Aah forgot to link and finish my sentence.

Anyway the eco one we loved but did not love the location. So we spoke to the developer he had another development in the borders. Near a town called Peebles. About 25miles sth of Edinburgh on the edge of a forrest. Easily commutable for DH to Edinburgh or when needs the airport to get to London. So he only builds to order , the house we saw was a show home. Which is sadly already sold as it would be much easier!! Anyway we buy the plot of land and contract him to build. Which means our house has to sell so we can release the equity to be able to buy land and fund build. Which means selling here moving to a v small and hopefully cheap rental in Peebles then building. We are very excited to be moving ahead all be it at a very slow pace. Here is the link. www.eskgrove.co.uk/locations/cardrona We are going for the braemar199.

McKayz · 05/01/2015 12:33

Wow Jam that looks gorgeous! V V jealous. Hope it all works out for you.

JumpJockey · 05/01/2015 12:43

Ah that makes more sense - I was picturing you up a ladder with a hod of bricks! So not grand designs but much more practical :) house looks lovely and that 's a gorgeous part of the country.

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/01/2015 14:02

ooh my dcs are off to Peebles for rugby tour in the spring.

At placement. sleepy. Had to get up at 5.30 but dcs in their wisdom thought i needed more time to wake up so tag teamed from around 3 Hmm .

Jammy my mil just built a house. I'm sure it suits them very well. But I'm sure yours will be awesome Grin . i would love to build one like the fab little grand designs house where the husband died during the build.

Will catch the rest of you next time!

Honsandrevels · 05/01/2015 14:16

Hello everyone, sorry I dropped off the thread in the havoc of Christmas.

Vag, lovely to hear from you! So glad to hear you got the job and the move went well.

Jam Wow, that is so exciting. Fingers crossed for a quick sale.

First day back at work today, am meant to be writing an article due in a week but have forgotten the topic. Not a great start!

ZJ did your dh supply Booths again this year? Our sprouts had a 'grown in Yorkshire' label on the bag so they might have been yours.

IAmDeids · 05/01/2015 18:44

Wowsers Jam! How exciting for you all, crossing everything that it all goes smoothly.

Back at work today, I'm worn out...DC only back tomorrow. Am dreading getting them up for the school run. Too many late nights and long lie ins!! Although I did see 4 deer on my way in to work this morning which put me in a really good mood for most of the day Grin .

Oh no!! Forgot to sort the PE kits out...I always forget the PE kitsBlush Blush

McKayz · 05/01/2015 19:25

Oh PE kits!!!!!

ZuleikaJambiere · 05/01/2015 19:45

Happy new year everyone. And a belated happy Christmas and happy birthday to all the December borns who I missed (Mums, as well as children). And welcome to relax.

Just looked at that house link Jam, it's lovely. Fingers crossed for you

Good luck wit the flight Arti, but sounds like it'll be worth it

I can't believe how much you've packed into the last few months Vag. Have the boys started school yet?

Yes, they were very likely our sprouts Hons. Hope you enjoyed them?

Just had a bedtime conversation with DD2 about when she will be old enough to have rainbow coloured hair. She has also announced this week that she's looking forward to being 3 as she'll be big enough to drive my car. This one is causing me a whole lot of grey hairs, I'm terrified at the thought of what the teenage years will bring.

notjustanumber · 05/01/2015 20:39

Happy New Year ! Will try and keep up a bit more this year :0
Brain dead tonight though - first day back at work/school.....

beans39 · 05/01/2015 21:33

Marking my place. Am in bath and have fear of dropping phone. Pulse beating in head a prickly sweat at temples. That's why I will always hate baths. Wallowing in own dirt and sweating. But hoping it will reliev my period pains.

Happy New Year, from your jolly friend!!!! Sorry.
Jam, I was ready for a divorce by the end of the 2 weeks too! But all was forgiven on first day with all three. Forgotten how tough it is!!!!!

