get a ten minute cat nap in the afternoon but other days it's not possible.
But my house is an absolute tip which is stressing me out.

laurenamium · 26/03/2015 09:37

popz I hope everything goes as well as it can!

wil thank you! We managed to get out to the park yesterday which was nice but by the time we were home I was about ready to pass out or cry from exhaustion. My house is also a tip, I keep doing little bits but it doesn't seem to make a difference!

ZylaB · 26/03/2015 09:40

Cleaner comes on Saturdays and I swear she spends more time tidying than actually cleanin at the moment! Blush

willywallace · 26/03/2015 10:10

Fuck I'd love a cleaner but am too embarrassed and poor to get one because it's so messy. I hate that feeling Lauren. Toddlers can ruin a tidy room in ten seconds flat.

Pisghetti · 26/03/2015 10:18

I don't know how those of you with toddlers cope. Teenagers have their own challenges but can whizz a Hoover around and make a cup of tea at least. It looks like DP will be working away through the week soon. I've no idea how I'll get anything done - it took me about an hour to do one lot of dishes yesterday (had to do it in stages). I'm putting her bouncy chair together today to see of that will keep her happy for ten minute stretches. At least she can be in the same room as me.

RPopz · 26/03/2015 10:21

Pis it's definitely too soon for you to be doing dishes!! I sat on my sore arse on the sofa for at least a fortnight Grin

willywallace · 26/03/2015 10:25

Yep too soon. I'd cry if MrWil went away. Like proper wailing and hanging on shirt tails.

ZylaB · 26/03/2015 10:58

I hate it when DH is away for a night at a time, up to twice a week. I cleaned the kitchen yesterday and was well impressed with myself, most I've done in the nearly 7 weeks she's been here! Mind you, I'm normally not allowed to put her down at all... Am ignoring the first 4 weeks as she wasn't due so was catching up, so in my eyes she's only 2 and a half weeks old! So she's allowed hehe. Though I'd like her to sleep for longer at night, master I've fed her and settled her, it's about another hour before she wakes up again!

ZylaB · 26/03/2015 11:00

*after I've fed (although master works as I am clearly just mummyslave, here to do her bidding! :))

FurryScoob · 26/03/2015 11:58

Flowers popz hope your mum's not causing you too much stress & she gets treatment soon.

Had a bad night with DD, the nightmares seem to of returned & she's spent half the night crying in her sleep Sad

TheBooMonster · 26/03/2015 13:41

I have to admit there is a part of me that has an insane sense of glee that I can sit on the sofa with Evie and expectantly remind DH that a meal needs preparing, or a wash load needs doing, or Lex is bored and he should take her to the shops or in need of a bum change. Totally makes up for the fact that I've been basically doing everything in the house for the past few months. Though every moment not spent doing jobs is spent on the computer and I'm getting sick of the sound of it's hum! I'm not looking forward to him going back to work as he'll pretty much instantly go back to leaving everything to me because he's at work and being at home with the girls doesn't count as work unless it's him doing it!

ZylaB · 26/03/2015 13:47

I've got a baby permanently glued to my boobs today!

RPopz · 26/03/2015 14:15

Aw Furry that sounds heartbreaking Sad

Haha Boo - that sounds like MrPopz... if you replace computer with phone Angry

Just sharted in Ikea. Bad times.
