ddas · 21/12/2014 13:53

So sorry to hear this wlmum. So Hard when these things happen over Xmas. Hope she's being looked after well in there. Do they know what the primary is?

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 21/12/2014 14:59

Oh WL, I'm so sorry. Life is utterly shit at times. Xxx

ddas · 21/12/2014 15:45

fandango how are you and j settling into the new house? Hope it's starting to feel like home now.

ISpyPlumPie · 21/12/2014 17:37

So sorry WL. Thinking of you all Thanks

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 21/12/2014 20:13

It's lovely thank you DDAS. Really quiet, beautifully decorated (by me) and loads of cupboards so i can shove the clutter AWAY! Grin

Barbeasty · 21/12/2014 20:39

Sounds perfect fandango.

So DD, having had tonsillitis for the whole of the week before last, is now ill again. She's had a cold and temperature all day and then was sick when she went to bed. A seems to be getting better but hates the new medicine at least as much as the old one.

SpottyTeacakes · 21/12/2014 20:47

Ds is under the weather again too. Cough, streaming nose and fever. Was sick from coughing earlier.

MrsNutella · 21/12/2014 22:34

willyou I hope you're both setting in to your new home. I hope you DS and your family have a wonderful Christmas!!

DS and DD seem to have fairly constant colds here to. FX they are ok enough to enjoy Christmas DS and a tree in the house is going to be interesting I think...Grin

halestone · 22/12/2014 11:38

Willyou I also hope you have a lovely 1st christmas in your new home.

We've been lucky this year and have so far managed to avoid illness, however everyone around us seems to have a cold/chest infection at the moment. I am praying we do not get them for Christmas day.

WL how are you? How is your mum today?

All Christmas shopping is done Grin Just have to pick up the turkey on Christmas eve morning. The only presents i have to wrap are those that need making on christmas eve once H is in bed.Grin

I got shouted at today for looking at someone's unruly dc the wrong way. The best I could manage back was to tell her to shut up Blush she didn't appreciate that Grin I wasn't even looking at him funny that's just my normal face Grin

Anyway we went and saw FC at chessington garden centre. Ds wouldn't talk or sit with him but did wave goodbye. No photos as I didn't want to drive him, dd would only stand in front of him but her friend jumped right onto his lap!

Barbeasty · 22/12/2014 17:30

I think DD being sick was just her cold. She was ever so good this morning, and wore pyjamas and her big pink fluffy coat to do the Waitrose shop at 7 am. A was up early anyway.

But now DH has the hideous cold (verging on flu). We're at his work party tonight, but he left work early and checked into the hotel at about 2 and went to bed! He's determined to make it though.

I'd better not get whatever it is....

PurplePidjingThroughTheSnow · 22/12/2014 19:20

r's coughing and snuffling a bit but is fine in himself

Haha at your resting bitchface Spotty Grin

tip of the day: don't back carry on the bus. especially not if you then go on to reach too far to get a toy from the back seat of the car in the 12 second stop at traffic lights Blush

MrsNutella · 22/12/2014 19:27

Ouch pidj you both ok and unscathed? I have a tendency to bump DD into things in the wrap Confused

PurplePidjingThroughTheSnow · 22/12/2014 21:03

He's fine, was pulling faces at a couple of fascinated preteens! My back, however, might be needing ibuprofen for breakfast Xmas Hmm Was definitely worth it though, he not only got to see his big cousins for the afternoon but he also got to go on a bus and was completely awestruck Xmas Grin

PurplePidjingThroughTheSnow · 22/12/2014 21:05

If I'd had any sense I'd have popped him on my front. Then I could have actually worn my coat instead of getting hot and sweaty carrying the damn thing

ddas · 22/12/2014 21:10

How do you convince him to back carry pidj. I ended up walking into town today with both dc's. took connecta with me but dd just wanted to 'walk walk walk' so ended up taking forever to get there and back and then felt permently stressed in town keeping my eye on both of them with so many people around. But she just would not be carried! Ds on the other hand wanted to be but it's the baby connecta so he's too big for it plus I really struggle with his weight even in the bigger ergo. Still not quite sure how dd managed to walk for so long with no signs of being tired. She better sleep tonight! I feel tired from the stress- can you tell I'm not a fan of big crowds ;)

PurplePidjingThroughTheSnow · 22/12/2014 21:49

erm i kinda just swaddle him in fabric and throw him over my shoulder (i particularly enjoy doing it in front of new first time mums Wink ) he doesn't get much choice in the matter! he loves it up there, and i usually let him walk till he's tired before offering cuddles. but mostly the he likes it plus i make him thing

ddas · 22/12/2014 21:59

Dd is sadly stronger than me Blush. Throws a right hissy fit when she wants to walk not be carried and flings herself everywhere making it unsafe!. Maybe she'll grow up to be a marathon runner, a very short one lol.

ddas · 22/12/2014 22:01

As in size wise. Always think of marathon runners as talk and gangly whilst dd def on the short and stocky side :)
