Will be thinking of you today Jammy! Lots of love xx

JamInMyWellies · 26/01/2015 09:33

Think it's fair to say I am absolutely bricking it. Thankyou for the kind words.

MontserratCaballe · 26/01/2015 09:35

The odds are massively in your favour. You will also have the certainty of knowledge rather than worry about what might happen etc. will think if you all day and pray for reassuring news xxxx

Another one popping-in to wish you massive amounts of good luck vibes. In a few hours it will all be over. When do you get the results? I hope you have someone lovely with you. I will be thinking of you today. Xxxxxxx

IAmAPaleontologist · 26/01/2015 19:16

Wonderful!

ShadyLadyT · 26/01/2015 19:17

That is really wonderful news, Jam. Phewf! I did think it would be ok but it's all very well to say that I know and even just having to let your mind consider the worst case scenarios is hideous.

I would raise a glass for you but I am five:twoing. Rrrrrrr, starving!

McKayz · 26/01/2015 19:43

That's brilliant Jam!! Very very happy for you!

Lady, it took me about 5 minutes to work out what five:twoing was even though I'm doing the same Blush

IAmDeids · 26/01/2015 19:54

Jam excellent news! Such a relief for you x

TheInvisibleHand · 26/01/2015 21:56

McKayz · 27/01/2015 09:37

Lady, have you had any trouble taking the girls away? We are going to France in April and obviously the boys have a different surname to me.

ShadyLadyT · 27/01/2015 10:01

The only time I have had any trouble is travelling on Eurostar. Customs are very iffy about the fact that I have a different name to the girls and have twice asked me to travel with copies of their birth certs and possibly a letter from their father Hmm at which I draw the line, tbh. Not had a problem taking them anywhere on a plane, but suspect I would in the US. Oooh, where are you off to in France? Lovely. Did I see on FB you are going to DL? The kids will explode. Mine are desperate to go.

Aww, Invis, don't lose the plot! Is it work, or work/home balance?

Still intending to post properly but it won't be today as Tuesdays are my only day without the big girls all day and I work!

Oooh, enjoyed Wolf Hall last week. Anyone else?

ShadyLadyT · 27/01/2015 10:03

PS - Kayz - only started the 5:2 yest, inspired by your excellent 5lb loss! I did it a couple of years ago for a bit, but am doing it on consecutive days this time, a la the Horizon prog the other week.

McKayz · 27/01/2015 11:43

We're going on the ferry. Going to Dunkirk though instead of Calais as DS1 is interested in the world wars. I might ask XH to write a letter and take certificates.

We are staying at a eurocamp about an hour north of Paris. We aren't too sure what to do on the other days yet. Need to have a look.

I'm not sure I'd be able to do back to back fasting days.

ShadyLadyT · 27/01/2015 12:14

I'm a terrible sailor but despite this I do like a ferry. Also, I think they are fun for kids on the whole and a family friendly way to travel. We'll be doing the same when we go to Germany later in the summer. When you waft the passports out the car window for a ferry crossing they might not be too fussed - I have only ever done ferry travel with DP though - so I would grit your teeth and take the birth certs for the boys at least, you don't want any banana skins! I do resent it though.

IAmDeids · 27/01/2015 19:02

When do you go Kayz? We are heading to DL Paris for 4 nights on the 29th....The kids are so excited! As am I if I'm honest Grin

IAmAPaleontologist · 27/01/2015 19:21

That'll be nice Kayz. Lots to do in that area, sure you will find plenty to fill your days. We spent a week on the Baie de Somme last summer, was lovely.

Deids too, you'll have a great time.

I confess I'm not that keen on Paris. Don't know why, just don't like it.

We are off to Norfolk this summer, we've booked a cottage already so I'm looking forward to it. We'll be near a beach with lots of fossils so dd is happy Grin.

First though dh and I have our 2 nights child free in a posh hotel. In March. Getting closer and closer! I can't wait. Lots to do before then though!

LadyT lovely to have you back. Don't you work yourself into the ground now though.

Honsandrevels · 27/01/2015 20:17

Evening all, dropping in as just caught up and I couldn't not say a big 'phew!' for Jammy! What a relief!

Will back tomorrow, promise!

TheInvisibleHand · 28/01/2015 03:16

LadyT - nothing too dramatic, just the usual mix of work and home with a bit too much going on. Been haring round different bits of the country for things, which is never great for getting what you need done. Also been doing stuff on the house - so loft just about done, but then we need to paint, carpet etc and when you look at it, kind of makes sense to do the whole house. DH is hard work on these projects as he likes to mull over everything from every angle and I just want to get on with it. Dcs and DS especially, unsurprising clamoring for a bit of attention.

I did catch (most) of Wolf Hall and despite steeling myself to be disappointed, I really enjoyed it. I saw the stage play and though it was probably OK on its own terms, it stripped out the subtlety and richness that make the books so special. The TV show was much better for that - I guess the luxury of a 6 partner and having mark Rylance who is always incredible to watch as an actor.

Kayz - I have a different name to the DC but haven't had trouble.

paleo - I'm with you, I don't love Paris. Something about the plannedness of it I find a bit oppressive compared to the vitality of London's anarchicness. But I wouldn't say no! Our old nanny is offering to have the DC for a sleepover and we are all beyond excited. Am trying to plot hols - we are going to do the big trip to Canada this summer to see my brother, which will be great though right now it feels like one more chore to sort out. Funnily enough, last year we all caught up in Norfolk - which was good fun.

MontserratCaballe · 28/01/2015 06:57

Very quickly as I am about to leave for breakfast club - so glad to hear your news, Jammy. Well done for getting it checked out and happy your mind has been put at rest.

Hope to be back later for a proper catch up. Lots of love to you all

We go on the 3rd April Deids. Think we are doing DL on the Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm so sick of having this cold. My nose feels constantly blocked.
