He is covered. In his ears, on eyelids, everywhere. In pain with it too, won't let us hug him properly, just screams that it hurts. Temp keeps soaring up to 41/42C between doses of calpol and ibuprofen. Awaiting call back from urgent care at the moment.

JamInMyWellies · 23/02/2015 06:47

How's the boy?

IAmAPaleontologist · 23/02/2015 06:59

in hospital on iv antibiotics. Mobile signal and internet is crap.

MontserratCaballe · 23/02/2015 07:09

Oh no, Indith, so sorry to see that. Hope he picks up really soon. Take care and much love to you both XXXXX

Oh no! Will be thinking of you.

Nolda · 24/02/2015 07:26

Poor little boy! I hope he recovers soon.

ShadyLadyT · 24/02/2015 09:54

How's the poorly lad, Indith? I saw on FB he'd perked up a bit.

Sorry for lengthy absence (again), we were at Mum's for most of half term and then Lille for the weekend, DD3's first foreign trip! It was lovely but the weather was crummy. We went out for a lovely meal on Sat night and all three girls were so well behaved (although this was slightly in contrast with our lunch at a creperie as DD1 is still very hard to please in the eating line).

Yes Arti, Japan is just over a month away! I am excited but also slightly nervous. Partly because of DD1 still being a massively picky eater and DD2 with her allergies. Your travel plans sound fab. I have gone travel bonkers with Lisbon in July, Germany in Aug and Spain in Oct and my 100km walk over four days (the rest of the fam are catching me up after that).

It's been lovely to catch up with everyone's news although very sorry to hear about your travails, Kayz. Sounds rough. Sybs is right, you do a great job managing three kids alone a lot of the time.

Rubes, how is the house purchase going? Fantastic! Really hoping it goes through! How is everything else?

I am going to nip off and come back later today because if I don't start some work now I will lose my mojo for the whole day. Much more to say and ask!

IAmAPaleontologist · 25/02/2015 10:41

poorly boy is scabby, spotty, still getting a few new spots a week after it began, but home on oral antibiotics and anti virals. He is sitting in front of me picking scabs off and eating them. toddlers are disgusting. Am contemplating sticking him in pushchair and going out for some fresh air. Before you all lynch me I'm in the countryside and the railways lines will be deserted.

JamInMyWellies · 27/02/2015 18:43

On my way to meet all my sisters for dinner. We have never all been out just the four of us ever!! This could be brilliant or the underlying tensions may rear up and we may all fall out. I am hoping for brilliant!

McKayz · 27/02/2015 19:03

Fingers crossed for brilliant!!

IAmDeids · 04/03/2015 12:27

Hello All! Sorry for the long absence busy with work, kids, life etc etc. But now have time on my hands due to the fact I have a stress fracture in my foot and am off work Sad I would say I did it running 4 weeks ago but it wasn't so bad, then 2 weeks after that lots of drunken dancing at a wedding in heels and it's been excruciating. I've hobbled along but as the pain was getting no better nipped into A & E for an X Ray and there is a break! Was hoping for tendonitis but hey ho. Am non weight bearing till fracture clinic on Monday when hopefully they will fit a boot so I can start hobbling/driving again. Euro disney in 4 weeks so need it to heel quickly. It's been a nightmare sorting out the kids to & from school (folks on hols, how rude!!Wink ). Thankfully lovely family and friends have all stepped up and we are covered for this week. I hate taking time off work especially as I'm new but they have been brilliant! Was actually a colleague that pursuaded me to get an x ray. May have to consider alternative exercise once fully healed thoughHmm

Enough woe is me...paleo how is DS? Poor mite the pox is an absolute bitch! DS still traumatised from his bout of it!

Jam how was the sisters night out?

Right back to my Sex & the City marathon on some random Sky channel. Have to make the most if this while I can Grin

McKayz · 04/03/2015 12:37

Ouch Deids!

ShadyLadyT · 05/03/2015 09:45

Oh my gracious, DB! Sounds very painful. I think you will be ok to get round Eurodisney in a month though. Hope everyone continues to be supportive!

Where is everyone? I think there was a London meet up last Thursday, heard no word Grin

Yes Jam, how wAs the sisters' thing? And assuming DS2 is tons better now, Indith/Paleo. And is DD better now Kayz?

Have got lots to bore on about. I keep saying I am coming back and never do so the headline news in my world is:

  1. two radio projects I have been in development for over a year got rejected this week and I had to fly over to Shoreditch in between the school run, amidst many complex childcare arrangements, to be told this. Fume

  2. I have nightmare tenants in my London flat who have dumped some of my furniture and belongings in the corridor outside my flat and won't take them back in, thus peeing off my neighbours and creating a fire hazard, as well as upsetting me and stressing me greatly

  3. I bought another flat, a renovation job, with some inheritance money from my uncle, at auction, and HomesundertheHammer were filming and wanted me to go on the show. I said NO WAY

  4. meanwhile, the house we actually live in is still rather crap and we need to press on. All these years later!

DD3 has her final set of jabs today. We got a bit behind, she's 5 months. DD1 went as The White Witch of Narnia for WBD. I am not good at these events. I am rubbish at making creative costumes, plus I find it vv boring.