This is all tongue in cheek. Promise. Jam, coffee week after next? Can do Mon or Tues as DD3 at childminders!!!! Ha ahahahahha! Big love will catch up reet proper soon xxx

beans39 · 05/01/2015 21:34

Apart feom hating baths. That's not tongue in cheek x

IAmDeids · 06/01/2015 12:16

I too hate baths. Thought it was just me. I like the idea of them but after a couple of minutes I feel sick and overheat. Then when I get out I feel faint. Blush Grin

DH back at work and DC at school and I'm not working! Probably should fj some hose work but really cba.

IAmDeids · 06/01/2015 12:16

That would be house work, Lord knows what hose work is all about!!

beans39 · 06/01/2015 18:33

DD3 has always hated bath and screamed throughout, making it seriously stressful. DH cracked it in the holidays by letting her wander around, not sitting down. she now sits of her own volition. such a relief. hair washing still no fun. hey ho.

Jam... self build?? how cool.

JamInMyWellies · 06/01/2015 19:35

Beans week after next sounds great.

MontserratCaballe · 07/01/2015 07:06

I love a bath, especially after a nice run in the cold.

Kayz, how is the diet going? Hope you are managing to find some nice things to eat.

JamInMyWellies · 07/01/2015 10:03

Waaaahh have abandoned DS3 in the crèche he is going mental!

McKayz · 07/01/2015 10:03

It's not going very well. I finished on 659 calories. I'm hoping it'll be easier next week when DH is back at work!

JamInMyWellies · 07/01/2015 17:05

Kayz that seems like far too little amount of calories to live on. What diet are you doing?

IAmDeids · 07/01/2015 17:43

I think Kayz is doing the 5:2 fast diet Jam. I have contemplated it but the thought if having so few calories and trying to juggle school run/work etc I know I'd just feel faint!

I'm really enjoying the new job. Such a great bunch if people I work with too. After my little wobble when I started I think I've come around Grin

McKayz · 07/01/2015 17:52

Deids is right. I'm doing the 5:2 diet. I have to stick to it though as I'm fed up of looking so grim.

ZuleikaJambiere · 08/01/2015 17:42

Heck Kayz, I'm impressed that you got through a day on that little food without killing everyone in a 50 mile radius. I'm not a pleasant person when hungryAngry (that's me when not fed!). I've been using the my fitness pal app for about 8 months and have dropped a dress size (or had, pre Christmas). I find just tracking my food each day makes me more aware of what I'm eating, and even if I sneak over the limit sometimes most days I'm still eating less than before and so it's working. Good luck!

beans39 · 08/01/2015 18:48

I agree with ZJ about My Fitness app. I always went over, but I lost half a stone in just over a couple of months, so a sensible pace too. and it's stayed off since I stopped over Xmas too. I think keeping a track of what you eat kind of re-educates you on how to eat well. IYSWIM.

beans39 · 10/01/2015 07:30

where are you all??
did couch to 5k first run yesterday. I found it pretty easy and a bit frustrating at having to stop jogging every minute, but I seem to have pulled something in my hip, so maybe I'm not as fit as I thought I was!!!!

SIL and her kids coming for lunch today and tomorrow. but not stauing here. quite weird, but nice. DH taking DD1 and SIL's son to a party in London. lord mayor's no less!!! and SIL taking DD2 and her DD to my inlaws for a sleepover. then the older two are coming back here post party for a sleepover. v sweet. so I've just got DD3 this pm. then all back here for roast chicken tmw. v nice.
although SIL's DD is rotten. she's one of those really unpleasant children who argues every point and is really mean to ither kids. hope DD2 doesn't come back all badly behaved!!! she seems to love the little rat, even though she's often vile to her!!!

DD3 woke me at 5.30am today foe the first time in ages. hope it's not the start of things to come again.

Lady, how are you getting on with 3 girls? I hope your silence is a happy one.

sybs, we need to get our dinner out sorted asap x

McKayz · 11/01/2015 17:58

I am trying to persuade DH that if we can get DD to start sleeping in her room maybe we could have a 4th in a year or so once we have moved.

It is not going well. Sad