DD is better thanks Lady. DS1 now has a chest infection but doesn't seem as bad as she was.

I so would have gone on that program. I love it, DH says I watch old lady programs. ??

ShadyLadyT · 05/03/2015 13:30

I love HUTH, don't get me wrong. But it would be my idea of hell to be on it. Also, if anyone is interested, they only pay £350 and you need to give up two whole days of your life for filming! But I wouldn't have done it for £3500 and that is the truth.

Honsandrevels · 05/03/2015 13:46

Hello all,

Glad ds2 is feeling better Paleo. Mine have managed to avoid the pox so far but experiences like this make me think seriously about getting them immunised.

Lady That's rubbish about the radio projects. More fool them. I like doing school costumes! Blush We didn't do WBD but they do a dress up book thing in the autumn term.

Ouch to the foot Deids. Have a rest while you can!

Sybs How exciting to get chatted up at the opera. You've still got it!

Dd2 turned 4 last week. My baby! We had a party in a church hall and did party games which was exhausting but she enjoyed it. Dd1 was v helpful in her role as big girl party assistant keeping the little ones happy.

JamInMyWellies · 12/03/2015 20:58

Gosh its so quiet on here. Makes me a little sad. I know we all chit chat on Fb but I do miss logging on and seeing lots of posts.

ShadyLadyT · 12/03/2015 21:57

I know Jam, I've done my best! I don't even know who went to the meet up the other week. I need more posts! Some of us live in rural isolation!

It's lovely to hear from you, Hons. Will DD2 go to the same school as DD1? I expect like me you are waiting to hear although we should be ok. Our school is quite oversubscribed but we live literally over the road.

IAmDeids · 13/03/2015 11:31

Hello! Yes I've definately been a rubbish poster of late. Must try harder.

The foot is on the mend, although I'm in the most monstrous boot contraption! Must grumble though as I can take it off to drive which means I am no longer housebound. I've also been able to get back to work. Going off sick 3 month into a new job isn't great....

Off for afternoon tea with my mum later for an early mothers day treat for her. Can't wait to gorge on yummy thingsGrin However I've to force a roast dinner down my neck at the mothers day lunch at DD's school. Thankfully it is only a child's portion...think I might give DD extra roasters and Yorkshire pud so I can save some room Wink

To anyone reading this or lurking you must post. We are uncharacteristically quiet.

ShadyLadyT · 13/03/2015 22:33

Glad to hear the foot is better, DB! Those boot things look so cumbersome! Absence apart, are you finding your new job interesting?

I am typing this from bed at Mum's. DD1 is sleeping next to me in the double bed, DD2 is in one corner of the room in a large cot and DD3 is in a pop up cot. It's nice and cosy that's for sure, it's only a small room! But I needed to see Mum, she gets quite depressed. I am still worried about the odd bout of confusion but it's hard to broach. I try to enjoy every visit and live in the now...I don't even think it's dementia but I suppose it could be.

We came up on the train tonight and it was so busy at rush hour (surprise). DP is out at his work Christmas do tonight. I think it's the latest one I have ever heard of - mid-March!

Watched Comic Relief tonight. Oh dear, those films haunt me for months. Which I suppose is the point...

McKayz · 14/03/2015 04:26

Just popping in.

Deids, glad your foot is getting better. Hope you enjoyed your afternoon tea.

DH came home on Tuesday. It's really nice to have him home.

The car is a huge hunk of junk. Needs a new engine pretty much, the mechanic says it'll keep running but it won't pass the mot due in May. I hate cars.

Lady, are you going to have another go at driving lessons?

Hope everyone is well and asleep.

IAmDeids · 14/03/2015 07:58

Uurghh. DS been up all night being sick and now started with the diarrhoea!! We were supposed to be out tonight with friends for dinner. Best cancel that.

Kayz I hate cars. Mine is a very old micra. It's only a run about but due for mot on Tuesday. I'm dreading it. There comes a point when it's just not worth repairing it....but then that means expense having to shell out for a new car.

Lady I do find the job very interesting. The whole environment is very different to what I imagined. But there is never a dull moment! I am lucky in that most of the hairy stuff happens on the wings, not in the Education Dept! Although that does mean that DH could be in the middle of it...but I try not to think about that Hmm

Speaking of DH he wants us to get a dog. I'd love one but I know the bulk of looking after it would fall to me, along with everything else! Plus the expense of them. But the kids would adore having one. I am so torn.

IAmAPaleontologist · 14/03/2015 08:08

had thought of something. Can't remember what it was. This is why i end up not posting on the app because i can't scroll back!

JamInMyWellies · 14/03/2015 12:31

Oi oi everyone!

Dieds god vom and poo hideous. Hope it passes quickly.

Lady that sounds lovely I do like us all squishing in together but only for a night.

Kayz cars suck ours has cost us a grand in the last couple of months.

Am so bored of this house selling milarkey why won't my house sell!!!????

Any way we have arrived at the water that is blue. DH is taking the boys to choose me diamonds GrinGrin or more likely a book. As all they want to do is go to waterstones to spend their wbd token.
